The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy!-Chapter 664: Not My Type
"And to do that... I need to show results, rather than defend myself just for the sake of it."
Lola’s words replayed in Scarlet’s mind as she watched Lola run toward the residents, their faces lighting up the moment they saw her. Standing by the open car door, Scarlet shook her head, releasing a shallow breath.
"This is why I don’t like her," she muttered. "She could’ve... reached much higher. But because of silly emotions, she can’t."
It wasn’t that Scarlet hated Lola for the sake of hating her. At first, she had disliked Lola simply because she seemed too silly. Their first meeting hadn’t gone well, and first impressions tended to linger. Hers certainly had.
But after what happened in the penthouse—after Scarlet was punished for it—she did some self-reflection. It wasn’t that she felt sorry for Lola, but she understood where she had gone wrong.
More than that, she realized Atlas was serious about Lola.
From then on, Scarlet began observing Lola—not as a nuisance, but as someone who would eventually become the matriarch of the Order. At first, she didn’t see anything alarming. But then rumors about Lola began spreading within the Order.
Scarlet ignored them at first. Such things were inevitable; Lola was an outsider. But as days passed and Lola did nothing to address them, the whispers only grew louder until Scarlet knew she had to intervene.
Or rather, confront Lola, so she would finally push herself to crush those rumors.
Scarlet didn’t care whether Lola hated her or not. They weren’t friends, and she preferred it that way.
"What a silly reasoning," Scarlet muttered, letting out a short laugh as she shook her head and climbed back into the car.
As she settled into the driver’s seat, she glanced at the empty passenger side. Through the window, she saw children clinging to Lola while residents welcomed her with warm smiles.
"Troublesome too," Scarlet murmured before driving away, choosing not to wait. Lola would surely find her own way back later, as she always did.

Meanwhile, in one of New Gehran’s prisons...
"What?" Gehran spat as he slumped against the corner of his cell.
Outside the bars stood Himari. She studied him quietly. His hair was disheveled, sticking out in every direction, and he still wore the same clothes from the day he was thrown inside. Though only a few days had passed since Ravah’s fall, he had lost a noticeable amount of weight.
Her gaze shifted to the food tray near her feet. The contents looked like something half-digested, barely fit to be called food.
Himari released a soft breath and gently set down a piece of bread wrapped in a thick, clean cloth.
"The territory is still struggling," she said softly as she slid it closer to the bars. "Food isn’t scarce, but it’s not abundant either. This is all I can bring."
She crouched and looked up at him. "Even so, it’s better than the filth they’ve been serving you."
CLANG!
The bars rattled violently as Gehran lunged forward, grabbing them and shaking them with all his strength. He reached for her, his fingertips stopping just an inch short.
Himari remained calm, watching him in silence.
"Gehran," she said quietly, but he didn’t stop. "I’ve forgiven you."
This time, his hand froze. His eyes snapped back to her.
Himari rose slowly, smiling gently. "I’ve forgiven you," she repeated, slower this time as if reassuring herself. "I know you and my husband had different beliefs. Wanting wealth isn’t wrong. It was the life you dreamed of, and your determination was admirable."
Sadness flickered in her eyes. "But what was wrong was trampling on others to reach it, using people as stepping stones. I used to think the saying money is the root of all evil was exaggerated. But now, perhaps... there was some truth to it after all."
"Gehran," she continued quietly, releasing the last of her resentment, "I forgive you for what you did to me. But you still must pay for your crimes."
"You bitch—" Gehran snarled, his eyes blazing. "Did you come here just to say that?! Who needs your forgiveness, you fucking whore?!"
But his curses didn’t faze her.
"I will pray for you," Himari said, taking a breath as she stepped back. "Goodbye, Gehran."
She turned and walked away. When she was near the door, she stopped and turned to her grandson.
Haji was leaning against the wall, watching her carefully.
"Grandma, go ahead. Billionaire’s waiting outside," he said, pushing himself off the wall. "I’ll just teach him how to talk to you."
Himari chuckled, clutching his arm. "Don’t dirty your hands further, Haji," she said warmly. "He’s already suffering, and he knows it."
"...."
"Let’s go." She tugged his arm gently, urging him away from Gehran’s screaming.
Haji clicked his tongue and ruffled his hair, irritation clear on his face, but he let her guide him outside.
"Grandma, if I ever end up in heaven, it’s because my grandma’s a VIP," he muttered.
Himari laughed and lightly smacked his shoulder. "Don’t say that. You’re not even married yet. You’re far too young to be thinking about heaven."
Haji grimaced. He was starting to sense her growing interest in something he wanted nothing to do with.
"Ah!" Billionaire jumped when he spotted them. "That was fast. Granny, did you punch him?"
His eyes shone with anticipation, only to dim when Haji answered flatly.
"She forgave him."
"What?!" Billionaire rolled up his sleeve. "Hold on. I’ll go in there and do it for her."
Himari laughed and stopped him. "Both of you," she shook her head, "you can’t solve everything with violence."
"But Grandma—" Billionaire protested, and complained on and on.
Haji simply nodded along, too tired to argue, so he was letting Billionaire ramble.
Mid-rant, Billionaire paused and glanced sideways as a car drove past them.
"Huh?" He nudged Haji with his elbow. "Look, look!"
"Tch — I saw!" Haji glared at Billionaire, who was giving him this suggestive look.
Himari followed his gaze and watched Scarlet drive back toward the governor’s residence. A soft smile touched her lips.
"She is..." Himari said gently, "...very pretty."’
She then playfully elbowed Haji’s side. "Haha, you didn’t tell me she’s your type."
"Grandma." Haji’s face twisted before he shot a glare at Billionaire. "That girl is not my type—it’s this guy!"
"What? Me?! No way! She’s not my type!"
"She already rejected him before he even said anything—that’s why he wants me to share the same fate!" Haji scratched the back of his head, but with Billionaire and Himari poking his sides like mischievous children, he could only feel helpless.
He clicked his tongue and glanced toward where Scarlet had parked. "Why... would I ever be interested in someone like that?" he grumbled.
That didn’t stop the two of them at all.
