The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 306: I Love Him Too

Emily was so wrong to even think about her brothers not being there in the hospital room when Kaiden kissed her out of the blue.

Heavens! The embarrassment that she received after finding all of them staring at her after Kaiden finally let her go and she turned around, she almost wanted to hide in one of the corners of the room and never appear in front of them unless they forget about this moment.

"How about I come with the two of you? Let’s go, Emily." Simon was immediately there as he took hold of her hand and started pulling her out of the room. He didn’t even wait for Kaiden’s reply and even glared a little at the First Sullivan Master.

’You deserve it.’ Emily sent the message to Kaiden through their mind link as she followed her brother out of the room. The others also followed behind them and Kaiden was too in the group.

Domenic and Sam had already taken care of her and Crist’s discharge formalities and were waiting in the parking lot. There were around right cars parked in a line that Emily immediately recognized and as she turned around to look at the name of the hospital, she found out that it was the one under her family’s business.

Within a few minutes, all the right cars were hitting the highway as they all headed back home. Bianca, Sam, and Jackson were returning to their mansion so that they could also get ready for lunch.

On the other hand, Kaiden was driving her home just like he said. The sad part - Simon not only joined them for the ride but even made Emily sit with him in the backseat, and she didn’t need to be a genius to know that the latter did bug Kaiden a little bit though he tried not to show it.

’I just wanted to be with you for a few more minutes.’ She heard his voice in her mind as she sat there in the backseat with her eyes closed. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

’Then you shouldn’t have kissed me like that in front of everyone. They just accepted you in the family and you already started crossing the line.’ She didn’t hold back while reprimanding him. She was really lucky to not get teased by her brothers for that kiss but who knew when this luck would suddenly end and she would find herself at their mercy? The thought almost scared her.

’I couldn’t control... even if I wanted to.’ Came his reply as they reached the Alessandro estates and the huge gates opened up to allow entrance to all the waiting cars.

Her eyes fluttered open and she found herself looking at him in the rearview mirror only to find his gaze already fixed on her.

’I know I won’t get any alone time with you today but can we meet tonight?’ His voice almost sounded hopeful and Emily felt really sad while denying the idea.

’My brothers won’t allow me to step outside at night after yesterday’s incident. But even if not for that, I still won’t be available tonight. There are some things that I need to sort out.’ She replied and noticed the seriousness that dawned in his cerulean eyes before he looked away and focused on driving the car.

There was silence for the next couple of moments before he finally spoke - ’Is it about Shadow?’ He sounded more worried instead of sad or disappointed. Once again she realized just how understanding Kaiden was towards her.

’Yeah. Do you want to be there too?’ She asked and found him immediately replying in negative. ’You two should sit down and finally get things straight and I’m sure you will be able to do it. I don’t like it when he’s out there hurting all alone. So, I’ll wait for you to bring him back to us. I need to apologize to him too.’

The car came to a stop next to the stairs leading to the house and they all stepped outside. However, her eyes still ended up finding him first as he stood just a few feet in front of her.

Simon was immediately beside her, ready to pull her away but then Domenic finally decided to interrupt. "Boys, let them talk for a few minutes while we wait inside." There were groans but everyone eventually followed his words.

Emily and Kaiden both gave Domenic appreciative looks which he accepted humbly before he too left after the others who all headed to the lift instead of taking the stairs.

"I still like Domenic the most among all your brothers," Kaiden commented as he finally turned his attention back to her. Emily just smiled but didn’t comment on it, she had other things to say to him. "Did you know... about his feelings for me?"

Kaiden’s expression changed again as he became serious again, his cerulean eyes turning darker as he looked back at her. "I did. It’s hard not to know when his every action toward you speak so loudly about his feelings. I’m just surprised that it took you so long."

"I wasn’t unaware... of his feelings. I just..." Emily trailed off as she felt her throat burning up when thinking about Shadow and all the time that she had spent in his company knowing fully well just how deep his feelings were for her.

Kaiden was immediately there in front of her as he took hold of her hands and spoke, "... were scared of losing him... or hurting me."

Emily looked up at his face from their joined hands and found the man smiling warmly at her. "I know, angel. If I can sense his love for you, then I can easily tell how much he means to you. And that’s why I have always been so vocal about his involvement in our life... because I didn’t want you to feel that his involvement is making me jealous or feel insecure in any sort. I love him too, angel. Maybe not in a romantic way but I still do and care about him."
