"Let’s talk after we get home with the stuff." Xu Yuxi drove out of the neighborhood towards the largest mall in the city.

At the mall, Xu Yuxi dragged Zhou Shiqiu upstairs to buy clothes first. They bought various jackets and down coats, as well as thermal tops and pants.

Zhou Shiqiu asked puzzled, "Why are you buying thermal tops and pants? In past winters, you always refused to wear them, being frozen to the point of wailing. I’d always ask, ’A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step, can you just wear thermals?’ and you said no."

"Oh well, people change over time." Xu Yuxi laughed it off, then discussed with the store clerk if they could get the mall to deliver everything she bought. The clerk said it was possible.

Under the puzzled gaze of Zhou Shiqiu, Xu Yuxi bought quite a few winter clothes, as well as sports outfits and sneakers.

After buying clothes and shoes, the two went to the top floor to eat.

Zhou Shiqiu was quite puzzled, as roast duck doesn’t taste good once it’s cold. Even reheating it never manages to restore its original taste. Today, Xu Yuxi’s behavior seemed a bit abnormal no matter how she looked at it. But remembering Xu Yuxi’s previous call asking her to come over and stay for a few days, she understood. Yuxi must be feeling really down. Oh well, she’d accompany her no matter what she wanted to do.

The two then went to the supermarket and bought a huge pile of ingredients, carrying the big and small bags to the underground parking spot.
