Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids-Chapter 270: Confidential!
The conference room door was open. As Mo Jingchun and Xia Xiaomin entered, they saw that the room was already crowded.
It seemed like almost everyone had arrived.
At least in the brief moment Mo Jingchun stood at the door, no employees were coming in or out.
Mo Jingchun only paused at the doorway for a moment, and the once noisy conference room quickly quieted down.
Are you kidding me? In the entire company, there’s probably only one person who dares to directly defy the boss.
And that person is Candy, who is adored by everyone.
After Mo Jingchun and Xia Xiaomin sat on the podium, they didn’t start speaking right away.
The meeting was scheduled for 14:30, which meant it naturally couldn’t start early.
Xia Xiaomin occasionally glanced at the watch on her hand until 14:29...
Xia Xiaomin tapped the microphone to test the sound.
After confirming the microphone was working, Xia Xiaomin started speaking:
"Please clock in so we can count the number of attendees."
A minute later, Xia Xiaomin whispered in the boss’s ear,
"Boss, 1,000 should be here, 1,000 actually present."
"Alright." Mo Jingchun nodded.
Turning on the microphone, Mo Jingchun directly said:
"Good afternoon, everyone."
Applause erupted from the audience.
Li Xuanyu in the crowd joined in the enthusiastic applause.
Though it felt like a formality, Mo Jingchun truly appreciated it.
Mo Jingchun smiled and said, "I believe everyone’s feeling quite happy right now."
"Why?"
"Well, it all starts with calculus."
"Hahaha." The crowd beneath burst into laughter.
The boss’s words really struck a chord with them.
Back in college, studying calculus seemed difficult, yet it was understandable.
Even achieving high scores in final exams wasn’t much of a problem.
But after dealing with the mathematical issues encountered in industrial software, they realized that what they learned in college calculus courses was just the basics.
In fact, the software development industry itself is enough to make one go bald, not to mention the torment of advanced math; avoiding baldness seems nearly impossible.
The biggest realization for everyone in the past month is that after every shower, the drain always gets clogged with hair.
Mo Jingchun gradually put away his smile, his face growing serious.
"If you know each other well, you’ll realize each of you here is a key developer in your agile development teams."
"Do you all know what this implies?"
"That’s right; it implies you will face even tougher challenges!"
After saying this, Mo Jingchun nodded to Xia Xiaomin.
Xia Xiaomin, who got up, distributed confidentiality agreements that were already moved into the conference room in the morning.
On stage, Mo Jingchun, watching the busy Xia Xiaomin, said into the microphone:
"Pass it to the back, everyone."
"Once you have the confidentiality agreement, read it carefully."
The employees at the back who hadn’t received their agreements yet felt their hearts race.
My goodness, what kind of project requires a printed confidentiality agreement?
In all these years, it’s the first time encountering such a situation.
"Alright, those who’ve signed can bring their agreements to Secretary Xia."
"I hope you all realize the importance of confidentiality."
Over a dozen minutes later, with employees’ help, Xia Xiaomin finished counting all the agreements.
"Boss, it’s done."
Mo Jingchun nodded slightly.
"Everyone, there should be a new receive folder on your computer desktop."
"I’m giving everyone three days to familiarize yourself with the information in it."
Mo Jingchun raised an eyebrow, smiling slightly, and said:
"Oh, speaking of which, let me give everyone a friendly reminder."
"From today onwards, no computer is allowed to be taken out of this office building without permission."
"Remember, I said ’this office building,’ not the whole technology park."
"As for plugging in USB drives, I shouldn’t have to say more, right?"
The meeting continued until well past 5:40 PM.
When all the employees emerged from the conference room, gone was the usual laughter and cheer.
Instead, there was a palpable sense of pressure.
The employees returned to their workstations and were soon surrounded.
"What new project are you developing?"
"Confidential."
"Why do you look so unhappy?"
"Confidential."
"What did the boss say in the meeting?"
"Confidential."
......
No matter how others probed, those who had just come out of the meeting room ignored them, focusing on arranging the items on their desks.
Starting tomorrow, to facilitate communication and confidentiality, the 1,000-person development team will all move to work on the 12th floor.
The kindergarten lets out around 5 PM every day.
With the teacher’s help, Candy, with a small backpack, happily skipped towards her brother’s office.
Not to mention, she really missed her brother after not seeing him for half a day.
"La la la... la la la, I’m a little news vendor."
"Waiting not for dawn to deliver papers... walking while calling..."
Along the way, Candy hummed the nursery rhyme taught by her teacher today.
Candy was the smartest in her class, being the only one to learn the whole song.
The other classmates could only hum the out-of-tune "la la la la la la..."
However, when she reached the office, ready to perform the new song for her brother,
she found not a single person in the office.
Even Sister Xia Xiaomin was nowhere to be seen.
The little one pouted unhappily.
"Hmph! ╭(╯^╰)╮"
"Zero, where did brother run off to?"
"In the conference room."
Hearing ’conference room,’ the little one shook her head.
When the meeting ended, and Mo Jingchun had the agreements moved into the archive room, he returned to the office with Xia Xiaomin.
Just before entering, Mo Jingchun heard the little one singing.
And it was the famous song about the news vendor that everyone knew.
Softening his footsteps, Mo Jingchun and Xia Xiaomin entered the office quietly.
The little one was sitting on the carpet, her back to the door, playing with toys and continually humming the vendor’s song.
While singing, she mixed up the lyrics without realizing it.
Mo Jingchun’s lips curled into a slight smile as he gently cleared his throat.
"Ahem ahem~"
The singing inside the office came to an abrupt stop.
The little one turned her head and saw her brother standing behind her, exclaiming:
"Ah! When did you come back, brother?"
Mo Jingchun didn’t answer his sister’s question, instead laughingly asked:
"Did the teacher teach Guoguo to sing today?"
"Uh-huh." The little one nodded vigorously.
"It’s so nice, Guoguo, sing it for me, okay?"
With those expectant little eyes, how could Mo Jingchun refuse?
"Alright."
"Guoguo, sing it for brother."
Mo Jingchun sat on the sofa, listening intently, acting as an exclusive audience for the little one.
