While Amon and Yue wandered the streets of Eshon in idle affection, the Titans were anything but idle.

They had already convened. This would not be a war of conquest. It would be a battle for existence itself.

Agos, the Titan King, presided over the council in cold silence before outlining the strategy they had refined and reaffirmed. There would be no reckless charges, no underestimation of their enemies.

They had learned that lesson well. The first objective was clear: separation.

Amon Solaris was the first target. He wasn't a divine just yet, but his strength already matched that of greater Titans.

If left unchecked, Amon would grow into a threat far greater than Yue Elune.

Thus, Agos himself would engage him. The Titan King would force a confrontation and tear open an isolated space. There, within a sealed reality divorced from the material world, he would imprison Amon and sever him from Yue's side.

It did not need to be permanent. It only needed to last long enough.

Once Amon was removed from the equation, the remaining five would converge upon Yue Elune—the newly ascended Spirit Goddess. Alone, each Titan might falter against her command of the spiritual realm. But together?

Together they embodied calamity itself. Sky, Fire, Mountain, Metal, and Space—five primordial authorities acting in unison. Even a goddess would struggle beneath the combined weight of their divinity.

They would overwhelm her. Exhaust her. Break her.

And when she fell, weakened or slain, they would regroup and shatter Agos' domain from without, collapsing the sealed space and turning the full force of five Titans upon Amon Solaris.

It was conniving, yes, but it was also their path to victory.

But a plan alone was not enough.

Amon and Yue were not fools—they would not walk willingly into an obvious ambush. The Titans would need bait. A provocation irresistible enough to draw the pair out together. Something that would ignite Yue's sense of responsibility… or Amon's protective instincts.

"Are you sure this will work?"

"Yes," Agnosia, the former Titan of Life and the Herald, spoke with utmost confidence. "There are probably very few things that could draw the pair out. But, as humans, they share the same weakness as we do."

The Herald stood in silence, its gaze lowering toward the three humans lying upon the stone slab.

They slept unnaturally still, as though the air itself had pressed them into submission.

The first was a middle-aged man of striking bearing. Even in slumber, there was something resolute about the line of his jaw and the set of his shoulders. A neatly kept goatee framed a face just beginning to surrender to time—fine creases at the corners of his eyes, faint lines etched by years of responsibility. Age had touched him, but it had not diminished him. If anything, it lent him gravity.

Beside him rested a brown-haired woman whose features carried a subtle, feline sharpness—slightly upturned eyes, high cheekbones, a quiet elegance that lingered even in unconsciousness. Though nearing her fifties, she retained a remarkable measure of youthful beauty. Time had refined her rather than eroded her, softening nothing of her presence.

And then there was the third.

A young maiden, barely into her twenties. Her breathing was shallow, her expression peaceful, unaware of the storm gathering around her fate. She possessed the kind of beauty that would draw envy from her peers—clear skin, delicate features, an almost luminous vitality that seemed untouched by hardship.

Of the three, she appeared the most fragile… And the most valuable.

Yet what struck the Herald most was not their appearances individually—but the thread that bound them together.

The curve of the man's brow. The sharpness in the woman's eyes. The young maiden's bone structure was unmistakable even in repose. Each bore a resemblance to the same man.

Amon Solaris. Not identical. Not enough for a casual observer to remark upon.

But to one searching for leverage—searching for blood, for lineage—it was obvious.

The Herald's lips curled faintly.

"Family, they will never abandon their family."

The Herald spoke confidently while stroking Arya's black hair. Amon's sister didn't resist, no, she couldn't. She was frozen in space by the Titan King. Not even the greatest Solaris Knight could unshackle those restraints.

Agnosia then placed her fingers on Aaron and Maya, who were in the same physical state. They weren't harmed in the slightest because the Herald knew they were more valuable living than dead. If the Titans had their dead bodies, Amon would simply rampage and destroy everything without falling into their trap.

But if they were alive…

It was easy to lure the bastard into their lair.

"We have the winning hand."

❖❖❖

One day later.

Amon and Yue were intercepted as they returned to their home.

A full delegation from Solaris House stood waiting beneath the arching marble colonnade, their formation rigid, their expressions uniformly grim. The air around them felt heavy—none of the usual warmth or ceremonial pride that accompanied a family reception.

