Tang San's Twin Sister-Chapter 140
Tang Yin stepped towards the seahorse douluo and looked at him. "Go ahead."
He bowed down and felt a cold shiver run down his spine. A silver moon with red markings was drawn on her temple. "This is not the sea god's sign, " he muttered. "This is from a god far older."
She looked at him, startled.
"What do you mean?" She asked him.
"This is from an older god. There is the sea god, the angel god, and many gods in this world. This is not the mark of the sea god, or I believe just a part of it, " he said, and she blinked.
"So basically?"
"You are completing the sea god test and those of another god." A voice answered, and Tang Yin turned to see a woman with deep silvery ocean-blue hair and eyes. She wore a long-sleeved red and white dress, her skin spotless, and Tang Yin honestly admitted to herself.
Never had she seen a woman more graceful.
"Not a circumstance I ever expected to encounter." The woman elegantly stepped on the platform they were standing on. "I am the head flamen Bo Saixi. May I enquire about you two?"
Tang Yin nodded and put forward her best manners. "I am vice Master of the Tang Sect, Tang Yin. This is my friend. Yu Hua."
Yu Hua bowed in response as Bo Saixi nodded at him before turning to Tang Yin. "Tang...are you maybe related to the clear sky clan?" She asked her, and Yin nodded. "Yes."
Her gaze turned sad, almost as if she wanted to cry. "No one has ever lived with your martial spirit. It is too strong; it destroys its user's body, that you are alive. It is bordering on a miracle, Miss Tang. You do not have much time. Maybe the only reason you are still alive is thanks to the trong bloodrunning through your veins."
Tang Yin shrugged. "I don't mind; I've made it well enough until now and my blood has mightly little to do with it. I never met anyone from clear sky." Then she looked upwards at Bo Saixi. "I hoped for you to have a solution for it. My current one is only half working."
"I understand," Bo Saixi sighed. "May I see the damage?" she asked, and Tang Yin hesitated. She was never bothered to speak about her situation, but she showed that it was different.
"I'd prefer not to, " she said and shifted her weight. "I do have to endurer the sea gods light. Where would I find that?"
She shifted the topic. It was apparent, but Bo Saixi left it without comment.
"The stairs, I can show you, " she said and turned to Master Yuan, who stood at the edge of the pool like a frozen statue. "Would you mind if I took them with me, Master Yuan?"
"N....well."
"We will be fine," Tang Yin grinned at Master Yuan. Don't worry; just tell the Teacher that we are going to be late, okay?"
"A... yes, I will." He caught himself and smiled. "Don't worry."
"Okay." Tang Yin turned towards Bo Saixi. "Let's go."
"Alright." Bo Saixi used the water from the pool around them to pick them up as she floated them on water waves. Stepping into the sky, they were brought along.
Tang Yin touched it, but it was like a bubble—just one that did not break when she touched it. Her gaze wandered downwards as the bubbles rose higher and higher. Eventually, they were so high they could almost overlook the entire island.
Was this how a Master, a Douluo, felt? She asked herself momentarily as they descended and ended up in front of a seemingly endless staircase vanishing into the clouds.
Tang Yin blinked.
"This is it?" She asked Bo Saixi.
"Yes." Bo Saixi answered her. "I once, long ago, needed to climb it as well."
"I have a different thest but yours doesnt look so dramatic." Yu Hua said, staring at it. "Tang Yin, how many do you have to climb?"
"444." She answered him. "Steps."
Yu Hua flinched. "That is an unlucky number and a lot of stairs."
"It is?"
"Yeah, quite so."
"I thought 666 is an unlucky number for the devil."
"444 is bad luck. Let's try it. I am happy I don't have to do that. But can I try taking a step as well?" He turned to Bo Saixi.
"Go ahead, the sea god is not offended at someone giving it a try. Remember though to be tested by the sea gods light is only for black level examinees so do not feel dissapointed if you do not get very far." She offered him a light smile. It was clear she saw them both as children. Tang Yin doubted Yu Hua would be allowed to try it out if he had been older.
Yu Hua smiled and then bowed to the sea god before he gasped when he took the first step forward. Only to fall onto his knees. He stared at the staircase eyes wide and then stepped back down, and following him, Tang Yin did the same, Suddenly she felt like she was wearing weights her arms and legs weighted down.
"The steps are not that easy." Bo Saixi said with a mild smile at their rashness. "For no one. It is your task to find out how they work and climb your way up. If you wish to come here you need to be accompanied by someone who passed purple level examiations this is forbidden ground. Altogehter there are 1000 steps."
Tang Yin stared upwards. "Wow that is a lot of steps" She muttered and suddenly the flight of stairs upwards was more intimidating and looing then before. She turned to Bo Saixi who nodded at her to go ahead and continue trying.
"Yu Hua. let's just try how far we get for now." Then she took the next step, starting to climb. Yu Hua remained behind.
