The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter-Chapter 991: BONUS - : FOUND HIM!
Chapter 991: BONUS Chapter: FOUND HIM!
"Mamamaama...." Zander nuzzled Iris’s neck happily, but Iris felt her blood drained from her face when she heard what happened with her other baby.
"What do you mean they went missing?!" Iris screeched, she scared Zander, as the baby stopped his rambling.
Cane immediately told her about what happened based on what Grilla and Joel told them. Currently, Finn was tracking down their baby and Lil Thing.
Before this, Lil Thing had never wandered around and if someone told Iris her one of the babies would go missing one day, her mind would think the baby must Zander, since Zenith was too passive to roam around on his own.
"I will go with the other warriors," Cane said. "I will find our baby, just go back with Zander."
Their only comfort was Lil Thing went with Zenith, but then how could that bear exert an effort to take their baby away when both of them were pretty similar on taking seriously on their napping time?
"No." Iris grabbed Cane’s hand, her expression looked very serious, which made Cane didn’t argue with her. "I will find him."
Cane furrowed his brows when he heard that. He was about to persuade her to go back when he remembered one thing. This was very important thing.
If there was someone, who could find their baby right away, it must be Iris.

Lil Thing nudged the baby to get on its back again, but the baby kept crawling on the velvety grass. Its body was covered with mud, as he stood up and started walking, but after a few steps he would continue crawling. freewēbnoveℓ.com
Zenith repeated the same process until he arrived at the forest.
"No. No. No..." Zenith said clearly, as he pushed Lil Thing’s muzzle away, because the bear blocked his way, but this time Lil Thing didn’t budge. They were so far from the pack house already and the bear needed to get this little one back to his crib.
Lil Thing let out frustrated growl, but it didn’t bother Zenith, the little boy pursed his lips.
"Baad, baad Ihl ..." Zenith was not scared at all. "Move... go..."
Lil Thing circled him, it didn’t mean to bring the baby too far, but he told it to keep going, thus it followed the order.
However, it would get scolded if it didn’t bring him back.
Zenith saw something that piqued his interest, this thing had woken him up from his sleep and kept telling him to come.
"Move! Move! Ihl bad!" Zenith tried to push Lil Thing. The baby became frustrated when the bear didn’t budge, it blocked his way from the subject that interested him and kept nudging him toward the opposite direction. "Move, pweese... move pweesee... Ihl goohd." Zenith tried different approach, but it didn’t work.
He was about to cry when he saw something else, something more interesting. These new subjects piqued his interest more and he stopped to push Lil Thing away.
In the end, Zenith sat there, rambling incoherently and laughed, as if someone played with him, while Lil Thing curled next to him.
This was the forest in Goffa mountain, Lil Thing was familiar with this area.
"Ishh... Ish..." Zenith babbled. "Ohaa... Taa, Ta..."
Lil Thing couldn’t bring him back, but at the very least, the baby didn’t walk further to the mountain and after half an hour, Zenith started to get tired, he yawned and curled himself next to Lil Thing.
The bear let the baby laid down on its stomach, whimpered because it didn’t know what to do now.
Thankfully, soon after, Lil Thing’s ear perked up. It smelled familiar scent and a second later the forest was surrounded by shifters. The king’s black beast was the first one that reached them, the queen was sitting on its back.
The sight reminded Lil Thing of how the queen used to sit on its back too.
If there was someone, who could tell the other person’s exact location within a few second, it must be Iris. She uncovered her new ability during the war.
"Zenith! Lil Thing!" Iris immediately got down from the beast’s back and scooped her baby. The king shifted back into his human form as well and followed his mate. He didn’t smell blood, which was a good sign.
Iris was freaking out when she saw her little one was covered in mud.
Relief only came to her when she checked on him and didn’t find anything that she needed to be worried about. Aside from being very dirty and got a few scratches on his knees, since he was too little and his healing ability had not yet developed really well, Zenith was perfectly fine.
