The Eternal Bound-Chapter 54: I’ll Listen
Chapter 54 - I'll Listen
Triqi woke up in a garden that looked so peaceful with no one there. The cool breeze made Triqi forget everything for a moment. Triqi closed her eyes until someone hugged her tightly from behind.
Triqi was surprised to see Valan's handsome face smiling while hugging her. Triqi smiled, leaning her head on Valan's shoulder like she usually did.
"Where is this?"
Triqi's voice broke the silence. Valan smiled softly, kissed Triqi's cheek, and then looked back forward.
"I don't know. I'm not too sure. I just miss you, and you really appeared in front of me. I want to say sorry for yelling at you earlier and... I want to kiss you for the last time, maybe?"
Triqi immediately turned around when she heard Valan's last sentence. Her face suddenly panicked, and she hugged Valan tightly.
"What's the last time?! Don't joke with me, Valan! I need you! Don't ever joke about something that's not funny like this again!"
Unconsciously Triqi shouted emotionally at Valan. Tears dripped down her pale cheeks again. But Valan smiled softly and stroked her cheek carefully.
"Hey... don't cry. You know very well that I don't like seeing you cry. I just want to kiss you. Why is it so difficult?"
Valan tried to comfort Triqi, who had a sulking expression. His lips moved to kiss her face lovingly until Triqi protested and moved Valan's lips away from her face.
"I'm still mad at you! Don't ever joke about you leaving again! I won't allow it, you hear me?!" Triqi shouted bitterly. Valan smiled slightly, then hugged her body tightly.
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry. But you still have to live. You want to meet your father, right? He's waiting for you there. Give him my regards, okay?"
"W-what do you mean, Valan? You scared me...."
Triqi panicked even more when Valan didn't answer her anymore. Triqi's body slowly faded until Triqi was swallowed up by the endless black hole.
...
"VALAN!"
Triqi jumped up from her sleep. Her breath quickened, and without realizing it, her tears flowed because she remembered the nightmare she had just experienced. Triqi tried hard to wipe away her tears. Sobbing, she didn't realize that someone had just wiped away her tears.
The man's handsome face seemed to soften when he saw her wake up. He pulled back his hand and waited for Triqi to say something to him.
"Father?"
Triqi's voice sounded hoarse and hesitant. Tritan smiled happily after hearing his daughter's melodious voice. The man moved to stroke his daughter's hair gently, then smiled again.
"Yes, I'm here. Is there anything you want from me?"
Triqi shook her head slowly after hearing Tritan's words. Her face was down, she didn't know what topic she should talk about with her father who had only been lying in a glass coffin.

Usually, Triqi would tell a lot if she was with Valan.
"Where are Mom and Dad? And... Valan? Is he okay?"
Triqi immediately panicked when she remembered Valan again. She immediately got up from the bed, but her body was held back by Tritan and for some reason, Triqi suddenly got scared when she saw Tritan's face turning cold.
"Who are you calling Dad, hm? I'm your father. And about that halfblood... I can't believe your mother betrayed me while I was lying there."
Triqi unconsciously let go of Tritan's grip on her hands. Triqi didn't understand what Tritan meant by his words.
"B, but Valan is my twin...."
"You're not, Triqi! I only acknowledge you as my daughter! Who is that dog? Your mother dared to tie a relationship with that dog without my knowledge!"
Triqi shook her head in fear when Tritan suddenly shouted at her. Val never even yelled at her on purpose, no matter how big Triqi's mistake was.
"Fa, father-"
"LET GO OF HIM, TRITAN!"
Elyna immediately rushed in when she saw her child scared in Tritan's grip. Elyna's heart ached when Tritan looked at her coldly. Elyna no longer recognized who the man in front of her was.
"You taught her this, hm? You never taught her to know who her father is. Why am I even in a coffin? Who made me like that? Arrggh! Why does everything make my head hurt?! I just want to be with you guys! Can you guys appreciate me for once?"
Tritan's voice sounded uncertain and confused. He seemed lost as his body collapsed on the sofa in the room. His hands massaged his throbbing head. Elyna, who had initially looked at Tritan differently, began to soften her face again. Tears began to fall, seeing how painful it was to be Tritan, who had lost his memory when he woke up and saw that everything had changed. Tritan only remembered that he had found Elyna. And after that, everything fell apart. His heart felt betrayed when he found out that Elyna had bonded with a werewolf while he was lying in the coffin.
Tritan even forgot that he was the one who did all that for Elyna's happiness.
Slowly, Elyna tried to hug Tritan, who kept sitting in frustration while trying to neutralize his anger. He didn't mean to scare Elyna and their daughter. No. It's just that he couldn't accept that he was a stranger in his family. Georgio even took the werewolf in his care. Everyone seemed to have abandoned him. That's what Tritan felt.
A warm hug made Tritan unconsciously lean his head on Elyna's shoulder. He wasn't like this before. Even Tritan remembered he planned to make Elyna happy once they were bonded later.
And now? Suddenly, he even had a charming teenage daughter like Triqi.
"I... just want to make up for the time I lost with you guys. My daughter is even more worried about other people than his father. My father defends other people than me. Do... do you even remember me when I was lying in that dark room?"
Tritan's soft voice made Elyna's tears even more audible. She should have remembered how much Tritan sacrificed for her happiness. But they didn't intend to leave Tritan behind. Val even took the beating on purpose because he felt he deserved it.
"It's not like that. Let us explain it to you slowly, okay? I know some of the explanations may sound unreasonable. But trust me, I will explain the truth to you. You don't have to bear everything alone. We are here for you. Just... please listen to us."
Tritan smiled sadly hearing the pleading voice. His hands hugged Elyna tighter. He didn't even remember ever hugging Elyna that tightly. His body felt empty and tired all over.
Tritan closed his eyes for a moment. Smelling Elyna's scent that made him calm, he whispered,
"I will listen. Just... please let me hug you guys for a moment. I want to remember how it feels to hug the people I love."
Hearing the word 'you guys', Triqi, who had been watching, finally cried and threw herself into her father's arms. Tritan might not have warm skin that was nice to hug like Val. But when that calm face looked happy when they were close, Triqi felt an indescribable sense of comfort. His feelings might be right. His father just wasn't used to waking up from his long sleep. Triqi should have understood, so she hugged Tritan even tighter.
And at that moment, Tritan wished that time would stop for just a moment.
