Chapter 356 - Team Rocket’s Second-in-Command! [356] [30 PS]
With Sabrina handling the battle on Gyarados's side, Luo Yuan focused entirely on Guzma.
While Guzma might seem arrogant and overconfident, Luo Yuan had to admit the man had some skill.

"Ariados, Poison Sting!" Guzma ordered, wasting no time as he saw Luo Yuan dare to split his attention.
Ariados opened its jaws wide, spitting a barrage of poisonous needles that rained down over Mimikyu and Luo Yuan.
"You think a move like that will work on me? You're underestimating me," Luo Yuan said casually.
Before he could issue a command, Mimikyu acted on its own.
A Shadow Claw emerged from beneath Mimikyu, sweeping forward and gathering all the incoming Poison Stings into its grasp.
With a flick of its shadowy appendage, Mimikyu hurled the needles back at Guzma.
Caught off guard, Guzma awkwardly jumped and twisted in place, narrowly avoiding the counterattack.
"You're really starting to annoy me," Guzma growled, placing a hand on his belt.
Realizing Ariados wasn't enough to handle Mimikyu, Guzma decided it was time to bring out his ace.
"Go, Golisopod!"
A flash of white light revealed a towering figure clad in armor-like scales. With its sharp black claws and imposing stance, the Bug- and Water-type Pokémon exuded an air of unwavering strength.
"So now it's two-on-one?" Luo Yuan remarked, shaking his head. "The world of Pokémon battles has really changed."
He sighed theatrically. "Once upon a time, I was the one who'd pull a two-on-one. It worked like a charm. But now? Everyone I face is even more shameless than me. Is this moral decay, or just the collapse of common decency?"
Guzma's Pokémon worked seamlessly together.
Ariados used String Shot to restrict Mimikyu's movement, while Golisopod charged forward, aiming directly for Luo Yuan himself.
Clearly, Guzma understood the principle of targeting the Trainer when battling their Pokémon proved too difficult.
Luo Yuan, however, remained unfazed. Not only could his psychic powers allow him to teleport at will, but even without them, he had enough Pokémon at his disposal to make any direct assault futile.
"Dragonite, take over," Luo Yuan said, casually tossing a Poké Ball.
A roar echoed across the beach as Dragonite emerged from its ball, its towering frame radiating power. Without hesitation, it swung a massive arm toward Golisopod.
BAM!
A clash of titanic force erupted as Dragonite's Mega Punch collided with Golisopod's First Impression.
The resulting shockwave kicked up sand and wind, but the outcome was clear within moments.
Despite its fierce entrance, Golisopod was sent flying by the sheer force of Dragonite's punch. It skidded across the ground, leaving deep gouges in the sand.
Even with the power boost from First Impression, Golisopod couldn't match Dragonite's raw strength.
It wasn't surprising. Few Pokémon could compete with the immense physical power of a giant Dragonite.
Were it not for Golisopod's exceptional defenses, it might not have survived the blow at all.
"Tch... So close," Guzma muttered, frustrated. If the ambush had worked, the battle would've been over.
As Guzma lamented his failed tactic, the battle between Mimikyu and Ariados reached a turning point.
Mimikyu launched a Shadow Ball, forcing Ariados to dodge. While Ariados was distracted, a shadowy claw emerged from the ground, reaching upward to strike.
Guzma's experience shone through, however, as he quickly devised a countermeasure.
"Ariados, String Shot at the palm tree!"
Thwip!
Ariados shot a web to anchor itself to a nearby tree, using the tension to swing out of the claw's reach just in time.
Guzma's face broke into a triumphant grin.
But Luo Yuan's playful smirk wiped it away.
"Celebrating already? You're forgetting this isn't a one-on-one fight."
No sooner had Luo Yuan spoken than a blur of orange streaked across the battlefield.
With the speed of a freight train, Dragonite used Extreme Speed to charge straight into Ariados, slamming it with overwhelming force.
Ariados, caught entirely off guard, was sent hurtling through the air, tumbling to the ground far from the battlefield.
The outcome was clear: Ariados was unable to continue fighting.
Team Skull's leader stood frozen, the earlier confidence on his face now replaced with disbelief.
"You..." Guzma growled, fists clenching.
He wanted to accuse Luo Yuan of fighting dirty but stopped himself.
After all, wasn't he the one who had started the two-on-one in the first place?
So the clown... was me all along, Guzma realized with a bitter laugh.
Still, losing Ariados didn't mean he was out of options. It had only been a supporting Pokémon, meant to control the field. The real fight was just beginning.
His expression hardened as he sent out his next Pokémon.
"Go, Vikavolt!"
Electric arcs danced across Vikavolt's powerful jaws as it took its position on the battlefield.
A Bug- and Electric-type Pokémon, Vikavolt excelled in long-range attacks, complementing Golisopod's role as a melee tank.
With both Pokémon ready, Guzma launched his coordinated assault.
"Vikavolt, Thunderbolt! Golisopod, Razor Shell!"
A crackling surge of golden electricity streaked toward Dragonite, while Golisopod closed in on Mimikyu with its shimmering blades.
However, Luo Yuan's next move left Guzma on the verge of snapping.
