Maya felt her life flash before her eyes. She gasped for air, but her lungs felt frozen. Her stepfather’s fingers tightened around her throat as he continued to squeeze her to death. She was fading into darkness, ready to meet death.

Suddenly, he released her throat, and Maya stumbled to the floor, coughing violently.

"Fuck it!" Fredrick Hathaway cursed. "I wanted to end your life and send you off to join Cecelia in hell, but I can’t!"

He sat down and lit another cigarette, taking a long drag. "Vico will have my head if I kill you," he said, his eyes palpitated with fear. "I nearly lost my life when Vico found out I caused your traumatic brain injury. He put me through hell!" A tremor of fear ached in his voice.

As Maya caught her breath and rubbed her sore throat, she began to wonder who Vico was. Her stepfather seemed to be afraid of him. Why does this Vico person care if she dies?

Fredrick Hathaway lets out a sigh. "You would have started sleeping with the clients at the gentlemen’s club on your very first day there, but I decided to go easy on you. After all, you had just recovered from your traumatic brain injury. You would have been in high demand—my best-selling girl."

Maya was reeled with disgust. "I won’t. I will never sell my body!" she exclaimed, her voice faint but defiant.

Fredrick Hathaway laughed in a taunting manner. "My dear stepdaughter, all the girls working at Venus City have slept with clients, including your red-haired friend Natalia and Laura. It’s a rite of passage. It will be your turn soon."

Maya’s eyes widened in shock. Oh no, were Natalia and Laura forced to sleep with those perverted men? She felt dejected, tears streaming down her face as she felt sad for her friends.

No wonder Natalia is grumpy most of the time; she is being forced to sell her body.

"After you sleep with Terrence’s boss, you will start having sex with my VVIP clients," Fredrick Hathaway declared.

Maya’s stomach tightened with despair.

"Take her to your boss," he ordered the bald, muscular bodyguard.

The bodyguard grabbed Maya and threw her over his shoulder.

"Put me down! Let me go!" Maya pounded her fists against the bodyguard’s solid back, but he didn’t budge.

"Let me go!" Maya screamed through her tears, fear becoming her constant companion.

The bodyguard took her into another room and threw her onto a large bed.

There was a man with a potbelly, wearing only boxers in the room. Maya assumed he must be Terrence’s boss.

"Thank you, John." The potbelly man said to the bodyguard.

The potbelly man locked the door after the bodyguard left.

He shot Maya a creepy smile.

"Stay away from me!" Maya hissed at him.

The potbelly man laughed. "You are shy? I love the shy ones. The moment I saw you on Terrence’s phone screen. I knew I must have you immediately," He smacked his lips. "You look more sumptuous than I imagined," His eyes repulsively devour her.

Maya coils, shuddering with revulsion.

"There are better candidates that deserve that promotion, but if you satisfy me, I will give that promotion to your brother."

Maya drifted to the headboard as she glared at the man.

Terrence can go to hell! She won’t allow herself to be sexually assaulted because of some useless promotion.

Maya darts around. Her eyes fell on a lamp on the left side of the bed.

She shifted slowly and got closer to the lamp.

"Give me a second, " Maya batted her eyes seductively at the man to distract him.

The man’s lustful eyes got lost, gloating at her. Maya quickly grabbed the lamp and hid it behind her back without him noticing.

"Come to daddy, baby," he stretches out his arms,

Maya feigned shyness as she stepped out of the bed. She walks slowly towards him. She took a last stride and smashed the lamp at his head. The man toppled to the floor, blood oozing from his head.

Maya dashed to the door. She fumbled with the key, as she was shivering. She let out a triumphant cry when the door unlocked.

She runs out of the door. She didn’t look back. Didn’t care if the man was dead or alive.

But as soon as she turned a corner, she ran into the bald muscular bodyguard.

"Where do you think you are going?"

Maya stopped in her tracks.

"Where’s my boss?" the bodyguard questioned in a grim tone.

"H-He is- a-sleep," Maya lied

A dangerous gleam spread in the bodyguard’s vicious eyes. "If he is done having fun with you. Then it’s my turn." He grinned like a hungry wolf.

Maya’s face turned ashen white and pallid. She backed away, looking for an escape, but unfortunately for her, she was cornered.

She run out from a microwave into an oven. The universe hates her.

The bodyguard grabbed her hand and pulled her to his chest. He used his other hand to roughly squeeze her butt. "So soft, you will be a good fuck,"he groaned with pleasure.

Maya screeched out loud, struggling to get free. But the bodyguard is thrice her size and has tremendous strength.

Suddenly, Maya got an opening, and she kneeled him in the balls.

"Ah!" The bodyguard yelp, releasing his grip on Maya. He went down on his knees, his hands clasping his groin as he wallowed in pain.

Maya didn’t hesitate and took to her heel but she didn’t get far. The bodyguard grabbed her ankle and dragged her back. She screamed, praying that someone from the party going on downstairs, would come to rescue her. But it seems Maya was screaming into a void and the party was taking place in another universe instead of right in the mansion.

He towered over her. All hope was lost but Maya couldn’t stop fighting to get free. She’s not going to let this man violate her.

She scratched his hand when he reached out to touch her boobs.

"Bitch," He smacked her face causing her to scream with pain.

"Shut up," He strikes her mouth, silencing her.
