’I don’t know how strong she is,’ Arin thought, staring at her. ’So I don’t know how confronting her would be.’

Though, for some reason, Arin didn’t see Kiara anymore. It was almost as if she disappeared as soon as classes ended.

He began walking out of the Weapon Training class with Leon walking in front of him.

As soon as they left the class into the hallway, Arin moved beside Leon.

"Oh, Brother," Leon said with a smile as soon as he saw Arin. "I danced with three beauties yesterday."

"I see.... That’s good," Arin said.

Leon was about to continue rambling about the three girls he danced with, but Arin cut him off.

"We’ll talk about that later," Arin said. "For now, you know the location, right?"

Leon nodded his head. "Of course."

"Great. And remember..."

"Don’t say your name," Leon completed what Arin was about to say.

Arin nodded his head. "I’ll see you there."

With that, he increased his walking pace, and seconds later, he was already outside the main Academy building.

The first person he saw as soon as he exited the building was Lina.

"Arin!" She called out. "I saw you coming out, so I decided to wait for you."

Arin smiled as he walked towards her. "What if I had entered inside back?"

Lina pouted. "I would have still waited..... Hehehe."

Suddenly, she leaned closer to him before whispering, "Brother, I saw you dancing with a beauty in the ceremony yesterday."

"You didn’t tell me that I would soon have a sister-in-law," Lina added with a cheeky grin.

She thought that she had succeeded in teasing Arin, but she didn’t know that Arin also had something to say.

Arin grinned. "In that case, I guess I can also start calling Hector my brother-in-law."

"I know," Lina said as she turned back and started walking towards Hector, who was standing not too far from her. "I’ll see you later."

Arin saw that Hector was waving at him, and he waved back before turning back and walking away.

As usual, before he got to the forest, he wore his mask, and after reaching the usual spot, he saw Tessa and Leon.

They were both discussing without any sign of quarreling.

"I hope they won’t just start quarreling all of a sudden, just like they did that day," Seraphine said.

"That’s if Leon doesn’t annoy her," Arin replied.

Immediately, Tessa saw Chaos, she gave him a silent nod, which he returned. Meanwhile, Leon was about to exclaim, but he seemed to remember that they were now in the forest, making him lower his voice.

Arin clasped his hands behind his back before he started speaking. "I believe the both of you remember that black smoke that came out of the Portal, right?"

They both nodded their heads in reply before Arin continued.

"Just like I said that day, it’s the Nightmare Shadow," Arin said. "To an extent, it’s not a dangerous Shadow."

Both Tessa and Leon listened as Arin continued.

"It’s able to communicate by appearing in the person’s dream or, in other words, nightmare."

"So do we have to be worried about it?" Tessa asked as she folded her arms. "Or do you have a plan?"

Arin glanced at both of them as he replied, "Yes. If we play our cards right, we’ll be able to use it... against Alex."

Tessa’s expression instantly turned serious as she squinted her eyes while Leon glanced at Arin and Tessa.

"But how?" Leon asked. "Moreover, we don’t even know where it went."

"That’s not a problem," Arin said.

"What I’m about to say might sound absurd, but..."

He paused as he glanced at both of them.

"The Nightmare Shadow just wants a friend."

Leon frowned slightly. "Huh?"

Arin squinted his eyes. "He has knowledge about the different sub-races of Shadows."

Tessa turned to look at Leon, who was still clutching his head. "So you’re saying he has knowledge about the Nightmare Shadow and other Shadows?"
