Back at home where everything was familiar.
Jùnjùn and Junjun were very excited, and couldn’t sleep at all. They ended up cleaning the house with their mommy. Auntie Li had left in a hurry, the dishes in the kitchen had yet to be washed and were now smelling bad.
Li An’an endured the unbearable stench. It took her a long time before the kitchen was clean again. After that, she opened all the windows in the house to let the air circulate. 𝒻𝓇𝘦𝘦𝘸𝘦𝘣𝘯𝑜𝓋𝘦𝑙.𝒸𝑜𝓂
If only there was a bouquet of fresh flowers around now, it would freshen the air. Just as she was thinking this…
The doorbell rang. She thought it was Fu Yiheng, but when she opened the door, she saw Chu Yichen standing outside. He was wearing a light blue shirt, a black tie, a black vest, and a sleeve band. He was holding a large bouquet of roses and looked exceedingly dashing.
She was stunned. “Wh… Why are you here?”
Chu Yichen thrust the flowers at her and lowered his head so that his lips met hers. “I came because I missed you.” He walked in as if he was the owner of the house.
Li Cheng stood a few steps away and pretended he didn’t see what just happened. He walked in with the bodyguard, carrying some packages.
Li An’an saw a bunch of children’s toys. There were remote-controlled airplanes, cars, puzzles, Thomas trains… Li Cheng and the bodyguard piled the things in a corner, then left after putting down the packages.
Li An’an, holding on to the bouquet of flowers, looked at the toys not knowing how to react. There was indeed something wrong with Chu Yichen lately. The problem was that she did not know how to deal with it. She could only resist the temptation and try her best to think about the money she had been cheated of.
“I haven’t eaten.” Chu Yichen sat on the sofa elegantly and looked at her. He would not tell her that he had turned away a few dinner appointments just so he could eat the food she cooked.
“You can eat whatever you fancy at a restaurant!”
“But I prefer your cooking.” Seeing that Li An’an was not moved, Chu Yichen stood up patiently and put his arm around her waist. “Will you cook for me?” He asked solemnly, his perfectly handsome face bore a hint of humbleness.
Li An’an was stunned. More importantly, Chu Yichen was talking to her in that manner. Did he think he was a little puppy?
Seeing that she was annoyed, Chu Yichen lowered his head and rested his perfect chin on her shoulder. He closed his eyes. “I’ve done a lot today. I’m really tired!”
From Li An’an’s angle, she could only see his lonely and beautiful eyes. Underneath his thick lower eyelashes, there was indeed a hint of a dark shadow. Although it didn’t affect his good looks, she was slightly compelled.
“By the way, Butler Chu told me that I’m not supposed to eat onions, ginger, or garlic since my hand hurts. I have to take good care of it.”
Li An’an sighed. This trick again. She was defeated. Her heart softened.
Crash! Crash!
Two loud crashes sounded in succession. Then, Li An’an saw two small figures rolling out of the bedroom.
Junjun and Jùnjùn hurriedly got up from the floor, patted themselves down, and straightened the little masks on their faces. They didn’t do it on purpose. It was just that those toys were too attractive. So the two of them couldn’t help sneaking up to take a peek. Unexpectedly, they lost her balance.
Chu Yichen opened his eyes and saw the two little ones. Both were wearing white shirts and blue denim overalls, and looked really adorable.
“You like these toys?” He lifted his head from Li An’an’s neck and asked.
Junjun and Jùnjùn nodded. They liked them very much! They wanted to play with every toy they could get their hands on.
Chu Yichen laughed. “If you like them, help yourselves. Uncle bought them for you. When you’re happy to do so, take off your masks and let me see your faces!”
The two little guys, who were originally very excited, suddenly froze and looked at their mommy uneasily.
Li An’an helped them out. “If they like to wear masks, let them be. Don’t force them. Jùnjùn, Junjun, go play in your room!”
When the two little fellows heard their mommy’s words, they were like little mice moving house. They pulled and hugged the pile of toys and divided them into little loads before moving them back to their small room! Then they shut the door behind them.
Chu Yichen laughed. These two little guys were so cute..
