Chapter 81: Discipline me later in the bed

"Throw away all the wine bottles from the mansion. No one shall give the wine to Radulf without asking me," Zenna instructed the gathered chief servants.

"She thinks she is supreme," one of them said in a hushed tone.

"After our Alpha’s return, she started thinking too highly of herself," another one said in a low voice. As they giggled among themselves, Zenna clenched her fists.

"Why don’t you two step forward, Miss Sera and Hannah?" Zenna glared at them. They both stepped up, wondering what she had to say.

"How long have you been working here?" Zenna inquired.

"For more than ten years, Luna," Sera replied.

"Then, it’s time for you both to leave this mansion. We no longer need your services. You can meet Mrs. Mabel later. She will clear your due payment for this month up till today. Thank you for your services all this time. You two no longer belong to this pack."

She never kicked out such servants whenever they looked down at her. The reason was simple. Zenna treated them as a part of the Shadow Hunter Pack, a family. She felt someday they would stop looking down on her. However, it never happened.

"Please, forgive us, Luna," Hannah pleaded.

"Pia, show them their way out to Mrs. Mabel’s office," Zenna stated and walked away, not forgiving them this time. It was a lesson for other servants, too, so that they wouldn’t dare to provoke their Luna in the future.

Sera and Hannah gazed at each other. "What will we do now?" Hannah asked her.

"Let’s meet the Alpha. He will not let us go," Sera suggested. The two of them headed to visit Radulf, who was resting in his quarters.

"Please, ask Alpha Radulf if we would like to see him," Sera said. "We are the chief servants in the pack," she informed the guards at the door.

The guards exchanged glances with each other before one of them went inside.

"Alpha, two chief servants have requested your audience," the guard informed him, breaking his concentration.

"Send them in," Radulf said.

The guard bowed and walked out to deliver the message to both of them. Sera and Hannah were delighted to learn that Radulf allowed them to meet him. Both of them made a haste and went inside.

"Greetings to our lord, Alpha Radulf," they both said in unison, showing their respect.

"Speak. I don’t have much time to waste on the servants," Radulf said, not leaving his gaze from the document.

Hannah gazed at Sera, who gave her a reassuring glance and began, "Alpha, we both have been working for this pack for over ten years. However, today Luna Zenna kicked us out without giving any explanation. This pack is like our home. We merely did not follow what Luna wanted from us. She instructed us chief servants not to give wine to you without her permission. Isn’t that wrong?"

"So, what should I do about it?" Radulf finally tore his gaze from the document and looked at them.

"Alpha, please don’t make us leave this pack. We merely wanted to serve you. Luna Zenna can’t order us something of which you don’t approve," Hannah said this time.

Just then, Zenna entered with Pia, who was holding a tray in her hands. Both of them were shocked to see Sera and Hannah. "Keep it on the table," Zenna instructed Pia while she stopped near the sofa to look at the chief servants.

"What are you both doing here?" Zenna questioned.

"They are here with your complaint," Radulf said. "You instructed them not to give me wine without your permission, which they didn’t like," he pronounced with a mused smile. He couldn’t believe that even the servants didn’t respect Zenna. Was it because of him?

Standing up, Radulf closed the distance between him and Zenna. He hung his arm loosely on her shoulder and gazed at her. "Should I kill them for complaining about you?"

Zenna’s eyes widened as she tilted her head to look at him. "How could you say brazenly about taking someone’s life?" she murmured.

"Because they don’t respect you," Radulf said. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Both Sera and Hannah got on their knees, begging for Radulf’s mercy. "Please forgive us. We didn’t mean to–"

"Stay quiet!" Radulf’s voice roared in the room. "I didn’t ask you to speak up," he said, almost growling.

Pia, on the other hand, smiled because Radulf was finally protecting Zenna. "Many of the servants don’t respect our Luna," she pronounced, wanting Radulf to know what Zenna suffered behind his back. "Most of them mock the luna."

"Pia, don’t," Zenna gestured to her to remain silent.

"Then, they all should be punished," Radulf said.

"Don’t do that," Zenna stated.

"Why? I should discipline the servants here, who looked down on you, Princess," Radulf asserted.

"Then, you need to discipline yourself too. You are the one who started it," Zenna remarked, moving away from him.

"You can discipline me later," Radulf said, taking a step close to her and leaning down to whisper in her ear, "In the bed."

Zenna looked at him in disbelief and felt strange under his piercing gaze.

"Pia, tell Victor to let these two go after they will be given twenty lashes each. No mercy shall be granted to them. And make sure that every servant witnesses it so that they can keep in mind what happens when they talk about my Luna and ridicule her," Radulf commanded. "Also, give me the name of the servants later, who never treated their Luna better."

"Yes, Alpha," Pia bowed to him and looked at Sera and Hannah. "Follow me. There’s no use begging anymore," she said sternly to them.

"Radulf, you don’t need to be this harsh," Zenna said.

"It’s important to be harsh," Radulf replied and went back to the sofa to sit on it. Sera and Hannah bowed to both of them before following Pia outside.

"So, now, my wife doesn’t want me to drink unless I get her permission," Radulf mused. "I hope she allows me to have her body every night to quench my thirst," he asserted with a smirk.

"You will drink tea instead of wine every morning. And you can’t have me unless you gain my trust," Zenna said, glaring at him.

"Hmm. Your trust? But why did you brighten your lips today with a red color? Don’t you want my attention on you? Did you like kissing me that much?" Radulf teased her.

Zenna gulped and felt the heat rising to her cheeks. She sat on the sofa chair and brewed the tea for him. "I didn’t do it for you. I did it for myself," she replied.

"Lie to someone else," Radulf said, watching her pour the tea into a cup.

"I’m not lying," Zenna affirmed and forwarded the cup to him while placing it above a saucer.

Radulf took it from her and sipped the tea slowly.

"Why didn’t you ever punish the servants for not treating you well? You had the authority," Radulf was curious to know.

"I consider them a part of this pack, a family. I believe they will eventually see my efforts. I expected the same from my husband too," Zenna replied, sipping the tea slowly.

Radulf was intrigued by her response. "Learn to be selfish for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with that. Not everyone in this pack is your family," he reminded her.

"Thank you for taking a stand for me," Zenna expressed her gratitude. Their eyes locked as she further spoke, "I thought you would not like that I kicked out two servants without your permission."

"You think so low of me. From the day I have returned, I tried to show the others that you are my one and only Luna," Radulf proclaimed.
