Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids-Chapter 227: Did We Branch Off the Tech Tree?
"Brother, what are you doing?"
"Huh? Nothing much."
"Weird." Candy, with foam coming out of her mouth, looked at her brother with a strange expression.
At this moment, Mo Jingchun was completely immersed in the system lottery interface’s big wheel.
"Ding~"
"Congratulations to the host for a stroke of luck, winning a trinary computer!"
"Congratulations, would the host like to claim the reward now?"
"No!"
Mo Jingchun opened his eyes, unable to hide the joy within them.
Even though the reward hadn’t been claimed, Mo Jingchun knew this time was truly a stroke of fantastic luck.
Although there was only one reward, a trinary computer.
But to create a complete trinary computer, there are many internal electronic components involved.
Suffice it to say, just the electronic chips for the trinary computer are worth the investment.
Not to mention, any computer inevitably includes critical components like memory and hard drives.
"Guoguo."
"Hmm? What’s up, brother?"
"Brother has a bit of a headache, going to lie down for a bit. Don’t run around, okay?"
"Oh!" The little one pouted displeasedly.
Brother obviously just wants to sleep a bit longer, yet he finds an excuse saying he has a headache.
Hmph!
Guoguo had already figured it out.
Seeing her brother leaving the bathroom, Candy’s eyes shifted.
Since brother’s gone to sleep, hee hee (*∩_∩*).
Guoguo will go have a nap later too.
On the bed, Mo Jingchun had just lain down when he mentally whispered to the system:
"System, claim knowledge of the trinary computer."
The next second, a flood of information poured into Mo Jingchun’s mind.
Quickly, under the self-protection of his brain, Mo Jingchun directly entered a deep sleep state.
In the dream, Mo Jingchun looked at the system-injected data, nearly cursing it aloud.
To think he was so happy, only to find it was all for nothing.
The reward drawn was indeed a trinary computer, but the technical data from the system was only concerning the initial manufacturing phase of a trinary computer.
The chip of the trinary computer alone was 128 nanometers, can you believe it!
It’s as though the system merely lit up a new branch on the technology tree for Mo Jingchun.
Where the endpoint of future trinary computers lies still requires Mo Jingchun to lead a team to research on their own!
At that moment, it was as if humanity’s computer research had reverted back to the last century.
But the system’s evaluation at the end of the data made Mo Jingchun calm down.
"Binary computers have become the standard of the human world, but is binary truly the right direction? Is it not possible that humanity has chosen the wrong branch on the technology tree?" - System
If someone else said this, Mo Jingchun might have just laughed it off.
However, the system’s evaluation is something Mo Jingchun must take seriously.
Could it be that humanity has indeed chosen the wrong branch on the technology tree?
This is worth pondering.
Especially since AI at present remains at an impasse.
Waking up, Mo Jingchun sighed. The path of the trinary computer, to walk it, is easy.
But to walk it through, hard! Hard! Hard!
It’s not just difficult to advance from the existing data.
What’s tougher is, even if Candy Technology spends a lot of manpower, resources, and money to develop a trinary computer with the same computing power as today’s models.
Who would be willing to pay for it?
Without an ecosystem, even if a trinary computer is placed there, it wouldn’t serve much of a purpose.
Without researching trinary computers, humanity may continue to progress on the current technology tree.
Ultimately exhausting Blue Star’s resources without breakthrough, unable to become a Type I civilization.
What is a Type I civilization?
A Type I civilization is a planetary civilization where life can fully utilize or store all the energy of their planet.
Or in other words, they can completely harness the energy provided by their host star.
For humanity at this stage, it is still too distant.
Throwing these thoughts aside, Mo Jingchun decided to wait until he got to the office to check some information on the computer before making any plans.
Researching trinary computers also requires personnel and long-term investment of substantial funds.
One slip, and Candy Technology, the building just established, could come crashing down.
This is no exaggeration, don’t consider Candy Technology’s bank balance, but the company spends money like an open tap.
Not to mention in a few days, when the supercomputer arrives, given Zero’s level of tinkering, the daily electricity costs will be substantial.
As for whether this small town can supply such a large amount of electricity, Mo Jingchun wasn’t worried.
As a joke, there’s a large hydroelectric reservoir just outside the town.
Mo Jingchun rolled over and saw Candy tiptoeing, ready to sneak into bed.
The little one had even learned to take off her coat.
"Ahem~"
A couple of coughs made the little one’s movements come to an abrupt halt.
Candy turned her head and met Mo Jingchun’s eyes.
Her small eyes were filled with innocence.
"Let’s go, have breakfast."
The little one sighed lightly, "Okay."
Just as they went downstairs, a dagger darted out from some corner.
Candy, who was as tall as the dagger, watched Big Black run over, and happily reached out to pet Big Black’s head.
"Big Black, where’s Bun?"
As soon as Candy spoke, the dagger barked and then turned around to hop away.
As Mo Jingchun was about to continue taking Candy towards the canteen, Candy pointed in the direction behind Mo Jingchun, exclaiming:
"Look, brother!"
Mo Jingchun turned around and saw the dagger carrying Bun by the neck, sprinting over.
And Bun wasn’t resisting at all.
That’s just ridiculous.
The dagger laid Bun down at Candy’s feet, its tail wagging like a little windmill.
That look of seeking approval was blatantly obvious.
"Big Black, you’re amazing."
Freed Bun shook the fur on its body, taking small relaxed strides toward the osmanthus tree.
"Let’s go, have breakfast."
"Alrighty."
After Mo Jingchun took Candy away, the dagger looked at Bun lazily lying under the osmanthus tree, then at the distant Candy.
The next moment, the dagger ran silently back under the osmanthus tree, picking up Bun once again.
In the observation hall, the trainer only glanced as the dagger brought the big orange cat back again.
After breakfast, Mo Jingchun and Candy arrived at the office and began their respective activities.
The little one sat amidst a pile of toys, playing with a variety of them.
Meanwhile, Mo Jingchun sat in front of the computer, looking at the data Zero had gathered online about trinary computers.
