Chapter 351: Domenic X Fae King (Part Two)

"You are the one who brought me here, then you should be the one sending me back. Besides, you know pretty well that I can’t leave this place without your help, Your Majesty." Domenic tried to reason with the Fae as calmly as he could.

But the Fae King had no intention of helping Domenic. He took another step closer to the latter and there was merely half a foot of distance left between the two. "You are right. I’m the one who brought you here to my Realm, but you know what my mate..." he almost purred while saying the ’mate’ word and it did things to Domenic, "... I wouldn’t have been able to do it if you have shown any sort of resistance, but you didn’t. The moment you sensed that it’s me, you gave me permission to do whatever I wanted."

Each word coming out of the Fae King’s mouth made Domenic tremble from within. There was no way he would do something like that, not even unconciously. "Stop saying ridiculous things. I had no clue what was going on until I saw you here..."

The Fae King closes the remaining space between them and came to stand right in front of Domenic with only inches separating their bodies. But then he inched his face even closer, bringing his lips so close to Domenic’s that one single movement in the wrong direction and they would be sharing a peck.

It took every ounce of Domenic’s self control to stay still and not step away.

"How about you just stop running from me?" The Fae King proposed and his breath fanned Domenic’s lips.

"Your Majesty..." Domenic felt his throat getting dry and he had to stop speaking, mostly because he didn’t know what to say anymore. There was something about the fae in front of him that made all his reasoning fail and his body to react in ways no one else ever could. Maybe it was the mate bond, or just a natural chemistry between them, but there was surely something between them.

Taking in a deep breath, he once again tried to calmly deal with the fae. "Your Majesty, I have already made it clear to you that I’m not interested in any sort of relationship at the moment. You have survived the last ten years without me just fine, I’m sure you can live the rest of your life like that as well."

The Fae King made the most unexpected move at that moment, wrapping one of his hands around Domenic’s waist and pulling him against his half naked body.

"What are you..."

"You are right." The Fae King spoke, cutting off Domenic in mid sentence. "I did live the past decade without you but that was because I couldn’t find you no matter how hard I tried. Our mate bond wasn’t strong enough for me to locate you. But since I have finally found you, there’s no way I’m letting you go."

"You-"

The rest of Domenic’s words were sealed by the soft lips that covered his for a very unexpected and sudden kiss. It ended just as quickly as it started, barely in a few seconds.

"Aleron!"

Domenic was too taken aback to do anything except for staring at the fae with wide-eyes.

A smile curved the corners of the Fae King’s lips as he spoke - "If I have known that a kiss will make you say my name, I would have done it the first time I met you in your office. My ears have been craving to hear you say my name."

Domenic stared, or more like glared, at the Fae King as he responded - "You should stop talking nonsense."

Instead of listening to the suggestion, the Fae King boldly planted another peck on Domenic’s lips.

"Aleron!"

Domenic immediately tried to pull away from the shameless fae but the latter’s hold didn’t give him the privilege to do so.

"See! I told you. It did work." Aleron had a playful touch to his tone as he spoke while resting his chin over Domenic’s shoulder and looking up into his eyes.

"Alright. Now just stop your nonsense and let me go." Domenic said as he tried to look anywhere but at those puppy eyes that were trying to attract his attention.

"Impossible." Aleron was quick to deny. "I have waited so long to once again hold you again in my arms, there’s no way I’m letting you go." He even tightened his arm around Domenic’s waist to emphasize his words.

Domenic searched for something to say, to find a way to get away from the fae, but there was no denying that it felt so relaxing and safe to be in his arms. "Is this a dream or real?" He ended up asking after a few moments of silence.

"Whatever you want it to be." Aleron answered as he snuggled his face closer to Domenic’s neck, causing the latter to become completely stiff. "But you can think of it as a dream and let me take care of you. Doesn’t my offer sound tempting?"

Domenic didn’t respond immediately but when he did, it was nothing what the fae wanted to hear. "This isn’t right. You need to stop trying so hard, Aleron. I have already told you that I have no time to entertain a relationship." He was finally able to sound more determined and less torn.

"Fine by me."

Aleron’s unexpected reply surprised Domenic but his shock was short-lived.

"We aren’t going to talk about our future or relationship. Let’s talk about now."

"What do you want to talk about then?" Domenic asked while arching his eyebrows as he watched the fae moving to stand in front of him while putting slight space between them.

Aleron snaked one of his hands over Domenic’s shoulder while his other hand moved to grab the latter’s hand before pulling it to rest against his very bare torso.

Domenic immediately tried to pull his hand away but Aleron kept a tight hold on it while moving it upward to rest over his muscular chest. "There’s a lot we can do other than talking or arguing. I told you, I will take care of you. Just let me."
