Chapter 64: Chapter 64: A Path to the Demon Realm?

"Who are you!? Since when did the Celestial Destiny Empire have such a powerful figure? How can the Celestial Destiny Emperor sleep at night?"

The Necromancer Grand Commander, sliced open by a single sword, uttered a chilling voice amidst his writhing flesh. He couldn’t determine the exact strength of the person but being able to easily "kill" him once at their meeting must indicate a level no less than 650.

"I only have five minutes to clear the dungeon, no time to talk nonsense with you. Stay dead like the worm underground."

Lynn paused momentarily not due to the villain being fashionably talkative but to confirm whether the multi-life figure in front of him was indeed the dungeon boss.

The lack of system display for monster names was problematic, but luckily, from his dialogue and the reaction of the Necromancer guide, Lynn could infer his identity.

"Ignorant Saint Tier Warrior! How dare you underestimate the strong ones of the Undead Divine Hall! Witness my Undead Celestial Curtain!"

Although oblivious to the identity of the visitor, since they came to claim his life, the Necromancer Grand Commander certainly wouldn’t act like the programmed foolish villain that dies from verbosity.

In a life and death struggle, there’s no room for excess chatter. With the visible might of the enemy, it’s naturally right to unleash his full power immediately.

In the dim underground passage, the pitch-black Undead Celestial Curtain unfolded, countless undead creatures emerged from beneath the ground. Bone skeletons were the most numerous, followed by iron-skinned zombies, and since the practitioner was a Necromancer, the ensemble of undead creatures included high-level undead such as Black Knights and Death Knights.

A vast ocean of bones and an overwhelming tide of undead. If an ordinary Saint Tier strong warrior faced such a scene, even if not repelled on the spot, they would most likely furrow their brow.

But Lynn was not an ordinary Saint Tier strong warrior; he wasn’t even Saint Tier...

"Eyesore!"

Withdrawing the Silver Longsword, Lynn reached for a Flaming Long Saber. Since the Holy Light Attribute was temporarily repelled by his body, he couldn’t directly counter the Necromancer’s spells, but the surging flames were just as much a nemesis to the undead.

"I said I’d take your life. If you survive halfway through the Chapter, wouldn’t that be a slap in my face?"

As Lynn’s voice fell, he swept the fiery Long Saber upwards, and the blooming sea of bones was instantly reduced to ashes by the raging flames. Not only these low-level undead, but even Black Knights with a Level no less than 300 and Death Knights at Level 400 couldn’t last two seconds, being incinerated in a moment.

Even the encompassing Undead Celestial Curtain lost its pitch-black base color in the blaze, igniting into brilliant fireworks.

Simultaneously, the hidden Necromancer Grand Commander also couldn’t escape disaster. He and the Necromancer he sheltered could only manage a scream before vanishing in the overwhelming flames.

They were not qualified to ascend as undead Liches, so dead was dead, even less than the hard bones of the skeletons they summoned.

"This is an intermediate dungeon, challenging for Xiya and Catherine, but it’s not even boosting my experience..."

Having ended the dungeon boss with a single stroke, Lynn sheathed his blade but did not depart. Firstly, because half of the five-minute duration remained, and secondly, he hadn’t found the source of Demonic Qi connected to this underground nest.

It should be in the boss’s room.

Lynn followed the path of the so-called Grand Commander, soon finding a room blocked by a heavy stone door.

Such obstacles were negligible for Lynn. He didn’t even need a weapon; one kick shattered the stone door.

Behind the broken stone door was a living area. Lynn had no interest in searching for possible loot; he even burned the Grand Commander’s Spatial Ring. Hence, he paid no attention to the trash garbage dropped by these small-time bosses.

However, within this stone chamber, something did catch his eye, the wall was continually spewing Demonic Qi through a space rift.

Calling it a rift underestimated it slightly. Essentially, it was a very small spatial passage, seemingly only capable of accommodating one person to pass through, someone else taller might struggle.

"A passage connecting to the Demon Race Underground City?"

Lynn approached the spatial rift to observe closely. The Demonic Qi that once induced a negative state in him now felt quite comfortable, as if breathing oxygen when feeling short of breath.

A quick glance to move past?

Fear stems from the unknown, but courage arises from high skill.

Though unaware of where the spatial rift led, given Lynn’s strength, not even spatial turbulence could rip him apart. There was truly nothing to fear.

With this in mind, Lynn attempted to enter the space rift. The next moment, a sensation of spatial disarray came, and Lynn found himself in a desolate place.

Yes, deserted, yet seemingly having demonic smoke.

"Ahead is the secret tunnel discovered by the Gluttonous Demon King! It’s said to lead directly to the rear of the Divine Protection Continent!"

"The cowardly Demon King fears war and always tries to secretly close that tunnel. Fortunately, a demon reported to me, else in another day or two, she might have really succeeded!"

"Now follow the steps of me, Auruid, and with me, invade Divine Protection Continent, turn their lands into rivers of blood, then return!"

Not far away, it seemed like a demon was rallying his subordinates. It sounded like they planned to ambush the Celestial Destiny Empire using this narrow spatial tunnel.

Presently the frontline battle situation was semi-stagnant, and the Celestial Destiny Empire at the rear was entirely unguarded against the Demon Race.

Moreover, due to the detestable nature of the Celestial Destiny Emperor, all top-tier strong warriors of the Celestial Destiny Empire were not in the rear. The vast empire had no one guarding it.

If indeed a small group of Demon Race strong warriors suddenly attacked, they could truly stir up chaos within the empire, and by the time reinforcements arrive from the frontline, it might be too late. The Demon Race strong warriors could easily destroy the nearly closed space tunnel after retreating, completing a perfect raiding kill.

"For the great Destruction Demon God!"

"For the great Destruction Demon God!"

"Slaughter! Burn! Destroy everything!"

A chorus of shouts arose not far away, sounding quite formidable, but Lynn could discern their demon numbers were few, likely an elite squadron composed entirely of strong warriors without any grunts.

"Having dealt with the small boss, now comes the big boss, huh?"

Lynn silently drew his blade and walked toward the source of the sound.

Moments later...

"What demon?! No, it’s not a demon! Humans! Humans have attacked!"

The destruction squad of Abyssal Demons, averaging two meters tall with every member from the Abyssal Demon Race, collided head-on with Lynn who came wielding his saber.

The deputy Legion Commander at the forefront, Auruid, locked his gaze on him.

Damn humans, to discover this space rift before them, he must silence them, then hasten the ambush across, or else the opportunity to earn merit behind his Legion Commander would be lost if the Divine Protection Alliance Army reacts!
