"What exactly are you going to steal?" Kaka asked with a smile.

"The Heart of the Sea," Wushuang replied lightly. Kaka pursed his lips. *The Heart of the Sea?* Why would Wushuang suddenly be interested in that ominous heart-shaped gem?

The Heart of the Sea was a beautiful, spiritual piece of jewelry designed in the last century by a famous Italian designer for an Italian princess. The jewelry had been exhibited in Berlin, the first time the world had seen it. It was an aquamarine gem that seemed to contain an unknown power, glistening and dazzling. Something appeared to be subtly moving within the stone’s texture.

Three princesses had worn the jewelry. The first, an Italian princess, died mysteriously within a month of wearing it, the cause of death unknown. The second, also an Italian princess, died along with her child during childbirth less than a year after wearing it. The third was a British princess who, similarly, was decapitated within a month. After that, no royalty dared to wear the jewelry.

While the jewelry was beautiful and vibrant, it also carried an inexplicable evil aura.

Later, the British royal family auctioned the jewelry. It was purchased by a collector in the last century, stored, and cherished. The proceeds were all donated to social welfare organizations. After that, the jewelry’s whereabouts were unknown.

It was said that the collector had possessed the jewelry for less than two years before it went missing. He reportedly ordered a replica to be made and placed in his vault to keep it a secret, while the real jewelry’s location was lost.

Kaka’s knowledge of jewelry was limited. He knew about the Heart of the Sea because Hǎilán had mentioned it in her childhood. She had also learned about it by chance. Hǎilán and Cheng Anya liked going to auctions, and Hǎilán had seen the jewelry in a historical exhibition catalog at the Berlin auction house. Because of the similar name, Hǎilán was particularly interested in it.

Hǎilán’s ability to investigate was simpler than any intelligence organization. She had access everywhere and quickly found out the jewelry’s location: Devil’s Castle. But she was unable to retrieve it.

She had originally planned to go adventuring with Wushuang and Ye Wei once her health improved, but she died before she had the chance to steal it.

"I’m bored, I guess," Wushuang said teasingly, shrugging innocently. "I’ve been eyeing this piece for a long time."

"Wushuang, listen to me."

"You want the truth?" Wushuang raised an eyebrow at Kaka. Kaka frowned. Wushuang explained, "The person who originally stole this jewelry was from the Long family—Long Chengtian’s family. They say this jewelry is related to their family curse. It made me think of Fumo."

"What do you mean?"

"I checked Long Chengtian’s background. There are many suspicious areas. His background is too clean, just like ours, but it seems manufactured. I think he and Wen Nuan might be blood relatives. Wushuang truly felt there was no danger in Devil’s Castle for her. If the jewelry could help Ye Fumo, she didn’t want to miss the chance. Kaka seemed to want to say more, but Wushuang tugged his shoulder. "No more talking. Sleep with me."

The five small castles were each equipped with long-range sniper rifles. If someone stole something from the castle, they would have to leave on the ground since there were no underground tunnels. With no trees or obstructions nearby, it made sniping very easy. This was the main reason the castle was so impregnable, and why no one had ever walked out alive.
