The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 334 - 331: Arrival
Luna got through the call and quickly called out to the other end of the phone, "Hey, brother~ What are you doing?"
Seeing this, Uncle Leopard was a bit helpless and had no choice but to turn on the speaker.
"Luna, I’m at the airport. Miss Lyle is coming over, and I’m waiting to pick her up," Owen Sutton’s voice was somewhat gentle, as if he was speaking to a child.
Upon hearing this, Luna could see that Uncle Leopard’s expression changed, knowing she wasn’t lying to him.
She immediately said, "See, I wasn’t lying to you, right?"
Uncle Leopard ignored her and just spoke to the other end of the phone, "Brother Owen, I’m putting Luna on a flight back to Tokyo today, please pick her up then."
"Mm, okay." Owen Sutton’s voice turned a lot colder, reverting to his usual way of speaking.
It’s only with his own sister that he would soften his tone.
After hanging up, Luna brought her bound hands up to him, "Uncle Leopard, could you untie me first?"
Uncle Leopard turned his head away, not intending to respond to her, so she could only plead, "But it really hurts like this."
...
―――Nightfall.
PM.
Luna and Elliana Lyle’s planes arrived almost simultaneously, just ten minutes apart.
This was Elliana’s first time coming so far, and to be honest, it wasn’t quite as she imagined, but also not too different.
When sitting in the car passing the streets, the signs lit outside didn’t have characters she recognized, though occasionally, she could guess one or two.
Luna kept chattering about what food was good around there, but she had no interest whatsoever.
Sitting alone on a plane for so long, she was already too exhausted to even care, and all she wanted was a glass of plain water and then to sleep.
This discomfort, however, did alleviate her awkwardness with Norman Bennett.
Her phone kept buzzing; she knew it was Norman texting her, as Owen had already spoken with him on the phone.
But she didn’t want to look, not knowing whether her body lacked the energy to pick up the phone or if it was her heart.
"So, what do you feel like eating?" Luna finally finished introducing the local delicacies.
She shook her head lazily and said, "Luna, I don’t have an appetite, I just want to sleep."
At this point, Luna slapped her forehead, almost forgetting that Elliana gets very airsick, and quickly said, "Then when we get back, have a bowl of congee and then sleep. I’ll take you out for a walk tomorrow."
"Mm." Elliana responded with just a soft sound, leaning her head against the seatback, eyes tightly closed with no further action.
When they got to the villa, Elliana was surprised to find many men in suits inside and out.
Each had something tucked at their waist.
This was a scene she had only seen in movies before, inevitably making her feel a bit uneasy.
"So, how’s my place? Not bad, right?" Luna walked in front of her with a cheeky grin, waiting for her praise.
It was indeed not bad, the decoration style reminded her of the Bennett Family’s old house.
Very modern, with a subtle elegance, probably because of the moon-white color scheme and the small bamboo forest in the courtyard.
"Luna, you stay home with Miss Lyle, I’ve got to go out for a bit." After saying that, Owen went to reach for Luna’s head, but she anticipated it and dodged.
Luna disdainfully said, "Got it, you go ahead, I won’t see you off."
With that, she unhesitatingly pulled her towards the house.
"Welcome home, Miss." The maids inside bowed and spoke, not a word of which Elliana understood.
