The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 127: Toward Her, Never Merciful
When Dean Holloway was brought over, Yelena Hughes immediately noticed the bruises on his face.
He must have put up quite a fight, but ultimately failed.
Nancy Alden was sitting with her head down, wrapped tightly in a blanket.
Yelena Hughes glanced at Dean Holloway, then turned her gaze back to Jasper Yale.
"Why did you bring him here when you could have just deleted the video?"
Jasper Yale walked up to Yelena Hughes and handed her the phone, "Because I wasn’t sure if everything that needed to be deleted was actually deleted."
Tears glistened in her eyes, unsure if she should laugh or cry.
Yelena Hughes gazed at him, her eyes filled with tears, making everyone around her look blurry.
"You’re always so ruthless when you threaten me, aren’t you?"
Dean Holloway watched as Yelena Hughes lowered her head, unsure where he found the courage to speak up.
"Don’t worry about me! Worst case, I’ll die with you."
Yelena Hughes let out a smile, a tear slipping down her cheek, "Dean, you said you’re your family’s only hope, your parents are counting on you. There’s no need to take risks like this with me."
"Think it through, you’ll never have another chance like this. Do you want Nancy Alden to always have her grip around your neck?"
To Jasper Yale, Dean Holloway was just trying to fan the flames.
"Dean, say no more." Yelena Hughes shook her head at him.
Dean Holloway, though often timid, seemed daring now. "Go ahead, expose it, let’s see who loses face, who can’t survive, just let her—"
Jasper Yale cast a glance over, without a word, his face not even showing anger.
But the pressure was such that it seemed it could tear Dean Holloway’s flesh, and his open mouth slowly closed.
"I sent it to Dean and also to an email, it’s in the cloud too."
Yelena Hughes resigned to her fate.
She deleted everything in front of Jasper Yale.
"If you still don’t believe me, then there’s nothing I can do."
Dean Holloway was furious, almost steaming.
Yelena Hughes walked past Jasper Yale; there was no need for her to stay any longer.
She looked back at the man, her eyes filled with exhaustion, "Can I leave now?"
Nancy Alden glanced over, Jasper Yale’s expression was calm. She was sitting there, quietly sobbing.
"Jasper Yale, my leg hurts a lot."
Nancy Alden pulled back the blanket, exposing her leg, the pale skin was scalded red with several blisters.
"Did you do this?" Jasper Yale’s words were clearly directed at Yelena Hughes.
Yelena Hughes met his gaze, not avoiding it, "Yes."
"You—"
There was finally a hint of anger in his words.
But he didn’t continue.
"Hailey Jenkins, find Josephine." Nancy Alden needed to go to the hospital anyway.
Jasper Yale kicked aside the tissue box, the floor littered with debris, and stepped over the chaos to stand in front of Nancy Alden.
"She did this to you, what do you, as the victim, think should be done?"
Nancy Alden wished she could strip Yelena Hughes bare to let her feel what humiliation is like, but she couldn’t be that vicious; Jasper Yale wouldn’t like it either.
Nancy Alden lightly wiped her eye corners, "She misunderstood me, acted impulsively, and since the video is deleted, just let it go."
He thought Jasper Yale would surely teach her a lesson.
Last time, Dean Holloway had his head broken, and Yelena Hughes slapped her. This time, at least one of Yelena Hughes’ hands should be crippled.
But Jasper Yale went along with her, "Alright, since it’s a misunderstanding, let’s let it go."
What do you mean, let it go?! 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Yelena Hughes pulled Dean Holloway out, Nancy Alden reached out to Jasper Yale, "Will my leg rot? It hurts so much."
"It won’t. Once Josephine helps you dress, I’ll take you to the hospital."
When Josephine hurried in, she was startled by the scene, "What happened here?"
"I’ll wait for you outside," Jasper Yale said as he lifted a leg.
"Jasper, stay with me..." Nancy Alden was deeply afraid, worried Yelena Hughes would come back in.
At the door, with his back to Nancy Alden, the man said, "No one knows if Yelena Hughes is telling the truth or lying. Whether that video is completely erased is known only to her. But as long as Anne Hughes is safe, so are you."
"Jasper, what do you mean by that?"
Nancy Alden was inexplicably fearful, "Do you really believe what Yelena said? She’s making it all up."
Jasper Yale said nothing more, opening the door and leaving.
Nancy Alden was unwilling, trying to get off the bed. "Listen to me, I didn’t do those things..."
But the door had already closed.
After they left, Dean Holloway felt upset, "You shouldn’t have bothered with me; I would’ve just taken a beating, but filming that video wasn’t easy. We leveraged so many connections just to get you inside; now Nancy will be guarded..."
"I have a copy in hand, don’t worry."
"Huh?" Dean’s face lit up with surprise, "You’re not lying to me, are you?"
Yelena Hughes looked disheartened; she wasn’t sure if she’d lost this battle or managed to draw it out.
"Dean, did you see?" Yelena Hughes stopped by the roadside, "As long as Jasper stands by Nancy’s side, I can never win."
"Then make him stand by you!"
Yelena Hughes laughed self-deprecatingly, "What do I have to earn that?"
"Because he can’t do anything to you, Yelena, you have a chance to win."
If Yelena really lost, they’d be in a bad situation now.
But didn’t she get out without harm?
Nancy seemed to have won, but she lost face, dignity, and suffered physical pain, didn’t she?
The night had completely fallen, and the moonlight cast a layer of haze over Yelena Hughes’ face. She suddenly grabbed Dean’s wrist.
"Dean, do me a favor."
"Don’t worry, I’d go through hellfire for you."
Yelena bent close to his ear and whispered two sentences, making Dean shiver, "Isn’t this too risky?"
"We’ve done more dangerous things. I’m not afraid, so you shouldn’t be either."
Dean still hesitated, "I honestly feel for you."
"Even if he doesn’t care about me, you won’t let that old man succeed, will you?"
After Nancy was taken to the hospital and her wounds treated, she clung tightly to Jasper Yale’s hand, as if afraid he would run away.
As they were leaving the hospital, after Jasper had just put Nancy in the car and was about to get in himself, someone called him.
"Sir."
Dean was quite afraid of him, so he didn’t dare approach, standing three steps away.
Jasper Yale glanced back, but didn’t see Yelena Hughes.
"Still here?"
What kind of words were those.
Dean caught Nancy’s eye inside the car and intentionally raised his voice, "Yelena went to The Avalon Banquet, she’s looking for President York."
