Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 240: The revelation
Andria’s POV
"What happened to the other creatures?" I asked.
"Let me show you," the voice answered.
And just then, I was transported to a council chamber with dim light from touches hung on the walls, like an ancient one.
I grew tense from the coldness of the floor and the anxiety surrounding the room.
"The land is drying up, and we need to feed. There is no longer animal blood for us to feed on, because they are all dying," one of the council members complained, baring his fangs.
"They are vampires," I muttered to myself.
"Yes, they are vampires," the voice replied calmly.
"If we don’t feed on the only existing creatures, our powers will be drained from us," another suggested.
"The only existing creatures on land now are the werewolves. Humans are almost extinct because we have fed on some, while others have turned.
Sirens have returned to the sea, and the fairies are dead, although if they were alive, we can’t drink from them.
So do you say we start drinking from the wolves?" The council leader asked.
"That’s the only option," the first complaint suggested.
"Then we attack at night," the leader concurred.
"And just like that, the werewolves became food for the vampires. They fed on us until we were almost extinct," the voice narrated.
And as she spoke, the atmosphere became night, and I watched the vampires feed on the wolves every night, until I was transported to another council chamber.
"Stop," I screamed. "I can’t take this anymore."
"You have to know your purpose. The reason you are a hybrid. If you don’t know this, when your powers start to overwhelm you, you may not control them, and you would cause more disaster than your ancestors ever did," the voice insisted.
"What are we going to do?" one of the council members asked. "The vampires have turned us to their food, and we are gradually going extinct."
"I suggest we fight back. We are just as strong; we can’t let them wipe us away like they did the humans," another council member suggested.
"They attack at night. We have to be alert at night, and attack them by day when the sun is hot," the leader of the council suggested.
And by the look of it, the leader of the council looked like the present king; he was probably from the king’s lineage and was perhaps the king back then.
"And just like that, a war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves.
The vampires attacked at night, claiming lives and feeding on the male wolves. The werewolves attacked by day, burning the vampires.
Then one day the vampires decided to seek the help of a black wizard," the voice narrated.
Just then, I was transported to a dark cave, with birds chirping and leaves rustling accompanying me.
The cave had ancient chants scribbled on it, a typical witches’ and wizards’ den.
It was dark until I got into a room, with just a torch on top of a centre table.
"What brings you here?" A voice called out. My eyes darted in the direction of the voice.
"The werewolves defeat us by day because we can’t fight under the sun. We are creatures of the night and are burned under the sun," the hooded creature replied.
"So you want me to do something about that?" The wizard asked.
"We want a charm that would save us from the wrath of the sun," the hooded creature replied.
"You would have to sacrifice something else in return," the wizard answered.
"What’s that?" The hooded creature asked.
"A young female vampire," the wizard replied. "A young female vampire of the royal lineage," he repeated.
"There’s only one young female vampire of the royal lineage, and that’s my daughter," the vampire replied, his tone saddened.
"That’s the only trade that can be acceptable," the wizard insisted.
There was a long silence between them.
"The vampire king sacrificed his only daughter in exchange for a charm that could protect the kingdom from the sun. But the sacrifice has a clause.
The sacrificed daughter would reincarnate; she would be stronger, forged by the war between the two creatures. She would either destroy the two worlds or bring peace between the two worlds," the voice narrated.
And just then, I was taken away from the wizard’s cave. The male wolves were slaughtered by day and by night until they were extinct. Both young and old.
"What happened next?" I asked, curious.
I was half vampire, even though I resonated more with the werewolves. I still felt horrible when the vampires were mistreated. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
Although I hated them for their greed and darkness, I knew not all vampires were evil.
"Across the ocean, where another kingdom of werewolves without she-wolves.
The she-wolves, with their male wolves gone, prayed to the moon goddess for help, and the Lunara-blooded she-wolves were born.
I know you already know that part. Their scent was so strong that it attracted males from across the ocean, and they began reproducing again.
They sought a remedy for the vampires’ invasion, and the Dravaris was born. But as the Dravaris fought the vampires, they preyed on the Lunara-blooded she-wolves.
Some females were born with the unique scent of the Lunara-blooded, while some weren’t born with it.
Slowly, the Lunara-blooded she-wolves began to go into instinct after the vampires were sent to the underworld through the sigil sealed with the blood of the Dravaris.
The Dravaris began to prey on the Lunara-blooded she-wolves, forcefully taking them as mates, seducing them and draining the life out of them," the voice paused.
My heart pounded so loudly as Sir Kaelric came into my mind. Was he like the others? Was he seducing me to drain the life out of me later on?.
"You are different, but you don’t know exactly who you are. Your father is not dead, but you will find out soon... Five thousand years later, after the vampires stayed underground, the black wizards and witches were cast out, and other dark creatures, leaving only the white witches and wizards in the land and the sirens in the water. Peace returned to the land, and the ground became fertile again.
Then some werewolves who wanted power started to rebel. They plotted secretly to gain the throne, and the only way to get it was to bring back an old nightmare: the vampires.
They sort black sorcerers and a help of a Dravaris, and the sigil was breached for the first time.
The vampires came in slowly, feeding on unsuspecting wolves, taking some she-wolves forcefully, and every night, there was a shout in every house.
Every she-wolf that the vampire defiled was killed, and the child in her belly was also killed.
