The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 655: Her Biological Father
Summer walked out of the master bedroom and saw Damian Knight opening one of the suitcases.
She had been puzzled just now; she only had one suitcase, so why did Damian Knight bring two upstairs?
As she moved closer to check, she found that the suitcase was filled with cleaning tools.
Summer glanced at the suitcase and discovered it contained everything, even tools specifically for cleaning glass.
All the tools were taken out and spread, occupying almost half of the living room.
Summer watched Damian Knight pull out a broom, paired with his workwear, it really felt like she had hired an expensive cleaner.
"Your equipment is quite complete. I’ll give you a raise later."
"Thank you, boss."
Damian Knight gave Summer a formal bow, making her burst into laughter.
After joking around for a while, they both started cleaning the room.
To Summer’s surprise, Damian Knight was indeed skilled at cleaning; within less than two hours, the room, once covered in dust, became bright.
Summer turned on the air conditioner, and the last trace of mustiness in the room gradually dissipated.
"I’ll make the bed, you go downstairs to throw out the trash, and then we’ll go shopping and cook."
Damian Knight gestured an "Understood" and went downstairs carrying several large bags of trash.
Summer watched Damian Knight’s back, feeling as if the emptiness in her heart was filled with soft cotton candy.
She couldn’t describe her current mood, but this feeling... was very nice.
After watching Damian Knight leave, Summer turned back to the bedroom to make the bed.
While making the bed, Summer suddenly found a photograph hidden underneath the mattress.
She pulled it out and her pupils trembled.
A few minutes later, Damian Knight came upstairs; he didn’t see anyone in the living room and went to the bedroom to find someone.
Summer was holding a photograph, staring at it blankly, as if lost in thought.
Damian Knight couldn’t help but speak: "What are you looking at?"
Summer snapped back to reality, looking up at Damian Knight, and due to her agitation, tears even welled up in her eyes.
Damian Knight frowned slightly and instinctively reached out to wipe away the tears at the corner of her eyes.
His fingertips, rough with heavy calluses, rubbed against the corner of her eyes, creating a strange gritty sensation, like an electric current running across her face.
Summer’s heart suddenly raced; her expression froze, and she instinctively stepped back, leaving Damian Knight’s hand suspended in mid-air.
His expression darkened slightly but quickly returned to normal, asking again: "What’s wrong? What are you looking at?"
Summer forced herself to ignore the strange feeling just now, coughed lightly, and handed over the photograph she was holding.
"Look at this! I found it under the mattress, it should have been left by my mom. Henry Stanton moved away all the valuable things from here, but didn’t move the furniture, so this photo was left behind."
Damian Knight took the photograph and looked; it was a group photo, and in the picture, Luna Monroe smiled gently and sweetly, while the man beside her lightly hugged her, tilting his head affectionately toward Luna Monroe.
The man’s features were well-defined, his handsome and profound face captivating, as if every inch was carved by a master craftsman, with sword-like brows, starry eyes, and a tall nose, a typical Western visage radiating an elegant yet assertive aura of European nobility.
What’s noteworthy is that this man’s features vaguely resembled Summer’s by about thirty percent.
"This man..." Damian Knight looked at Summer in surprise.
Summer knew what he wanted to say and nodded: "I think this man might be my biological father."
