The Commander's Useless Wife Is Actually a Hidden Boss!-Chapter 4 - 00 Imperial Moon
Chapter 4: Chapter 004 Imperial Moon
In the communications room, a special military channel was opened, revealing the figure of a tall and straight man. The young face was handsome and cool, the skin was smooth as jade, and his dark green eyes were so deep they were almost irresistible.
The purely black military uniform with golden patterns was both hard and radiant. Above the chest was the emblematic Golden Star Pattern of the Galaxy Empire, an epitome of intricate grandeur.
The shoulder ranks displayed a six-pointed star rank insignia adorned with majestic golden thorn flowers, and the cufflinks, and collar buttons all showcased the noble elegance of an Imperial Soldier.
Out of the three major political entities in the universe, the Galaxy Empire's military uniform was the best at blending splendor with a stern, steely resolve.
"Mr. Major General," the butler bowed respectfully in greeting.
Fu Xing raised his hand and returned the gesture, his movements smooth and graceful.
"Has Lin Fu arrived?"
"Yes, Lady arrived this afternoon at the Star Port. The Second Young Master and Young Miss went to meet her in person following your instructions. The Old Lady has yet to return from the fief."
Fu Xing turned and sat in the high-backed chair behind him, propping his cheek with one hand, a trace of helplessness in his brow.
"Mother still cannot accept it."
"No one would support the Old Lady. The Purple Wish Token is far more important than she imagines."
"Indeed!" Fu Xing's thin lips curved into a faint smile, "Using a Purple Wish Token in exchange for my marriage is an excellent deal for the family."
The elderly butler bowed respectfully and kept silent at the right moment.
"The purpose behind the Purple Wish Token's appearance can't be so simple. There must be something unknown to us, and we must investigate thoroughly."
Fu Xing suddenly stood up, and even through the screen, the butler could feel the strong pressure that inadvertently radiated from his movements.
"The power and status of the Fu Family mean that the Purple Wish Token can achieve anything," the butler said proudly.
Fu Xing shook his head, "No, think about it, what wishes could even the Purple Wish Token not fulfill?"
The butler was startled, then arrogantly replied, "Only matters involving the Royal Family would the Fu Family refuse." After speaking, he paused, his expression turning to one of mild astonishment.
Fu Xing snorted coldly, "What if it really does involve the Royal Family?"

"But... surely Lady has no connection with the Royal Family." The butler trusted his own judgment.
"Mr. Major General, regardless of whether there's a deeper conspiracy, Miss Lin Fu is beautiful and kind, making her a fine marriage prospect. She has sworn that as long as she is your wife, she will love you, protect you, and support you."
Fu Xing was taken aback, pausing for a long while before asking, "Did she really say that?"
"Yes, I have the recording."
The butler quickly transmitted a piece of data.

The next day, after finishing breakfast, Lin Fu sat at her desk, staring blankly at the three documents in front of her.
"The First Military Command College of the Empire is the highest military academy in the Galaxy Empire, gathering top talents from one hundred and sixty-three main star systems. The talents trained here are spread throughout the Cosmic Fleet and land forces. Among them, the Command Department is the most formidable, and Mr. Major General is an alumnus," explained the butler as he finished introducing the first document, then, pointing to the second, "The Imperial Royal Starship Academy is the preferred choice for the Nobles, the Second Young Master attended it, and Princess Therese of the Royal Family is currently an honor student there."
"Lastly, there is the Albert Officer Academy, which specializes in cultivating technical talent and was founded by Marshal Albert Defo, one of the most distinguished figures in the history of the Empire."
After the butler finished the introduction, he looked at Lin Fu with a smile.
Lin Fu stared at the three recruitment brochures in front of her, her hands trembling with excitement.
This was the dream of her former life!
"So, Lady, which academy are you applying to?"
True to the pragmatic thoughts of the common folk, Lin Fu placed her hand on the application for the Albert Officer Academy.
"I probably won't be able to get into the first two, given my level." Because she had prepared herself mentally, she had looked into it on the way there.
A flash of surprise crossed the butler's eyes, but it quickly turned into a suitable smile as he praised, "Lady has good taste, the gunnery major and the Marine Corps at the Albert Officer Academy are very formidable."
"I think so too."
"Then I will take Lady's information and help you register. The examination is divided into a cultural written test and a talent assessment. The Albert Officer Academy's exam difficulty is relatively lower, and you have twenty days to prepare."
After saying this, the butler bowed and took his leave.

Capital Star, Artificial Sea—
The Mecklenburg Royal Family's residence was situated here, grand and solemn, the legendary palace complex monopolizing the most beautiful view of the Artificial Sea.
The palace where the Royal Family members lived was called the Red Maple Golden Dew Palace, named for the many precious maple trees preserved from the Ancient Earth Era.
"Crash!" The sound of breaking teacups and vases shattered the picturesque scene.
The court maids each froze like cicadas in winter.
A beautiful princess with lovely rose-pink long hair had lost her composure and could no longer maintain her perfect etiquette.
Not until her personal lady-in-waiting, Nora, came over, dismissed the maids, did the Princess realize she had been out of line.
"Your Highness, you are to be Empress someday, you cannot lose your temper over a trivial matter."
"I'm sorry!" Princess Theresa lowered her slender and delicate neck, a tear rolling down from the corner of her eye, and said with sorrow, "How could Major General Fu Xing humiliate me like this? I had already promised him that once I ascended the Imperial Throne, I would share the imperial authority with him, but he..."
"You should talk to Major General Fu Xing again. Politics is no child's play."
Lady Nora said calmly, "Major General Fu Xing is your most powerful support in ascending the Imperial Throne. Whether he is marrying another woman or not, you must not give up. The failed example from ten years ago is right before us."
But Princess Theresa simply couldn't contain the anger in her heart. She was the Imperial Moon, the most noble princess, and a once-in-a-century talent at the Royal Starship Academy. She couldn't understand what was wrong with herself.
He had rejected her and chosen a country bumpkin from a remote star system, a worthless commoner.
"Even if he had chosen Celia, who opposes me, it would have been better than his choice of a lowly commoner."
"Princess, you need to calm down and think carefully about how to deal with that commoner girl."
"You're right." Theresa took a deep breath, suppressed the fury and unwillingness in her heart, and returned to her noble and elegant princess demeanor, "Have you found out why the Military Department and the Royal Family want to announce the engagement publicly?"
It wasn't necessary for a Duke to announce a marriage.
Given Major General Fu Xing's low-profile disposition, he would definitely not be so ostentatious.
"It was the Second Prince's people who took advantage of Major General Fu Xing's absence while quelling a rebellion and facilitated it behind his back. They're not targeting Major General Fu Xing, but you. It is not excluded, however, that the Major General might be going with the flow."
In an instant, Theresa's expression turned unsightly.
"In fact, there is a way to deal with that commoner girl." A trace of malice flashed in the lady-in-waiting's eyes.
Princess Theresa's heart stirred, and she revealed a purely beautiful smile, not asking how to deal with her or even mentioning her name, but instead said lightly, "Very well, I'll leave it to you."
The lady-in-waiting bowed respectfully, "Yes."
Her noble Highness just needed to regain her composure to return to being the sweetest and purest angel. All the dirty and bad things, she didn't need to know; she didn't even need to give the order, and naturally, someone would obediently take care of it for her.
