Chapter 2045: Chapter 2045: So Unlucky (4)

However, their hearts were tense to the extreme, but Daisy Deacon, who was walking ahead, strolled leisurely, as if she didn’t care about being followed at all, everything seemed extremely calm.

Gavin stood in his place, only turning around and leaving after they were gone.

At the deepest end of this corridor, there was a sealed captivity room filled with all sorts of unexpected torture devices. It used to be where they brutally interrogated the "traitors," "undercover agents," and "sinners" of the Red Revolution Army. But now, there was only one woman inside.

As Gavin reached the end of the corridor and pushed open the door, a sliver of light pierced into the completely enclosed captivity room. The woman tied to the chair in the middle was shrouded in dim light, her silhouette slightly clearer.

Feeling the figure returning, Flossie Wright didn’t even bother to open her eyes, knowing without guessing who had walked in.

She couldn’t understand how this man was so full of energy. According to her estimation of time, it had almost been twenty hours, yet this man had been by her side the entire time.

Occasionally, there were tortures.

Yet not a single question was asked, no attempt to extract any information.

It was as if torturing her was his pleasure. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

One thing Flossie couldn’t comprehend was that Gavin sent so many people, willing for them all to be annihilated, but the true target was actually her.

Going through so much trouble to kidnap her, the sole purpose was to torment?

While Flossie’s mind was spinning with thoughts, Gavin had already walked in through the door.

With a wave of his hand, he had the door shut by someone outside.

Gavin turned on the dim light inside the captivity room.

This time, he selected the simplest whip from the array of torture tools.

The simplest whip, without any embellishments, and devoid of life-crushing little designs.

Hearing footsteps drawing nearer, Flossie finally lifted her head, her closed eyes half-opening to reveal a thin slit, as she looked at Gavin approaching, a mocking curve tugging at her blood-stained lips.

"Here again?"

The two low words, slightly weak, yet couldn’t hide the coldness within.

From morning till now, she had endured various tortures, hands and feet unable to move, each cut, some slashed, some burnt, some nailed. Initially, to distract herself, she counted her wounds over and over, but eventually ran out of energy, becoming numb to the pain, which was when she wisely chose to give it up.

She had never undergone any torture before.

Even in the harshest times, she had never experienced such things.

But, the Forces had systems that taught them how to withstand "coercive interrogations," learning progressively from shallow to deep. Of course, this theoretical knowledge was useless here because Gavin had never pried any information from her; he was perverse in that he wanted only to see her suffer.

The only help the Forces’ teachings provided her was feeling the difference between textbook knowledge and real experience.

However, by the time she endured until the afternoon, it practically made no difference.

It was too painful.

Painful as if she were on the brink of death at any moment.

She had an ordinary body, perhaps more agile and flexible than most, but the pain was still the same, only she didn’t appear as miserable.

"Heh," Gavin chuckled lowly, stepping forward, gripping her chin fiercely with his fingers, "Still awake, strong will power."
