The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 366 - 363: Someone Calls Her Name
At the mention of Mr. Brooke, the maid immediately laughed, "Of course."
She then thoughtfully closed the door, leaving them alone.
Elliana Lyle heard it too; this woman was sent by the old man Brooke, and she instantly lost any goodwill, even though she had just draped clothing over her.
This kind of "kindness," she was unwilling to accept no matter what.
"Please leave, thank you."
She said as needed in the domestic language.
The woman was startled, then asked, "Do you speak English? I’m from the Kingdom of H."
After saying that, she walked over and sat down by the bed.
This woman was truly beautiful, with a face both innocent and charming, and her smile was very appealing, exuding a certain affinity.
But upon hearing she was not a domestic person, Elliana immediately lost all interest, turned away, and said in English, "Leave, thank you."
She planned to end it all right here. There was a ceramic vase by the bed; she could shatter it and use the shards to end her life.
Unexpectedly, even in this life, things were ending in tragedy.
Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but tear up. What about her Norman Bennett? He was still out there looking for her, waiting for her to come home.
They never... had a wedding.
"Don’t cry; there are many wealthy people on the island. We will make a lot of money, and by then, we can have a better life. You can use the money to do all the things you want, just like me; I can give my father a healthy heart," the woman said, looking forward to the future with a smile in her eyes.
For a moment, she didn’t know what to say. After holding back for a while, she said, "I don’t want money."
"Oh?" The woman was a bit stunned, then asked, "Then why are you here?"
"I was kidnapped," she replied.
The woman nodded thoughtfully, then smiled and said, "It’s okay. Mr. Brooke likes you a lot. You can rely on Mr. Brooke; you don’t have to entertain guests."
Hearing this, she suddenly threw a pillow over and angrily said, "Get out!"
The woman caught the pillow she threw and laughed, "Don’t be angry. Do you want to go home? As long as you make Mr. Brooke happy, I believe Mr. Brooke will let you go home."
"Get out!"
"Alright, alright, don’t be mad, but I can’t leave until I’ve stayed for an hour," the woman said.
Elliana: "..."
During this hour, the woman talked to her about the others,
some of whom were voluntary, while some were like her.
Among them were two from XRB, one from the Kingdom of H, and two local women.
Altogether, there were five people.
She didn’t want to hear any of this; all she wanted now was silence.
Seeing this, the woman said, "Don’t be like this; being alive is always good. My dad always said, as long as you’re alive, there’s hope."
Alive, hope.
These words pierced her heart. She couldn’t help but place her hand on her abdomen. Could she really survive well?
Once on the island, she might see Nancy and Sasha, or maybe no one at all; she might even die.
The old man Brooke had promised her three days, but she didn’t believe for a second that he would keep his word.
But as the woman from Kingdom H had said, alive, hope.
She wanted to go home, back to him, back into his arms.
One night passed.
As the morning sunlight shone down, the boat had docked. As she got off the boat, she saw a small island full of green trees, but entering the dense forest, it suddenly opened up.
An edifice like a palace, so large it was overwhelming, much like an ancient European palace.
There were many people here; polite male attendants welcomed them.
The old man Brooke handed her over to an attendant and gave a lot of instructions, repeatedly emphasizing that she was a guest, finally saying, "Just arrange for her to be in the angel’s room."
The attendant then led her, dazed from the boat ride, into this palace that sent chills down one’s spine.
They took the elevator to the eighth-floor top level; exiting the elevator, she saw a long corridor, with doors numbered on each side.
The armed attendant opened a door for her, then said, "You can rest now, honorable guest."
Because she was specifically designated as a "guest" by the old man Brooke, the attendant was also respectful toward her.
After sending her into the room, the attendant closed the door and left.
This room had a balcony facing the sea; she hesitated at the door for a long time before she staggered over step by step.
Looking at the breathtaking yet heart-wrenching view outside, she felt a mix of emotions.
"Elliana!"
At this moment, a familiar voice called her name.
