The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 323 - 320: I Love You
"Okay."
Elliana Lyle responded lightly, a forced smile tugging at her lips, her eyes filled with unhidden disappointment.
What she instinctively concealed, she no longer felt the need to in his embrace.
"Good girl." He gently picked her up, sitting her on his lap, and finally embraced her from behind.
His lips brushed softly against her ear, then tilted her chin up to kiss her deeply.
Although she was somewhat angry, she knew he truly loved her, so even though she knew he was hiding things from her, she couldn’t be too mad.
Besides, wasn’t she the same way?
"Norman Bennett~ Say you love me." In a moment of passion, she tilted her face upwards, murmuring with a whimper, her words slightly slurred.
The man gradually released her, whispering softly in her ear, "I love you."
Those simple three words carried all his love and deep passion; the girl in his arms was his lifelong pursuit.
She was his belonging.
She was the indelible light in his life.
Elliana turned around, pressing the man down, and finally lay on top of him, resting her head on his chest.
Seeing her eyes closed, he reached out, running his fingers through her hair, and asked, "Are you sleepy?"
"Mm-hmm~" She replied softly, gradually falling silent.
By now, it was already 11 PM; she was indeed sleepy, very sleepy, just wanting to fall asleep like this.
"Sleep." He lightly patted the little girl’s back, pulling the blanket up to cover her entirely.
It was autumn, and the nights were chilly.
...
The next day.
At dawn, when Elliana woke up, it was already past 7 AM, and the man beside her was long gone, but rather...
Her neck hurt strangely!
Thinking she must have slept wrong, she reached from under the blanket to the bedside table to grab her phone, pulled the charger off with one hand and brought it back into the blanket.
Tiana Harris had already sent her a good morning message.
Last night, the police from the town had already met up with Tiana, and with the help of Norman Bennett’s people and South City’s private hospital personnel, escorted Tiana and her grandmother to South City.
Tiana also followed her instructions obediently, staying by her grandmother’s side in the hospital room, eating meals delivered by the protectors.
This string of messages crammed like a short essay seemed to seek praise, making for a comforted read.
At least Tiana understood her intentions and readily followed the arrangements.
Besides, there were calls from Shawn Lyle, and she noticed there were many missed calls, but her phone was on silent mode.
She figured Norman Bennett had turned it on silent for her.
Now, she didn’t bother with Shawn Lyle, nor did she want to engage with him.
The biggest surprise was that he actually harbored ill intentions towards Tiana, and Norman told her that he would handle it, telling her not to worry.
She obediently complied, knowing she’d be slower than Norman in dealing with it anyway.
Strangely, Shawn Lyle’s missed calls stopped after 4 AM; she checked and hadn’t blocked him.
With Shawn Lyle’s temper, it was unlikely he’d give up so easily.
Could it be he found another direction?
Shawn Lyle, being a businessman, knew many people, but none capable of offering such quick financial help.
Just then, a news notification popped up, Shawn Lyle’s name starkly highlighted, catching her attention.