At the forefront stood Grandpa Alrock. But not as the genial old grandfather. Today, he stood as the Solaris Lord. The warmth in his eyes had cooled into something steely and resolute.

Beside him stood Raewyna Solaris, Knight Commander of the White Dragon Order. Behind them, ranked in solemn lines, were senior retainers and White Dragon knights.

No one spoke casually. No one smiled.

The moment Amon stepped forward, the silence sharpened.

"... What did you say?"

Amon froze when he received the news. His family, the ones who loved and welcomed him into this world, were missing.

"W-We… Failed to protect them… Please punish us!"

Two Solaris Knights from the White Dragon Order bowed their heads with deep remorse. They were Guardian Knights with five Suns condensed. Not only that, they were from the White Dragon Order, the Knight Order used specifically to protect precious individuals of the Solaris House.

"It was my mistake," an aged, sorrowful voice echoed out. Raewyna Solaris almost knelt on the ground as she addressed Amon. "I should have assigned more Knights to them, no… I should have protected them myself. I deserve the worst punishment."

"..."

Amon was angry, sure, but he didn't lose his head.

If his family was kidnapped… it was likely the deed of either the Demon Empire or the Titans.

If it were the Demon Empire, they would have sent an Apostle or even summoned a Demon Noble, both of which could destroy two Guardian Knights in a flash. But, if Demons appeared, Amon and Yue would have noticed it and using Yue's teleportation, they could return to protect them.

But from the accounts of the two Guardian Knights.

"You're saying that space warped around them and they disappeared? There weren't any signs of demonic mana?"

"N-No, there wasn't…"

"..."

Then it was confirmed.

The Titans have struck.

Not only that, the Titan King showed his hand. Only Agos possessed the power of space and could flawlessly kidnap Amon's family without leaving a trace. But, to think that the Titan King would lower himself to act against three mortals…

"It must be the work of the Herald," Yue interjected, her brows furrowed with deep concern. "The Herald is the only one who could devise such a plot. A very human-like plot."

Titans, being the pinnacle of all creation and power, wouldn't stoop to this level. In fact, that's why Amon and Yue didn't think to give more protection to their loved ones. Yet, that foolishness had cost them.

"Once again, we underestimated them. Not in terms of power, but how despicable they can be."

Yue cursed. She hadn't expected this situation.

"Amon… What are you going to do?" Alrock probed.

Against the Titans, the Solaris House could only help a little. There wasn't a Knight Commander as powerful as Amon or Yue, and the Titans were entities that could level continents.

If there was anyone who could save them… it was Amon.

But, the Titans had undeniably laid a trap. One so apparent that it might as well be a pitt without any cloth to obscure it.

Yet, Amon couldn't afford to ignore it.

Amon closed his eyes.

Memories rose unbidden, vivid and merciless.

His father, Aaron Solaris. A man who carried the weight of a great house upon his shoulders, yet always found time to kneel beside a small, uncertain boy. When Amon's talent failed to bloom in childhood, when whispers crept through the corridors, and disappointment hung unspoken in the air, his father had never once withdrawn his faith.

His mother, Maya Solaris. She had nurtured him with a patience he had never known in his previous life. Never feeling familial affection in his past life, Maya showered him with love. She celebrated his smallest victories as though they were miracles. She shielded him from quiet scorn with nothing but grace and composure.

And then his sister.

Bright. Fierce. Stubborn.

Other than Yue, she was the only girl he had ever sworn to protect without hesitation. He remembered her clinging to his arm when storms rolled across the estate, pretending not to be afraid. He remembered her defiant glare at anyone who dared question her brother's worth. She believed in him long before the world had reason to.

They had been his first anchors in this life.

When he reincarnated into this unfamiliar world, confused and detached, it was they who gave him something solid to hold onto.

They taught him how to laugh without calculation. How to care without weighing cost and benefit. How to love without restraint.

They made him human again.

Which was precisely why the choice before him was never truly a choice… even if it was an obvious trap.

Amon exhaled slowly. Then he opened his eyes.

If his family stood at the bottom of that abyss, then he would descend into it willingly. Even if it meant walking straight into the jaws of his enemies.

"Yue, gather everyone. We're raiding the Necropolis tonight."
