The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 725 - 766: Eating a Woman’s Jealousy
Being seen entering the men’s restroom made Sienna Johnson feel incredibly embarrassed. She quickly buried her head in Adrian Desmond’s chest, pretending to be an ostrich.
"Get out!" Adrian said to the man who was urinating.
His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried enough authority to intimidate.
The man shivered. Seeing that Adrian, with his menacing aura, was not to be trifled with, he quickly pulled up his pants and ran out.
Adrian held her by the waist and hips, placed her on the sink, then turned around to prop the door closed with a mop handle.
"Adrian, what are you doing?" she asked, startled like a frightened bird.
He walked over, stood between her legs, held her waist with one hand and her shoulder with the other, which alarmed Sienna.
One of the straps of her dress slipped off, revealing the beige bra strap and her smooth, fair shoulder.
Sienna winced as Adrian pinched her. As she leaned back, he pressed his mouth to her exposed skin. Each kiss sent shivers down her spine as if igniting a fire.
"Adrian, this is a public place!"
"So what?"
The location, the position—it was all mortifying and demeaning, utterly lacking in respect.
She thought about his identity and the tangled web of their relationships. She recalled the humiliation at the Carpenter family’s home the night before, and the recent phone call from Melanie Carpenter, filled with taunts and curses. A self-respecting woman, she was now branded a homewrecker because of him...
In her fury, all his past kindness vanished. His concern and affection now seemed to mask ulterior motives.
Sienna’s nose tingled, and tears welled up, flowing from the corners of her eyes.
As Adrian kissed her, he felt her tears and hesitated.
"All you know is crying!" he said gently, pulling out a tissue to wipe her tears. Sienna turned her head away, not letting him touch her.
"Are you done with your tantrum?"
"I want to go back to Sileria City!"
All movement stopped. Adrian swallowed. In the silence, all that could be heard was her choked sobs.
Realizing he’d gone too far, Adrian softened his tone. "She touched you!"
"..."
"You’re mine, from head to toe, every strand of hair is mine!" he declared possessively.
"I’m not yours!"
"You’re my wife. If not mine, whose?"
Their love was like a fragile building with a weak foundation; the slightest disturbance could lead to its complete collapse.
"Adrian, what am I to you? Am I even a person in your eyes?"
"Of course you are! You’re my treasure!"
After fixing her clothes, he embraced her, pressing his forehead against hers.
Only when he calmed down did he realize how inappropriate his actions had been. He gently stroked her back. "I don’t like other people touching you. Don’t let her touch you again, I can’t take it!"
"Angie’s a woman!"
"Even women are not allowed!"
She pushed him away. "Get away from me!"
"You’re not done, are you?" Adrian’s patience ran out, and his voice rose sharply, signaling his rising anger.
"Angie and I are a shameless pair, and we’re going to continue being one! As for you, Sixth Master, you can go find a cool spot and stay there!"
"Don’t say things you don’t mean!"
Sienna’s face remained cold and silent as tears continued to roll down her cheeks.
Her crying deflated Adrian’s anger—every time this woman cried, he became the sinner, and suddenly everything was his fault.
"Alright, alright, stop crying. You’re making a flood..."
In Adrian’s memory, Sienna rarely cried. But now, she cried at the slightest provocation, inexplicably and tragically, as if he’d betrayed and abandoned her.
"Stop crying! If you dare to cry again, I’ll strip you naked right here and fuck you!"
That was a powerful deterrent, and Sienna immediately stopped crying.
She steadied her emotions, choking and gasping as if she’d suffered considerable injustice. It took her a while to calm down.
Adrian straightened her clothes and waited until she was completely done crying before holding her as they exited.
Sienna buried her face in his chest, worried that someone might see her.
This was the first time in her life that she had entered a men’s bathroom.
Seeing her mood stabilized, Adrian finally asked, "What’s been bothering you today? I only said a few words, and you started crying like that."
"I’m in a bad mood."
How could she tell him? Earlier, at the Desmond family’s home, she had received a call from Melanie. On the phone, Melanie had cursed and insulted her, calling her a homewrecker and accusing her of stealing her man. And all because Melanie had once been his fiancée, and Sienna had met Adrian later than Melanie had.
"You have such a temper now. I only said a few things, and you started crying like your husband had died."
"Adrian!" Sienna felt a sudden pang in her chest, a sharp pain. No matter how much she resented him, how angry she was at him, she couldn’t bear to hear those words.
"What’s wrong?"
"Who curses themselves like that? Watch your words!" she snapped angrily.
Adrian pinched her cheek, smirking. "I knew you cared about me and couldn’t bear to see me die."
"I’m not talking to you anymore!"
"I won’t die. You’re so beautiful, how could I bear it?" he whispered in her ear, laughing wickedly. "I haven’t had enough of you yet."
Sienna kicked him, annoyed at his inappropriate words.
"Can’t we not argue?"
"You’re the one who wants to argue with me!"
"The way that woman looks at you, I can tell she has ulterior motives. Don’t tell me she’s a woman; women can fall in love with other women these days. Don’t let her touch you or see her—I get jealous too."
"I know," she mumbled begrudgingly.
KNOCK KNOCK! The restroom door was knocked on loudly. The person outside sounded desperate.
"Is anyone in there? I need to use the bathroom. I can’t hold it any longer!"
"No one’s in here!"
Sienna was left speechless.
When the couple returned, twenty minutes had already passed.
Adrian sat down across from her, a redwood table separating them. Various snacks were spread out on the table, and Sienna nibbled on nuts while listening to the opera, her mood stabilizing.
She reflected on her own lack of composure, allowing a single phone call from Melanie to upset her so much. Melanie, however, had clearly learned how to pinpoint her vulnerabilities.
"What is she singing?" Adrian asked, curious as he saw Sienna intently listening to the opera.
The woman on stage was dressed beautifully, her posture graceful. Her long sleeves swirled like blossoms as she moved. He could occasionally make out a few words, but he couldn’t understand the story she was singing.
"The Romance of West Chamber."
"What’s the story about?"
"It’s about the love story between a poor scholar and a young rich lady..."
Adrian raised an eyebrow, his gaze on Sienna filled with a deeper meaning, his thoughts unreadable.
"What’s the ending? Does the poor scholar end up with the rich young lady?"
