The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss-Chapter 291: Irresistible Proposal
Chapter 291: Irresistible Proposal
"Y’all can have a seat over there," I say, pointing to a spot that has only one chair. The smaller girl sits there while the taller one stands in front of me.
"Now, could you explain what you’re gonna give me?" I ask, interested.
"Okay, let me provide some context. We, the Stars, believe that you will become someone with great influence in the future. Right now, only the Primordial Goddess supports us, the Stars, to live here in this universe."
"The Abyss Goddess is neutral, the Mermaids Goddess is also neutral, the Elf Goddess is neutral, and the Nature Goddess is neutral as well. As for the other goddesses who are still alive, they don’t like us, considering us ’invaders,’ even though we don’t do anything."
"Basically, no one approves of our existence except the Primordial Goddess. Being neutral doesn’t mean they’ll favor us, and that’s bad for us. That’s why we’re turning to you, who is also a goddess."
"We’d like you to support our existence in this universe. Unfortunately, we can’t help you fight or anything like that, but there are things I can offer."
"We, the Stars, are very skilled in distortion, manipulation, and spatial, dimensional, and temporal control. This means we’re very good at changing locations or invading other places."
"That’s how we entered this dimension you’re in. Due to the rules between the goddesses, if I appeared in the normal world, we could incur a great enmity."
"However, we saw that you left the world and went to your own dimension, and this was a unique chance for us to talk to you without breaking any rules."
’So that’s how they invaded this place.’ It’s truly interesting, but from what I understand, being allied with them wouldn’t really help me beyond providing a "vehicle" for me to move around.
It’s undeniably useful, but I believe I don’t need it because in the future, standard teleportation will do everything I need without having to go through the trouble of seeking them out.
"Demon King Pandora, I see you’re weighing the pros and cons, but I haven’t finished explaining yet. Could you hear me out before deciding?" She says, seeing that I’m assessing their value.
"...Of course." For now, it doesn’t seem worth it to accept any agreement, so staying neutral is the best thing. But let’s see what else she has to offer.
"We went to your mother in the Abyss to ask if there was anything we could do in exchange for your support, and she gave me 3 options," she says, holding up 3 fingers.
"First, if we let you use our bodies for sexual purposes, you might accept the agreement, as it’s guaranteed that you have a great libido and our bodies could please you."
"However, we believe that alone would still not be acceptable to you, as you already have beings that fulfill that role infinitely better, like your wife and the Mermaids Goddess." She lowers one finger.
"The second option was to offer my loyalty to you and become a servant, because you always protect what is yours. But this option is infeasible. We, the Stars, do not obey other beings and cannot simply bow down and obey everything that is asked of us."
"We are a 100% neutral existence, meaning we don’t get involved in anything beyond what ensures our safety and self-preservation."
"And well, you’ll be trying to fight other goddesses, and I really don’t want to get involved in that at all, as it would be a threat to my existence," she says, lowering another finger.
"And so the only option left is the third one. The Abyss Goddess said that if we were able to send you to the world where the heroes came from for a time, you might accept an agreement."
"We don’t know what good you could get from that, but if you really accept to favor our existence, we can send you to that place."
"..." When she says this, 100% of my focus goes to her as the possibilities swirl in my mind.
"You said... send me to the world where the heroes came from?" I ask to be absolutely certain.
"Yes, we are very skilled at moving through different dimensions or universes. We can temporarily send you to the heroes’ world while slowing the flow of time."
"That way, we believe you can spend 1 month in the heroes’ world while only 5 minutes have passed here."
"And no one will even notice that you disappeared and came back right away. We’re very good at hiding traces, and probably only the Primordial Goddess will know we did this."
"The only thing that will know you temporarily changed locations is the system that will go with you." When the Star says this, a diabolical smile spreads across my face.
"Alright, we have a deal. You have my full support. In fact, I adore Amiya, she’s a fun girl. Of course, I agree to your continued existence in this universe," I say with a huge smile.
I know why my mother gave them those 3 options, it was to divert their focus from what would really interest me in the heroes’ world. The 3 options, when weighed on a "scale," are equivalent in importance.
However, it turns out that in terms of something personal for me, going to the heroes’ world is worth more than options 1 and 2 combined.
