The Editor Is An Extra-Chapter 70: Mock exam 6
Sarah, Elsa, and Dion had returned almost simultaneously, and just as Anastasia was about to begin talking, some idiot entered the hall demanding to be included in the ’council’.
’Another shitty third rate villain.’ I couldn’t help but shake my head as I gazed at the House Forge Scion.
You see, Calum was like Damon used to be before my transmigration. An arrogant third rate villain with a superiority complex. But unlike Damon who got humbled multiple times during combat classes in the first week, Calum hadn’t met with a stronger opponent.
Though he got it handed to him when he met Rose in the midterms. Even still, that didn’t humble him, he kept provoking the main cast throughout the second volume. He felt inferior to the main cast so much that he ended up becoming a heretic.
In the end though, he eventually died just like every third rate villain, except he died without even being able to scratch any of the main casts.
Anyway, the little shit had also tried to provoke me a few times these past weeks, but I hadn’t given in.
In that shitty brain of his, he was probably thinking how it was possible that Dion, Elsa and Sarah were picked, while he was left with the dregs. The three were all from tier four houses, but he was from a tier two House.
Though, if he had a young master syndrome, he was dealing with someone who was more insufferable than he was. Anastasia was more than enough to deal with him.
"Uhh... Who are you?" she squinted, as if trying to remember where she had seen him before.
"..."
"W...what...?" He stammered, unsure how to respond to such a question.
I had to hold myself back from laughing, but I was sure my trembling shoulders betrayed me. Plus, the way Dion was also in the same situation wasn’t exactly helping.
I was sure it wasn’t like the case with House Stormbreaker. She most definitely knew who he was, after all he was in our class, and just like Alistair, he wasn’t exactly subtle.
But unlike Alistair’s sunny and good image, Calum was known for being demeaning. Especially to commoners.
"Are you sure you’re in our class?" she continued.
"Sia, he’s the one who’s points got deducted by instructor Black on the first day." Delilah offered, though there was a hint of a smile on her face.
"Is that so?" The red head frowned. "I’ve never seen him before."
"W... what’s this nonsense supposed to mean?!" he finally couldn’t take it any longer. "And you, what so funny?" He scowled at me.
I blinked.
"Who, Me?" I pointed at myself.
"Who else?" he scoffed. "You’re the only stain in this room."
It would seem that the demonstration I made earlier today didn’t get into his skull. Either that, or it was the inherent stupidity of arrogant young masters at work.
Mind you, I wasn’t the only one laughing. Everyone was channeling their own laughter in different ways. Alistair and Dion were literally shaking just like I was. Though, the girls had a better grasp of themselves. Hell even, Rose and Fabian, the two most stoic individuals in the room, had slight smiles on their faces.
Yet, I was the only one he singled out. He didn’t know, but he just made it up my ’Kick their asses’ list. Specifically the fourth place after Rose, Alistair and Anastasia.
You’d be thinking why I didn’t mention the white haired bitch. That’s simple, she wasn’t on that list, instead, she was on my ’must kill’ list.
Meanwhile the redhead turned to him.
"Okay Caleb...."
"Calum." he grimaced.
"That’s what I said." she argued. "I now officially name you one of my elites." she announced.
As soon as she said that, his name materialized on one of the empty chairs, specifically next to the white haired bitch.
"Take your seat please. I’d like to begin the briefing now." She said, which he promptly did.
"For the rest of you who don’t know, we’ve gotten the certain location of one of the enemy camps, and the general direction of the other.
Unfortunately, we are pinced between the two, as each of the two are estimated to be around six or so kilometers in the east and west.
But, fortunately for us, since they’re so far away, and we’re in between them, there is no way for them to work together against us." She said.
"Now, I have tried taking our flag from the top of the castle earlier, and even tried putting it into my spatial storage, but none of my attempts worked. My guess is that only a member of the opposing camps can move the flag.
Anyway, I have two plans on how to go about this. The first is rather simple." she paused.
"We split our army into two groups, one would head east, and the other would head west. But, on the account that one, or more of us would stay here next to the flag." She explained.
"Sadly," she continued. "There are only two individuals I think can successfully defend the flag apart from myself. Alistair with his ridiculous boost up, and Rose, with her ridiculous flames." She said catching the expressions of everyone.
Well, she wasn’t wrong, they were the only ones who could reliably protect it, or stop any sneak attempt to steal it. Though I wasn’t exactly sure about the Alistair part.
Assuming the flag could be moved, I would have been the best choice to protect the flag. I mean, I could just swap far away with it. But I could probably do that for the enemy flag can’t I?
"The rest of you I believe, your abilities aren’t optimal to protect the flag." She added.
"Then what’s the second plan?" Alistair asked.
Anastasia smirked.
"The second plan would be, instead of marching the dregs down, we would try to sneak in and steal their flags from right under their noses. Sadly, it has a similar problem as the first. Apart from myself, only Elsa and Damon have the skills/abilities to pull it off."
She looked at everyone, "So pick your poison."
"I think the second option is more viable." I spoke first. Just like I said before, if I took one of the enemy flag, or even both, I could just swap back and boom, we win. Seems simple enough, but that’ll depend on weather I could get to it in the first place, which I imagined was not going to be easy, judging from my earlier experience.
Delilah turned to me.
"Why do you say so? I say the first is faster and more efficient."
"I agree with that." Fabian added. "If we could stomp them and take their flags, what stops us from doing the same to get out flag back if they managed to steal it?"
"It isn’t efficient anymore then is it?" I turned to the brooding youth. "What’s the point of we have to go back again to retrieve our own flag, and what’s the guarantee that whoever steals it would go back to their camp?"
If it were me I definitely wouldn’t. I’d think, ’if I wasn’t winning, then no one else will.’
"Okay," Anastasia clapped. "We’ll take a vote. I won’t be voting, so If you favour the first option raise your hand."
Alistair, Fabian, Delilah, and the bitch all raised their hands. That was four against five, since Anastasia wasn’t voting. But just I was about to be glee, Calum looked at me with a challenging smirk, before slowly raising his hand.
Now the only ones with their hands down, were Dion, Sarah, Rose, and I. I was honestly surprised rose didn’t choose the first option with the way she loved to fight.
’This bastard.’ I inwardly cursed.
"Five against four, you lose." Delilah snickered.
I completely ignored her, which seemed to make her ’victory’ not so enjoyable.
"Since that has been decided, Alistair and Fabian would lead half the army down west, while Delilah, Rose, and Damon would lead the rest east. The rest of you are free to choose which group to join." Anastasia announced.
"What about you Sia, don’t tell me you’re planning on guarding the flag all by yourself." Delilah said.
"That’s exactly what I plan to do." The redhead confirmed.
"No, you should at least have someone else with you." Delilah replied firmly.
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine." Anastasia said. "That aside, everyone should exchange contacts in case of emergencies." she said bring out her graphic mirror.
After her, everyone else began doing the same. Everyone but me. Remember the time I said I was going to buy one? Well yeah, I completely forgot about that, even though I had the money.
Just as I was about to tell evey one I didn’t have one, a voice next to me sounded.
"Here." Rose dropped a slim dark case in front of me.
I blinked.
"... is that...?" I was at a loss for words, before I turned to her.
"Why do you have my graphic mirror?"
