The Demon Among The Knights-Chapter 22: The Chains of War
Luci stood firm, his crimson eyes glowing with restrained fury as he looked up at Vic. "Remove your tongue," he commanded, his voice sharp and filled with authority.
Vic growled, his grotesquely long tongue still coiled tightly around Luci’s body. With visible reluctance, he released his grip, dropping Luci to the ground with a heavy thud. The monstrous tongue slithered back into Vic’s mouth like a serpent retreating into its lair.
Luci straightened up, brushing himself off with an air of disdain. His movements were sharp, calculated, and deliberate, a clear indication of his irritation. He paused, inspecting his clothing and body, now covered in a slick layer of saliva. "Oh, darn it," he muttered, his nose wrinkling in disgust. "You got all your saliva on me!"
As he muttered these words, Luci began wiping himself off, flicking away the slimy residue with exaggerated motions of irritation. His once-pristine attire was now tarnished, and his expression darkened with a mix of disgust and frustration.
"Filthy," he muttered to himself, shaking his head.
Nearby, Mary, her small figure illuminated by the faint glow of her fluttering wings, watched him intently. Her curious gaze lingered on the captain as he cleaned himself, and after a moment of silence, she finally spoke. "So, Captain Luci, how did you end up here?"
Luci’s crimson gaze snapped to her, and his lips curled into a sneer. "That’s none of your business, insect," he spat, his tone dismissive and sharp.
Mary’s wings fluttered faster in response, her petite frame quivering with indignation. "Hey! I’m a fairy, not an insect!" she shot back, her voice rising in protest.
Luci rolled his eyes, his irritation evident as he turned his attention away from her. In his mind, the battlefield was a swirling vortex of chaos—shouts, clanging metal, and bursts of light and shadow surrounded them. His thoughts turned inward as he assessed the situation.
So the knights are here, Luci thought, his expression hardening. Even after the king explicitly ordered them not to come. Defiant fools.

The War Intensifies
The battlefield was a maelstrom of violence. The knights of the Holy Order clashed relentlessly with the demon hordes, their bright armor stained with soot and blood. Sword strikes and bursts of magical energy lit up the dark skies, and the earth beneath them trembled with each impact.
Amid the chaos, two figures floated high above the fray. Their presence was undeniable, their contrasting energies radiating powerfully into the surrounding area. One figure, Push, was surrounded by a glowing white aura, her light cutting through the darkness like a beacon. The other, Pull, exuded a shadowy black aura that seemed to consume the very air around him.
"Push," Pull said, his deep voice carrying over the cacophony of battle below, "we have to capture Luci. That’s what Lucifer commanded us to do."
Push’s golden eyes flicked to her brother, her expression one of determination. "I know," she replied, her voice steady. "Let’s go find him before he causes even more damage."
Without another word, the two of them began scanning the battlefield, their piercing gazes moving over the chaos below. Their search didn’t take long. Amidst the swirling mass of demons and knights, Luci’s fiery crimson hair stood out like a beacon, drawing their attention immediately.
"There," Push said, pointing down toward him.
As the two descended, their swift movements caught the attention of Brian, a knight clad in silver armor. His sharp eyes followed their trajectory, his grip on his sword tightening.
"Where are they going?" Brian muttered, his instincts warning him of danger. "I’d better follow them."

A Dangerous Encounter
Push and Pull landed with a resounding thud, their combined auras causing the ground to tremble beneath them. They stood opposite Luci, their towering forms radiating power.
Vic stepped forward protectively, his muscular frame bristling with tension. "Are these Heaven’s enemies?" he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Mary hovered closer to Luci, her glowing wings trembling slightly as she observed the two figures. "I can feel their aura," she said quietly, her voice tinged with awe and fear. "It’s intense... one with black and one with white aura. They’re unlike anything I’ve ever encountered."
Vic glanced at her, his expression skeptical. "You can sense auras?"
Mary nodded, her gaze never leaving Push and Pull. "Yes, but only when I’m close to someone. It’s... it’s strange, though. Captain Luci’s aura is different. I can’t feel anything from him. It’s like something is blocking me."
Luci smirked at her words, his sharp teeth glinting. "Perhaps it’s because I’m beyond your comprehension, little fairy."
Before Mary could respond, Pull stepped forward, his black aura swirling ominously around him. His deep voice broke through the tension. "So, Luci," he began, his tone dripping with malice, "are you ready to meet your end?"
Luci tilted his head slightly, his crimson eyes narrowing as his smirk widened. "How many times must I remind you weaklings?" he asked, his voice mocking and cold. "I’m unmatched in strength. Every time you’ve fought me, have you even managed to make me bleed? Have you left even the smallest scratch on my body?"
Push and Pull hesitated, their confidence wavering under the weight of his words.
"You tremble because you know the truth," Luci continued, his voice growing darker and more menacing. "You won’t leave this battlefield alive. I’ll kill both of you. Then, after I break these chains that bind me, I’ll kill Lucifer. And after that?" He paused, his smile twisting into something more sinister. "I’ll destroy the Five Hell Embolisms. I’ll kill everyone in Hell, every single one of them and every demon there I’ll destroy the hell realm and I’ll bring hell to hell I’ll make all of you pay and my name still remains luci and that’s all ." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
The air around him seemed to grow heavier as his aura surged, his voice filled with unyielding determination. "But first," he added with a wicked grin, "I think I’ll toy with my enemies. I smile now".
