The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!-Chapter 118: Prison Fight!
"Brother Du, if we have three hours... from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. That’s more than enough to deal with one person." Another man spoke up with confidence.
Du Wuchen’s gaze turned sharp instantly. "Don’t underestimate him."
The room fell silent again.
"This isn’t a street fight," he continued. "This job must be clean. If we mess up, our days inside the prison might get difficult."
He glanced toward the corridor.
"Although the Chief Jailer has cleared the path, so that most guards will focus on the outer perimeter." His voice grew colder. "If we make too much noise, everything’s over."
"After 5 a.m., the next shift is way too strict with their duties, and the chief jailer’s words don’t work on them."
"So remember, we can’t lose control of the situation or exceed the time frame."
The tension in the room thickened.
Du Wuchen’s gaze swept across his men.
"Prepare everything."
His tone left no room for doubt.
"We go in... with full force."

Inside his cell, Ye Chen’s eyes opened abruptly.
He didn’t move at first. His breathing remained even, his posture unchanged, as if he were still asleep. Only his gaze shifted slightly toward the iron bars, listening carefully.
The prison at this hour had a familiar rhythm—snoring, the occasional rustle of blankets, the distant echo of footsteps from patrolling guards.
But tonight, something was missing.
Ye Chen slowly sat up, his eyes narrowing.
’Where are the guards?’
That thought occurred in his mind.
At this hour, there should have been at least one patrol passing by. Even if they were careless, even if they skipped rounds, there would still be some presence.
But he felt... nothing.
The silence felt strange.
His instincts stirred.
Danger was approaching.
Without making a sound, Ye Chen slipped off the bed and moved to the side of the cell, his figure blending into the darker corner. Then, with a light push of his fingers, he lifted himself up, gripping a narrow crack in the ceiling. His body pressed flat against it, completely hidden from below.
Moments later, shadows appeared in the corridor.
Several figures moved along the wall, their steps controlled, and their breathing steady. One of them crouched down near the bars and peeked inside.
The cell was quiet.
Two figures lay on their beds, sleeping soundly.
The man gave a small nod.
From his pocket, he took out a key and carefully inserted it into the lock. A soft click followed. The door opened.
Two men slipped inside; their movements were light and cautious. The others remained outside, watching the corridor.
The light from outside barely reached the interior. The two men had to squint slightly as they adjusted their vision.
Lu Shixun lay on his side, breathing steadily, completely unaware.
On the other bed, Ye Chen lay motionless under the blanket.
One of the men leaned closer and whispered, "I’ll handle him. Watch the other one."
The second man nodded, his eyes fixed on Lu Shixun.
The first man pulled out a dagger. The blade reflected a faint glimmer in the dim light.
He stepped forward slowly.
Raised his hand and was about to stab, but paused.
Something felt off.
He frowned slightly and reached out, grabbing the edge of the blanket. With a quick motion, he pulled it away.
A pillow...?
His pupils shrank instantly.
At the same moment, a voice came from above—it was calm, low, and chilling.
"Looking for me?"
Both men looked up.
Ye Chen was clinging to the ceiling, supported only by his fingers hooked into a narrow crack. His body hung there effortlessly, his gaze looking down at them without a hint of urgency.
Before either of them could react, he released his grip.
His body dropped.
Mid-air, he twisted sharply.
Both legs snapped out at once.
The kicks landed cleanly on their faces.
The impact was precise and heavy.
Both men were sent crashing backwards, their bodies hitting the ground with a dull thud, unconscious before they could even make a sound.
The noise echoed down the corridor.
Outside, the remaining men stiffened.
Du Wuchen’s expression darkened slightly.
"Guess they failed," someone muttered.
Du Wuchen didn’t reply. He had already expected this possibility.
"Since he’s awake," he said calmly, Everyone, go together."
At his signal, the group moved in.
Inside the cell, Lu Shixun jolted awake, confusion and alarm written all over his face.
"Brother Chen—what’s going on?"
"They came," Ye Chen replied simply.
Lu Shixun’s gaze shifted toward the entrance as more figures stepped in. His expression changed immediately.
"Du Wuchen..." he muttered.
Ye Chen didn’t respond. His attention was already on the men surrounding him.
The space inside the cell was too tight.
Without hesitation, he stepped forward.
The first attacker rushed in.
Ye Chen met him head-on.
His fist shot forward.
The punch landed squarely on the man’s face, lifting him off the ground and sending him flying backwards. He crashed into the iron bars of the opposite cell with a loud clang before dropping heavily onto the floor.
The corridor fell silent for a brief moment.
Ye Chen stepped out of his cell.
His movements were unhurried.
He turned his head slightly, looking at the group in front of him.
"So you finally decided to show your faces," he said, a faint smile forming on his lips.
"If you’re here... I hope you’re ready."
His tone wasn’t loud, but it carried enough confidence to make a few of them hesitate.
Du Wuchen stood at the back, watching quietly. Then he gave a small gesture.
The group attacked together.
One swung a metal rod toward Ye Chen’s head.
Ye Chen stepped in instead of retreating. His hand shot up, catching the man’s wrist mid-swing. The force of the attack stopped instantly.
With a sharp twist, a crack echoed. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Before the man could react, Ye Chen grabbed his hair and slammed his face into the iron bars beside them. The sound rang through the corridor. The man dropped limp to the ground.
