The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System-Chapter 562 - What makes you think you have that much time?
Even at the border of the divine kingdom of Auranys, hundreds of kilometers from the capital, magnitude 7 earthquakes spread, sinking the world beneath the skies.
In the distant kingdom of Valemont, preachers spoke of the end of the world as the skies turned red, the same phenomenon being observed across the immortal sky.
There was not a single expert who was not uneasy, feeling those powerful waves of energy.
It was as if hundreds- no, thousands of experts from the astral realm were facing each other at the same time, the world about to shatter.
At the center of all that destruction, two figures faced each other with their blades locked together, steel exploding into sparks and blood as each tried to force the other back.
"These flames..." The Heavenly Demon’s eyes widened, a tremor spreading through his body as he retreated a single inch.
The fire surrounding Qingyi’s blade was unlike anything he had ever seen in his life, a deep gray, so hot that it not only seemed, but was capable of devouring everything.
Although he had never seen it before, the Heavenly Demon recognized it very well.
He was, after all, a being born of primordial chaos, birthed in a profane dance, without mother or father.
Chaos was his origin, and he knew it well; those were the flames of primordial chaos.
Something he had always dreamed of, but never imagined he could attain.
"How do you have them? ANSWER ME!" The Heavenly Demon roared, his voice crazed.
He lost control of his energy for a moment and his left leg was torn off by a burst of Qi and Mana, but he didn’t care.
He could feel the flames of primordial chaos begin to engulf his own sword, spreading through the blood Qi and Mana, devouring everything they touched.
It was a terrifying power, one he wanted for himself as much as he wanted the Aether.
After all, the flames of primordial chaos were not far below the Aether in level, and the primordial chaos itself was even older than the creator, existing before everything and everyone.
"You don’t deserve to know." Qingyi replied coldly, in a position not much better than that of his enemy.
The pressure had collapsed his organs, and his body was covered in terrible cuts, forcing him to fight just to keep his guts inside him.
With everything focused on that clash, he had had no time to defend himself.
"Then I’ll rip it out of you by force! I’ll make you dream of a world where you were never born, a world where you never knew the despair of knowing me!"
The Heavenly Demon’s roars became even more frenzied, his power quickly spiraling out of control.
Below them, the entire world seemed to open up, as if the very tectonic plates of that region had collapsed under the pressure, the primordial laws unable to keep the world stable.
"You talk too much!" Qingyi returned the roar, finally calling upon his bloodline projection.
The roar of that black-scaled beast and the weight of the sharp claws of its massive body sinking into the molten rock caused as much damage to the Heavenly Demon as the flames of primordial chaos themselves.
Qingyi felt the enemy’s sword tremble, and a big smile spread across his face.
"Wait for me in the heavenly skies, I’ll kill you as many times as necessary, pig!" Qingyi pressed on, pushing out the last drops of strength he had left.
And then, finally, he heard a sound.
It was the classic clink of steel being broken, shattering like glass, fragments of the blood blade being thrown into the air.
The Heavenly Demon just watched in shock as Qingyi’s sword struck his chest, the primordial chaos flames finally reaching him.
For the first time, his face showed something other than anger, contempt, and blind confidence.
Despair.
There was a reason why experts generally only used avatar techniques when they needed to resolve something in the lower heavens.
The fragments of their souls sent into these avatars could be destroyed, causing terrible damage to the main soul.
Of course, in a place like the immortal heaven, no one would be able to destroy their souls, so they didn’t need to worry too much.
Unfortunately for the Heavenly Demon, what surrounded his body at that very moment were the primordial chaos flames.
They didn’t care about levels of power or existence. They consumed everything that lived, and what didn’t live as well.
When the two separated, an explosion followed, all the energy accumulated between them being thrown in all directions.
The clouds of blood that covered the skies parted, pushed back thousands of kilometers, revealing a beautiful azure sky.
The molten rock began to cool rapidly as a serene and light rain fell from the sky, despite the absence of clouds.
The body of the Heavenly Demon, destroyed and consumed by gray flames, rested on the molten rocks, his eyes fixed on Qingyi.
"Where is your arrogance now...?" Qingyi asked, preventing the blood from rising to his throat as he did his best to contain the flames of primordial chaos.
Causing terrible damage to the Heavenly Demon’s main body was good, but that would prevent him from knowing what had happened there, wouldn’t it?
Qingyi wanted him to remember very well the man who would soon kill him.
"F-fuck you!" The Heavenly Demon roared, being silenced by Qingyi’s boot on his face, breaking a few teeth.
The beautiful young man raised the Heaven-defying Thunder Sword, ready to end it all right there.
But in the end, he stopped. He lowered his sword and waited until a figure appeared beside him.
Pale skin, purple eyes, black hair tied in a perfect ponytail.
Ruxue.
"Oh... have you come to gaze upon me one last time? Hahahaha!" The Heavenly Demon laughed before stopping, coughing up large mouthfuls of blood.
"It won’t be long before I get that woman’s body back... her soul is well preserved, don’t worry, I’ll,"
Ruxue didn’t let him finish.
Taking the Heaven-Defying Thunder Sword from Qingyi’s hands, she buried it in the Heavenly Demon’s chest.
There were tears of rage on her beautiful face as she moved her lightning Qi, using it to destroy the enemy’s body.
"What makes you think you have that much time?" She growled, watching the Heavenly Demon’s soul leave the body and explode toward the heavens.
It was over, at least for now, it was over.
