The Best Point Guard-Chapter 56: Asking for Feedback and Recommendations
We’re about to enter the NBA and begin the main storyline.
So, I’m posting this special note.
I think the framework for this book is pretty solid, and the starting point is fitting: entering the NBA alongside James and Antonio. There have been a lot of other books set in the same era recently. While I can hardly claim mine is the best, it will definitely have its own unique style. My fans know that when I get serious, I can be quite talented... Hahahaha, if I do say so myself.
But, of course, there are bound to be some flaws. After all, I haven’t written in two or three years.
If there are any parts of the book so far that you think are poorly written, or if you have any ideas—like for future team-building strategies—please point them out. I will make revisions, absorb the feedback, and adopt your suggestions.
Also, feel free to tell me about any recent trends. I’ve read a few similar novels lately, and it seems like making fun of James is popular?
I welcome everyone’s opinions and ideas. Let’s brainstorm together.
In fact, I’ve already received a lot of great suggestions for the earlier parts and have made many changes. (I even rewrote the beginning completely.)
And while you’re at it, could you help me spread the word?
I’m counting on you all.
This time, I’m truly returning as a newcomer, without creating a new pen name.
How should I put this...
It’s about facing things bravely, and also ’atonement’.
To change the negative image from my past through concrete actions.
’Pretty brave of me.’
P.S. This afternoon, I saw a reader comment that my writing style is similar to my old works, referencing a popular thread about Chapter 2 or 3. But I’m here to tell you all that my approach this time is completely different. This book follows a "Dihua" path (where the protagonist is constantly being overestimated), features unconventional progression, and focuses on a long-form plot rather than an episodic face-slapping model. I’ve also intentionally tried to avoid the usual basketball novel clichés to keep from repeating myself. I reread it myself this afternoon, and aside from a few Chapters in the middle where the emotional beats didn’t quite land, I think the rest is quite interesting. The protagonist’s personality has been established, and his character will become even more distinct as the upcoming plot unfolds. The story will definitely get more exciting from here on out.
