Chapter 30
Yuan Luoyi plunged into Yuan Yong's embrace, and was surprised to find that his embrace was also cold. The Yuan family members resembled snakes, with muted emotions and cool skin.
And she was the Yuan family's only warm-blooded creature, from whom the venomous snakes wanted to soak up warmth.
Yuan Yong said, "You won this round of the great escape beautifully. You hid yourself when at a disadvantage, waiting for the opportunity, and struck decisively when you had the upper hand. How did it feel to use the gun?"
Yuan Luoyi said, "The force was too great, it made my hand numb."
Yuan Yong laughed softly, leaning down, his dark shadow falling over Yuan Luoyi like a thin veil.
"I'm not referring to the physical sensation, but to the psychological feeling. When I first shot and killed an enemy, my heart raced, and I was exhilarated. I regretted it immediately - I should have used a knife instead of a gun, more primitive, more cruel, the feeling would have been better. I can teach you how to use a knife later, you'll definitely enjoy the sensation of using a knife."
Yuan Luoyi looked at Yuan Yong. He was very handsome, the tear mole at the corner of his eye gave him an effeminate air, his voice was melodious, yet the words he spoke were full of violence and bloodshed. He was born with a thirst for killing, and always wanted to mold Yuan Luoyi into the same.
If she was truly a child of the Yuan family, perhaps she would be happy to learn from him. But she was not. 𝗳r𝐞ew𝚎bn𝚘ve𝚕.c𝗼𝗺
Yuan Luoyi said, "If I don't want to learn, will you abduct me and force me to learn?"
Yuan Yong said, "My dear sister, don't worry, I won't do that. Children need time to grow up. You may not like it now, but you'll enjoy it when you're older."
Yuan Luoyi said, "So you're saying that when I grow up, you'll definitely come and abduct me?"
Yuan Yong smiled meaningfully, undoubtedly he would do so.
This strong obsession, perhaps it was because his heart rate changed with his sister's cries, or perhaps because he didn't want her to stay with those four lunatics, or perhaps because he was tired of loneliness and wanted his sister's company.
In any case, Yuan Yong didn't understand complex human emotions, nor did he know how much humanity he had left, but he was certain that he had to take his sister away from the evil Yuan family. The venomous snakes would eventually harm her, but he would never do that.
As her brother, he had the sacred duty of protecting his sister.
Yuan Yong said, "By the way, you've received the first gift. What would you like for the second one?"
Yuan Luoyi said, "I want to eat pizza."
Yuan Yong asked, "Pizza?"
Yuan Luoyi nodded, "Yes, I'm hungry after the exercise, let's go to the cafeteria, the pizza there tastes good."
Yuan Yong chuckled softly. A little girl's wish was pure and adorable. She didn't know that if she wanted someone's head, Yuan Yong could also give it to her. "Then let's go to the cafeteria."
Yuan Luoyi and Yuan Yong left the playground together, drawing envious glances from the students. They had lost the competition, and the gym teacher said their physical abilities were too weak, demanding they run three laps around the playground. Only Yu Hua was spared, sitting in the shade of a tree, gleefully watching the other students panting in exhaustion.
When they reached the cafeteria, Yuan Luoyi noticed many older students there, buying food while sneaking glances at her.
"She's the little princess of the Yuan family!"
"Wow, her looks are even cuter than on TV!"
"Not only is she adorable on the outside, did you see the latest hot search? An 11-year-old girl shot four people point-blank, this girl has both wisdom and tactics."
Yuan Luoyi then realized she had become a hot search topic. It made sense - her influence had suddenly risen to 60, which could only be achieved by becoming a hot topic.
Finding a spacious spot, Yuan Luoyi sat down while Yuan Yong went to buy pizza.
Suddenly, her second brother Yuan Fa emerged from the crowd, marching furiously towards Yuan Yong and blocking his path. Yuan Luoyi felt a gust of wind beside her ear and turned to see her eldest brother Yuan Ao sitting next to her, smiling at her.
Yuan Luoyi froze, remembering that her eldest brother had warned her long ago not to interact with her third brother.
Oh no, they were caught on the scene. How could she explain this?
Would her eldest brother be angry?
Yuan Luoyi observed Yuan Ao's expression, his smile was enigmatic, revealing no real emotion, which made Yuan Luoyi nervous.
Yuan Fa's anger, however, was apparent - he was very tall and imposing. "Third brother, long time no see. I've heard you were like a fish in water on the battlefield, killing many people. I'm truly happy for you. But, do you remember what I said the last time we met?"
Yuan Yong remained unruffled, his tone slightly mocking, "You mean, if I get close to our sister again, you'll send me to hell yourself?"
Yuan Fa revealed a shark-like sinister grin. "Correct. Have you written your will? Considering we're still blood-related, perhaps I can provide a little assistance, like having your will executed tomorrow."
Yuan Yong pressed his hat's brim down with one hand, his face cast in shadow, but his eyes shone with cold, murderous intent. "Who kills whom is still undecided. I'm not 15 anymore."
Yuan Fa made exaggerated theatrical gestures with his hands, shaking his head in dismay. "Still no respect for your elder brother. Perhaps the eldest brother should re-teach you how to speak with proper manners."
Their gazes turned towards the eldest brother Yuan Ao, who had the final say in major and minor matters of the Yuan family. Even Yuan Yong, who had left home for many years, was bound by Yuan Ao's authority, for the Yuan family's connections extended not only to the business world but also to the military.
Yuan Ao tapped the table rhythmically with his fingers, his eyes lowered in thought. After a moment, his hand rested on Yuan Luoyi's shoulder, startling her.
Yuan Ao said, "I told you not to interact with Yuan Yong. Why did you still do it?"
As the eldest son of the Yuan family, Yuan Ao's desire for control had always been strong. In the past, Yuan Luoyi would never have dared to defy Yuan Ao's decisions, but now, she knew her eldest brother was actually quite gentle, so it should be fine, right...?
She looked at Yuan Ao, her large eyes pure and innocent. "Because third brother hasn't been home for a long time. He must be lonely out there on his own, so I wanted to keep him company."
It turned out that Yuan Luoyi's thought was correct, because Yuan Ao's gaze immediately softened, and he ruffled her hair.
"Your brothers have important matters to discuss, which might be a bit boring for you. The cafeteria has installed new claw machines with very cute plush toys inside. Why don't you go try your luck? Maybe you'll find one you like."
Yuan Luoyi understood what her eldest brother meant. The conversations between the Yuan brothers were always aggressive, and they didn't want her to see their dark side.
So Yuan Luoyi trotted away.
Yuan Ao wasn't lying - the cafeteria did have new claw machines installed, filled with adorable plush toys.
She inserted two coins, and the machine played a cheerful tune as it whirred into motion. She focused intently, operating the joystick to try and grab a plush toy.
