The Billionaire CEO Wants to Marry Me Every Day-Chapter 115: Like a Fishbone Stuck in the Throat
"That’s right." Summer Monroe swiftly secured the safety buckle. Without waiting for Damian Knight and Isaac Ross to speak, she strode to the window, pressing one hand on the ledge, and flipped nimbly onto the air conditioning unit outside.
The movement was seamless, and Isaac Ross, who originally didn’t believe Summer could get down by herself, was momentarily stunned.
"She..." Isaac Ross asked Damian Knight in shock, "Who exactly is she? Isn’t she the daughter the Stanton Family found from the countryside? Do all girls from the countryside climb out of windows? Are they all skilled in medicine?"
Damian Knight didn’t answer Isaac Ross. He went to the window, just about to confirm whether Summer could really manage it, when he saw her skillfully maneuvering down the rope, descending two floors in seconds.
Damian Knight swallowed his words of concern and turned to Isaac Ross, saying, "Don’t underestimate women. I’ll go next, and you last."
Isaac Ross climbed to the window, watching Summer who was already halfway down, completely shocked.
He couldn’t help but say to Damian Knight, "She really is something impressive... Now I understand why Julian Kingston is so taken with her. That guy usually despises pretentious socialites but is captivated by someone so forthright."
Damian Knight glanced irritably at Isaac Ross, saying, "Stop talking nonsense and get ready to go down."
Thinking about Julian Kingston claiming to have fallen for Summer at first sight made him inexplicably agitated.
He didn’t know why...
In less than ten minutes, the three of them had safely descended and drove to the Ross Family’s private hospital.
The Ross Family’s private hospitals are spread worldwide, with five locations in Crestfall alone.
The person they were going to treat was in the Kingston Family’s Fifth Hospital, which does not accommodate regular patients.
Because it doesn’t treat ordinary patients, the Fifth Hospital is usually empty.
When Summer got out of the car, aside from a few medical staff swapping shifts, she couldn’t see any bystanders.
"This way," Isaac Ross took the lead and started walking.
Yet he still harbored some distrust towards Summer.
Can traditional medicine really treat psychological illnesses that Western medicine requires a year to cure? He absolutely didn’t believe it!
But since they were already there, he decided to let her try.
The three of them walked to the inpatient building at the back.
The whole building currently housed just one patient — the one they had captured.
As Summer walked down the eerily quiet hospital corridor, she couldn’t help but remark, "This is the emptiest hospital I’ve ever seen..."
Whether domestically or abroad, hospitals are always bustling with people.
Isaac Ross proudly said, "Not just anyone can enter this hospital; it’s accessible only to the high and mighty."
And even among the elite, it’s a matter of how powerful or wealthy they truly are.
Summer shook her head in disagreement, "That’s wrong, patients seek medical help, entrusting their lives. Hospitals should be open to treat the sick, and doctors should treat lives without regard to status or wealth. If you have patients and don’t treat them, it’s no different from murder. How could you use such external conditions to choose your patients?"
Isaac Ross wanted to argue but ultimately refrained.
Seeing Isaac Ross’s complex expression, Summer decided not to persuade him further.
Thoughts of social hierarchy are deeply ingrained in the minds of those at the top of the pyramid, and a few words from her couldn’t change that.
The best she could do was start with herself.
This was also what her adoptive parents had taught her. If they too had discriminated in treating patients based on status, she, abandoned on the roadside by traffickers like a beggar due to a high fever, would no longer exist in this world.
Summer’s expression became particularly serious.
Beside her, Damian Knight wanted to say something several times, but in the end, he swallowed his words.
He could clearly sense that Summer was more distant towards him and Isaac Ross than before.
It felt like a fishbone stuck in his throat, leaving him indescribably annoyed.
Soon, Summer was taken to the thirteenth floor.