I had even given up on the option of killing the heroes’ parents, as that was an unrealistic option for me since they’re who knows where. But I’d love to kill them too. In the end, the ’heroes’’ parents always protected them from the horrible crimes they committed.
They used their money to defend their children and even supported them in everything they did, so they are the root of the problem, while the heroes are the problem. Who would have thought I’d have the chance for such complete revenge.
I’m going to love going back to Japan just to mess with those idiots’ parents. In fact, it’ll be even more fun to trap their souls in a pocket dimension and bring them here just to torture them along with the heroes.
"Thank you, Demon King Pandora. We appreciate that you support our existence," the Star bows slightly to me.
"You can just call me Pandora. You deserve it for offering me such a delicious gift," I say with a huge smile. I’ll be able to spend 1 month in Japan, so I’ll have plenty of time to do as I please.
While here, only a few minutes will pass, so I can enjoy my time calmly and without worries.
"But dear Star, what about the god or goddess who rules that world?" I ask an important question. If goddesses exist in this world, nothing prevents there from being one in Japan or even several.
"We’ve done some prior research on that specifically to clear up your doubts. First, the world the heroes came from is weak. There is no mana, no magic, and therefore any ’strong’ being in that place is weak by our standards."
"This naturally means the god who controls that world is weak. In fact, that god is weaker than you are currently, so if they try to cause you problems, you could kill them."
"Additionally, that world has only one race, and it’s so weak that only a single god takes care of everything. So you don’t need to worry. Even if you destroy that world, there won’t be any problems."
"But of course, the mere fact that a being like you goes to that world will drastically alter the entire planet. For example, you emanate natural magic."
"So that world will gain part of your mana, meaning the humans there will awaken magic thanks to you," the Star explains calmly, making it clear that there is no threat to my life.
"Perfect, then. I’ll just cause some damage to have fun. Can you send me there now?" I ask, barely containing my excitement.
"Anytime you’re ready. However, you’ll return automatically, so pay close attention to the time, as it will only be 1 month. And this is very costly for us Stars, so we won’t be able to make this trip again for a few millennia," she says seriously.
"Wonderful! It’s okay, I just need 1 month and nothing more. So, just wait a few minutes. I’ll go tell Delphina that I’ll be disappearing for a bit, and I’ll also grab one of the spare dresses I have," I say as I quickly walk to the door.
"We’re being honest with you, Pandora, so don’t worry. The Stars always fulfill our part of the agreement. It’s part of our existence to always keep our word," they say before I leave.
"I know, but it doesn’t hurt to be cautious. If you’re lying and I don’t come back, Delphina will make sure to kill you," I say with a little smile.
"We understand your concern, Pandora, and we accept your distrust. It’s only natural. So do what you think is best," they say without concern. I sincerely trust their words.
Their confidence and composure, even knowing that Delphina can kill them, shows that they clearly aren’t worried about it, precisely because they’re telling the truth.
Those who don’t lie have nothing to fear. Since they’re being honest, they know Delphina won’t have any reason to kill them.
I quickly leave to inform Delphina and make it clear that if I don’t reappear here within 2 hours, she should kill the Stars and try to find a way to retrieve me.
The Stars made it clear they’ll use some kind of space-dimensional magic to move me, while using temporal magic to adjust the flow of time so I’ll have 1 month there while only a few minutes pass here.
So I want Delphina watching everything closely and taking care of this. Honestly, this is an opportunity I wouldn’t let slip away, a chance for complete revenge.
The parents must also pay for the mistakes of their children. It will be great to kill and torture the parents of those vermin who made my life as a human a living hell.
"Thank you for the gift, mother," I murmur with gratitude for the Abyss Goddess being so clever in guiding the Stars with her words and giving me something so wonderful.
An agreement like ours was something simple and very good for me. And all they want is that when I’m strong, I approve of them continuing where they are. In other words, as long as they don’t interfere with me, I’ll continue to support their continued existence.
I’ve already understood that they only want to have a shield beyond the Primordial Goddess to defend them if necessary against other goddesses.
And I’m fully willing to be that shield, as long as they don’t do anything against me or against those I care about, like my mother and Delphina.