Iris cried so hard when she got her baby back, while Cane hugged her from behind. On the other hand, Lil Thing pretended that it was dead. It didn’t move, closed its eyes.
However, Iris got down and scratched Lil Thing’s back. "Thank you for taking care of him."
===============================
It was still mystery about how Zenith could go out of his crib and how he could end up in the forest. What actually happened?
They didn’t believe Lil Thing tried to harm their babies. Something must be at play here.
"What do you think had happened?" Iris asked, she was being paranoid and asked someone to put the crib in their bedroom.
Joel, Finn and Grilla apologized profusely to them. They felt extremely dreadful for what happened to Zenith and admitted their wrongdoings for not protecting him well.
Finn couldn’t find Zenith, because of the mud that covered his and Lil Thing’s scent, but he met with the king and the queen on his way in the forest, where they found Zenith.
As the punishment, Joel and Finn would go into a deep training with Ethan, but Grilla only got a warning. She was supposed not to leave the room, but then at that time, the babies were sleeping and Lil Thing also the warriors were presence. She didn’t leave the baby alone and was thinking they were well protected.
And for Lil Thing, the bear was not allowed to enter the nursery room for a week. It didn’t allow to play with the babies, which made the bear let out this pitiful whimpered when they blocked its way to the nursery room, shaking their head.
"I am not sure." Cane tried various scenarios in his head, but none of them that made any sense.
Lil Thing couldn’t tell them what happened, while they couldn’t ask Zenith too. What happened today would remain as a mystery.

"Don’t you think he is too chubby for a fifteen months old baby?" Lou asked, nudging Zander’s chubby cheeks, as he was eating his food. The baby swatted the merchant’s finger from his face. "He needs to be on diet to get some muscles."
"Stop it," Aliana growled at him. "Don’t you feel any shame to bully a baby?" he swatted Lou’s hand away, when he kept touching Zander.
Lou just returned from one of his meetings with those boring merchant from Karam continent and found Aliana, Hanna and the babies, having this little picnic under the shadow of the tree.
He had seen these twins often and was surprised to see how they grew up. From that wrinkles things to this chubby creatures.
"I am only saying the fact." Lou shrugged his shoulders.
"They are healthy. It is very rich coming from you, who doesn’t even spend a minute to exercise," Hanna chimed in and this time, Lou raised both of his arms. He was not going to continue this silly argumentation.
"What is he doing there?" Lou frowned at Zenith, who was playing alone, talking to invisible friends.
"Haven’t you seen a baby playing?"
Lou furrowed his brows, he glanced at Lil Thing, who was curling itself next to Zenith, he was deep in thought when this crazy idea actually flitted his mind. "Ah!" He got this theory and immediately rushed to talk about this with Cane.
What happened to Zenith two weeks ago really shook the entire pack, since the king put guards around the forest and patrolled around the mountain too, just in case they caught something unusual.
He was not going to let the same thing happened for the second time.
However, when he arrived at Cane’s study room, it was even better because Iris was also there.
"Iris, I missed you!" Lou was still with his antics, even after everything that changed, he didn’t.
Yet, before he could approach Iris, Redmond slapped him with a bunch of parchment. "There, the report and the deal with the merchant from Karam."
Lou glared at Redmond and put down the stack of parchment on the table, as he declared. "I think I know what happened to your baby."
"What?" Cane narrowed his eyes, waiting for what nonsense this merchant was going to say. This merchant was useful, despite how annoying he could be. Therefore, he didn’t outright kill him whenever he was being an ass.
Cane was contemplating to send him out of the capital city.
Lou then explained that there was a chance that the baby inherited Iris’s ability to see spirit, or whatever it was. After all, Iris had two birthrights.
"After all, the twin was conceived when the two of you had those strange souls within you." He came to this conclusion after he watched how Zenith played by himself. "You said it that your grandfather had unique bloodline, something about spirit if I recalled."
"It only passed down to girl," Iris reminded him, but Lou just shrugged.
"Only a theory."
