The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop-Chapter 65 - 8: Heaven’s Chosen One
Just as thoughts reached this point, a flash of silver light flickered, and my Divine Sense was pushed out of the array.
The chief examiner was suddenly drenched in cold sweat, the Sect Leader now stood beside him, frowning, gazing into the mirror, his brows deeply furrowed, it seemed all was already known.
"Sect Leader, this... what can be done? This array is unlike before, once a mistake is made, even the Divine Soul might be scattered. I do not know who could have increased the difficulty a hundredfold!" The chief examiner’s heart sank, such a rare talent might fall here, what a pity indeed.
The Sect Leader stroked his beard and pointed to the mirror, "Destined by fate, neither you nor I can know, back then Chenfeng entered the array, he too was different from others."
The chief examiner’s expression relaxed slightly, yes, to become the second genius, one must not fail here; but it’s too hard, out of thousands of novice disciples, only one or two stand out, and half of those geniuses die in trials, only those who survive are true talents; in the thousand years of Canglang Sect, only one has emerged.
Tianmiao glanced at the nearby shaking-headed Ying Long and casually asked, "Was it you who changed the array’s difficulty when Ye Chenfeng last entered? Letting them all believe it’s destined by fate?"
Ying Long had been watching Jie Wenzhan’s performance, but upon hearing Tianmiao’s question, he almost broke out in cold sweat, hurriedly explaining, "They were foolish to think it’s destined by fate. Where would I dare to replace Heavenly Dao’s decisions?"
"I think the truth is you don’t want to do Heavenly Dao’s work," Kong Hou chimed in casually.
Ying Long glared at Kong Hou, "You’re such a troublemaker! Be careful! Blabbing such truths!"
"Boss, do you think this Jie Wenzhan will break the array?" Dong Xiao asked curiously. Dong Xiao completely ignored Kong Hou and Ying Long, as he felt engaging with them might lower his intelligence. So he chose not to engage, turning his attention back to the owner.
"Don’t know." Tianmiao lazily closed his eyes, rocked his chair leisurely, and started eating snacks.
Dong Xiao and Kong Hou exchanged a glance, it’s not a matter of not knowing, but rather the owner being too lazy to find out.
It seems, this Jie Wenzhan indeed is not the chosen one of this world.
Ying Long was instead staring at the mirror, eyes wide, and whispered in surprise, "Wow, is this curly-haired kid actually..."
Jie Wenzhan twirled the Judge’s Pen in his hand, gazing intently at the Star Constellation Map without moving his eyes.
The atmosphere outside the array was exceptionally tense, everyone was unconsciously silent, intently focused on the mirror—for the moment, even the sound of a pin drop could be heard.
Finally, half an hour passed.
Afterward, Jie Wenzhan slowly closed his eyes, displaying a slight smile on his handsome face, that carefree demeanor surfaced once more.
He performed an action that made everyone drop their jaws.
Leaning back, slowly, he stood on one hand, looking at the Star Constellation Map upside down, his left hand holding the Judge’s Pen pointed several times in the air, each time it paused, a constellation followed by moving—within the massive star river, the seemingly chaotic star palace moved in an orderly fashion under that Judge’s Pen.
Following this, Jie Wenzhan righted himself, watched the half-adjusted star palace with his hands behind his back—as if following the ordinary constellation arrangement, it would be too simple, a straightforward open trap.
He brought together two fingers pointing towards the center of his forehead, a red line of Divine Sense followed the fingertips jumping out, his footsteps moved in twists and turns, as if stepping among the stars above.
