The Broken Halo-Chapter 135: It’s a...
Pigs cannot look at the sky.
In his past life, when Simon heard this from one of his friends before the invasion of demons, he did not believe such a thing.
Why wouldn’t an animal be able to look at the sky?
Shouldn’t every animal be able to look at the sky?
But when he made his findings, he realized that pigs couldn’t actually look at the sky.
The only way they could look at the sky was by tilting their head to the side, looking sideways, and lying on their backs.
It was surprising and fascinating to Simon back then, and it was something he never forgot.
In fact, this seemingly little and inconsequential information was what saved his life when he was battling a demon who was a combination of a demon pig and an orc.
The demon was built for battle unlike Pellin, and it was too powerful for Simon to defeat back then.
He would have died if not for the fact that he remembered that pigs could not look at the sky, and well, the demon had the head of a pig and was part pig.
To kill the demon, he jumped from a high building and killed it from above.
Funny enough, killing it had been way easier than battling it.
It was one of the reasons why Simon never took demon pigs seriously. They had a serious weakness, and that was the sky.
They could not look at the sky.
Pellin knew this very well, which was why when he heard Simon’s words, he was stunned.
He had no idea what the game ’Simon says’ was, but heading the latter part made him understand that if he was able to look at the sky, Simon would most likely let him live if he stayed true to his words.
Though, the chances of that was rather low.
’But I can’t look at the sky even if I was standing.’
Just as Pellin had this thought, Simon spoke once again.
"Hey. Do you agree to play the game? I can let you stand if you want to."
Pellin gritted his teeth, but he didn’t say anything.
He knew that Simon was toying with him, and he could not do anything to stop it.
’No. I can. He’s only binding my neck. Not my hands. If I control the earth, I can cause him to lose his footing or bind his feet, then capture him and break him.’
’This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for. As long as I’m able to overcome this situation, I’ll be able to do anything to him and break him as I wish. The Grave Lords would also agree with me.’
’A slave who tries to stab one of his masters in the back is a worthless and dangerous slave.’
’I just have to capture him.’
Even in his current situation, Pellin never had the thought of killing Simon.
No.
What he wanted was to capture him and break him.
That was his heart desire, and it was one of the main reasons why he had not thought of so many different ways he could save his life.
He wished to capture Simon without alerting anybody, play with him as much as possible, then report what happened to the authorities before breaking him completely.
Yes.
That was what he wanted.
And it was utterly foolish.
The fingers on his right hand moved as he was about to control his chaos. However...
Stab!
Simon suddenly stabbed his right hand, and he instantly screamed.
"Arrgg-"
Slam!
Pellin’s head suddenly slammed into the ground as Simon stepped on it with full force.
"It seems you aren’t playing my game. Too bad. I guess your time is up."
Pellin trembled as Simon’s voice drifted into his ears, then for the first time since Simon appeared in his room, he realized something.
He was going to die.
’No! I don’t want to!’
He tried raising his head, but Simon’s feet suddenly emitted a dark silver glow, and he pushed Pellin’s face deeper into the ground. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Pellin groaned, and his free hand tried to move, and Simon shook his head with a scoff.
He removed the Chaos Blade from Pellin’s impaled right hand, then he swung it at Pellin’s left shoulder, completely and easily severing Pellin’s arm like knife cutting through butter.
Pellin screamed in pain, but his voice was muddled and inaudible because Simon was pressing his head into the ground with so much force that he couldn’t move.
"Truly a disgusting pain. You love causing people pain but you can’t even handle pain."
Simon said with a cold and indifferent expression, though his expression was dark and unsatisfied.
He still wanted to do more to Pellin. He wanted to make the pig scream. He wanted to make the pig squeal.
He could vividly recall every single thing Pellin did to him, and the anger in his heart was not satiated.
Only a little bit was satiated, but he needed more. His demon heart wanted more. His blood boiled and wanted more.
’How annoying that I can’t torture him as I wish because of the clan... Sigh... It is what it is. I knew this would happen, but I still decided to do this. It’s better this way.’
Simon released a deep sigh, then he shook his head.
"Goodbye Pellin. I hope death tortures you a million times more than the thiughts I have for you."
Simon raised the Chaos Blade, and Pellin struggled.
He tried to control his chaos with his stabbed right hand, but the Chaos Wraps on Simon’s right hand moved and bound his hand tightly.
The wraps around his neck was also bound tightly, preventing him from making a sound.
Simon took one last glance at the disgusting demon pig and was about to lower the Chaos Blade.
However...
The door to Pellin’s home was suddenly unlocked from the outside, and Simon’s pupils constricted and his head snapped in the direction of the door.
Two demons walked in, and one tiny little pig excitedly ran into the house.
"Father! Father! See what mom got me! It’s a... Father?"
