The crowd was in awe, as if they had just seen a celestial being. It was the first time any of them had witnessed someone possessing three kinds of Spiritual Fire, a simply unbelievable sight.

"Get out of my way!" Huo Lingzi announced, advancing with an overpowering presence. The crowd scrambled to step aside, not daring to oppose him. A smile curled Huo Lingzi’s lips as he strode forward, feeling like an emperor on a royal procession.

Just then, however, he frowned. He noticed a figure up ahead who hadn’t moved. Huo Lingzi’s expression darkened. Who is this? Does he have a death wish? He’s not making way for me? Is he challenging me?

"Hmph, some people are truly reckless," Huo Lingzi sneered.

The onlookers were baffled. Staring at the lone figure, they began to whisper amongst themselves.

"Who is this kid?"

"Is he actually challenging Huo Lingzi? He must be insane!"

"Just watch, he’s doomed."

"His fate will be miserable."

This figure was, of course, Lin Xuan.

Give way to Huo Lingzi? What a joke. He’s just a defeated opponent. I couldn’t care less about him.

Lin Xuan ignored him and continued toward the Heaven Ascending Road. He wanted to feel for himself just how strong the flames on it were.

"Kid, are you tired of living? I told you to move. Are you deaf?" Huo Lingzi snarled, stepping up behind Lin Xuan. He raised his hand, intending to strike him down.

At that moment, Lin Xuan turned his head and said icily, "Shut up and get lost."

Huo Lingzi was livid. He was always held in high regard; who would dare to berate him like this? He was about to strike, but when he saw the person’s face, he froze solid. Lin Xuan! It’s actually Lin Xuan! Every hair on his body stood on end. Terrified, he instantly stumbled back more than ten steps.

What just happened? The onlookers were stunned. This was completely different from what they had expected. In their minds, Lin Xuan should have been flattened with a single slap and trampled under Huo Lingzi’s foot. Yet, in reality, Lin Xuan had only uttered a short command, and Huo Lingzi had actually scrambled away.

"What, it’s him! That Young Pill King?" the people from the Ten Thousand Flames Sect gasped in astonishment.

"Should we join forces to suppress him?" These people were all eager to seize the Anomalous Fire from Lin Xuan.

Huo Lingzi, however, said, "He’s on the Heaven Ascending Road. There’s an Array there, so we’d better not make a move yet. Let’s focus on getting the Treasure in the palace at the summit first. It won’t be too late to deal with this kid after we’ve secured the Treasure."

"Alright," the other disciples nodded. They then all headed towards the Heaven Ascending Road. This time, however, none of them dared to make a move against Lin Xuan; even Huo Lingzi himself walked right around him.

Some couldn’t withstand the pressure and were forced to retreat after just a few seconds. Others advanced slowly, their legs trembling uncontrollably with every single step.

Huo Lingzi, however, was completely at ease. The three flames swirling around him formed a tri-colored Battle Armor. He strode forward boldly, and in the blink of an eye, he had already ascended more than ten steps, leaving the crowd far behind. The people below looked up, marveling at the sight. Huo Lingzi was truly a monster.

Behind Huo Lingzi were the other geniuses of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect, who were also quite powerful. As they climbed, they kept glancing back at Lin Xuan.

One of them stopped in his tracks. "Why is that kid still on the first step? He hasn’t moved at all."
