"Mamma... you have a baby there?" Zander asked when Iris and Cane informed the boys about her pregnancy.

Zander looked amazed, he pointed Iris’s belly and stared at it with his round eyes, while Zenith was sitting on Cane’s lap, he already knew about that, thus he didn’t have the same reaction like his sibling.

Currently they went to have this nice little picnic in their favorite place in the Goffa mountain, where the grass was as white as the cloud in the bright sky.

This almost like the image that Iris was dreamed of years ago during the battle.

"Yes." Iris nodded, she kissed his forehead. "Are you happy to have a new sibling?"

"But, I love Zen." Zander pointed Zenith, who snuggled against Cane’s chest.

"You can love Zen too." Iris put him on her lap.

"Owh, okay." Zander tilted his head and talked to Zenith. "I will play with you too, don’t worry."

From the look of it, Zenith didn’t have any slightest of worry, in fact, he would be grateful his brother had someone else to be dragged around.

"Do you want to feel the baby?" Iris asked and Zander’s eyes widened in surprised.

"The baby moved inside of you?"

Zenith looked interest too, he moved closer toward Iris and she helped her two sons to feel their sibling’s movement. She pressed their tiny palms against her belly and felt the baby’s movement.

The two of them were in awed, as they looked at each other, their expressions were very funny.

"But, mama... how can a baby be in your stomach? Someone put it inside?" Zander asked curiously.

"Well, you can say so." Iris blushed. She didn’t mean to have an idea about it, but she couldn’t help it. She wanted to drop the subject, but her son was still curious and didn’t want to let her off, while Cane was not a help at all.

"Mama, who put the baby inside your stomach?" Zander turned his body, he looked at his mother seriously. "Was that daddy? Did daddy put the baby? How he did that?"

Iris’s face turned even redder when she heard that, while Cane suppressed his laughter, until they heard Zenith spoke.

"Of course, daddy did put the baby inside of mommy."

"But, how?" Zander turned his attention to his twin sibling.

"You don’t know how?"

"You know?"

"Of course."

Iris and Cane asked at the same time, which made them tensed up. "You do?" Zenith nodded as a respond and then started to explain.

"They created the baby at night," Zenith said, which made blood drained from Iris and Cane’s face. They were sure no one was inside the room, let alone their son. The thought their son knew, mortified them. "They molded the baby like how Grilla made a cake and mama ate it."

Only when Zenith said the last statement that Cane and Iris visibly breathed in relief. He meant different from what they thought.

"Oh..." Zander tilted his head, it didn’t seem he understood, but he dropped the question, satisfied enough with his sibling’s explanation. He saw Grilla made a cake before. "My stomach also got big when I ate Grilla’s cake. Did I have a baby too?"

Cane and Iris could see a lot of questions started to form in Zenith’s mind and before he could ask more, Cane immediately stood up.

"Come, I will teach you how to swim."

In an instant, the question was forgotten and the two of them immediately took off their clothes, while Cane approached Iris and kissed her cheeks.

"That’s a close call," he said playfully and Iris laughed.

She watched as Cane joined his sons into the water, while she was sitting close by. She was currently four months pregnant and they only told their sons now.

Iris thought, she already knew what happiness was when she had Zander and Zenith, but what she felt right now was more than that. She loved her mate and her son, but with their additional family member, she knew that her love would only grow.

Within a few months from now, they would have a bundle of joy. A little girl. That was what Zenith said. A little girl to complete their family.

Later that day after they were done with their picnic, they went to go the burial place, visiting their girls and greeted their loved one, who had gone ahead of them.

After that, they had a nice dinner together, once the night came and the boys had fallen asleep, Cane and Iris finally had some alone time.

"So, what do you think how I put the baby inside you?" Cane teased Iris, as he kissed her neck and slowly undressed her.

Her pregnancy this time was easier than her previous ones, she didn’t feel morning sickness or any drastic change on her body, aside from feeling sleepy rather often.

One afternoon, when Iris was seven months pregnant, she went to Zenith’s bedroom and saw her son took a nap and this made her wanted to lay down too.

"Mommy...?" Zenith was woken up when Iris cuddled him, but when he saw it was his mother, he fell asleep again.

An hour later when the two of them had fallen asleep peacefully, Zander came inside after he played with Rye and Ezgar and found his mother and his twin on the bed.

He approached them. "I want a cuddle too." Zander climbed the bed and inserted himself between Iris and Zenith carefully, because there was his baby girl in his mother tummy.

In the end, the three of them slept throughout afternoon and when the evening came and Cane couldn’t find his mate and his sons, he started to ask about their whereabouts, because usually, Zander would come to visit his study room and Zenith would sneak in to sleep there, Iris would often come as well.

Yet, neither of them came to see him.

"They are currently sleeping in Zenith’s bedroom," Redmond said. Once again, he was here to remind Cane about something that he forgot. This was not the first time. "I think they have been sleeping for hours now."

Cane went to Zenith’s bedroom and found the three people that he loved the most sleeping peacefully. Zander had his legs on Zenith’s body and Cane came to rearrange his sleeping position.

In the end, he slept with them, as Zenith snuggled against him and Zander went to hug his mother. This was enough to shed off all of the tiredness from his day.

Days passed and then months, as the baby inside Iris grew bigger and stronger and was ready to meet with her brother that had been waiting to see her.

It was the afternoon autumn where the leaves had turned orange and the world looked like it covered in golden hues when Iris felt the first contraction.

Cane was immediately informed about it and Zander and Zenith came to see their mother too.

"Mommy, is the baby hurt you?" Zenith asked.

"No, the baby is only being impatient to see you two," Iris reassured him.

Zander then caressed her belly. "Don’t hurt mama, okay? Be good... be good..."

Cane kissed Iris’s forehead. "Are you, okay?"

"This is better than before," Iris said. This could be said the easiest pregnancy and she was sure they wouldn’t meet any problem during the process.

Iris was right, with the help of Penny, Hanna, Aliana and Grilla, they welcomed their new family member.

Cane was there to accompany Iris, while Joel and Finn calmed Zander and Zenith down when the two of them wanted to be in the room with their father and mother during the childbirth. Instead, they took them both for a walk until they were informed that Iris had given birth to a baby girl.

"She is beautiful," Cane said, as he held his baby girl for the first time. The baby was very clean, she cried so loud, as if she wanted to announce her existence to the world.

Cane was mesmerized to see this bundle of joy in his arms. The baby had red hair just like Iris, also her curls, you could tell that Iris had a little version of herself this time and Cane couldn’t stop smiling.

"Woah! She is so little!" Zander was surprised to see his little sister and Zenith pushed him aside to see the baby too.

"Mommy, she has your hair." Zenith pointed it out.

"Yes," Iris said with joy.

"She has golden eyes!" Zander widened his eyes when he saw the golden color. "It’s so beautiful."

"The two of you also have golden eyes when you were baby." Cane then told them about the golden eyes theory to them and they were fascinated.

"Will she have the color of eyes like us?" Zander asked Cane curiously.

"We will see in a few days," Cane replied.

Zenith touched the baby’s little hand and she grabbed it, as she brought his finger to her mouth. "No, my finger doesn’t have milk." He released his finger gently from her grip, but it was too tight. "Daddy... she doesn’t want to let me go."
