Taming SSR And UR RANK Superwomen-Chapter 27 — The Goddess of Ark
As every gaze remained fixed on Belle, as if an invisible pressure were descending from above and clinging to everything beneath the sky, the air itself began to vibrate.
The reporter, her hair whipped by the wind and her breathing uneven, struggled to keep the microphone steady as the camera shook violently.
"Attention, citizens of Ark! We confirm that the creature has been classified as triple SSS rank! I repeat, triple SSS! The highest level ever recorded within the urban perimeter!"
A collective murmur rippled through the crowd gathered in front of the store.
"Triple SSS?"
"That’s impossible..."
"How did it get past the walls?"
On screen, the monster roared. Its massive wings lashed through the clouds, and a dark gust descended like a shroud over the buildings.
Belle did not move.
Her right hand remained raised, her fingers slightly extended, as if touching an invisible surface. Her red eyes glowed with a faint yet unmistakable light.
Thomas felt the air grow heavy.
’Ah... she’s doing it.’
The monster’s body stopped abruptly. There was no impact, no explosion; it simply ceased advancing. Its wings remained open and rigid. Then it began to compress.
At first, it was almost imperceptible. Its torso caved inward, as if an invisible force were pressing it from every angle at once. The roar turned into a piercing shriek.
Its wings folded. Its legs twisted. The camera could barely keep up without losing focus.
"She’s... she’s manipulating its physical structure directly!" the reporter shouted. "The number one heroine is applying pressure to every point of the target!"
The creature tried to break free. It didn’t stand a chance. Belle gently closed her fingers. The monster collapsed into itself, shrinking into a grotesque sphere of compressed flesh, bone, and fur.
For a second, the world seemed to hold its breath.
Then it exploded.
A wet detonation shook the sky. Dark blood scattered in every direction like macabre rain, disintegrating before it could reach the ground, vaporized by the very pressure that had contained it.
The echo took several seconds to fade.
An absolute silence spread through the streets. Then the screams erupted.
"She defeated it in one attack!"
"It was triple SSS!" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"She didn’t even move!"
"She’s a monster—no, she’s a goddess!"
"A goddess!"
On the broadcast, other heroines positioned on nearby buildings watched in visible astonishment.
One of them, clad in silver armor, murmured without realizing her microphone was picking it up:
"That level gap... it’s absurd."
Another, suspended in the air by a levitation ability, descended slowly while shaking her head.
"Even among us... she’s in a different category."
Thomas smiled with contained fervor, his eyes shining with palpable devotion.
’Astral Sovereignty... she rules over everything beneath her sky. Every force in the universe rests in the palm of her hand. Nothing exists outside her jurisdiction.’
Belle descended with the same serenity as a leaf carried by the wind.
Her boots touched the blackened asphalt. Around her, the fires were already being extinguished by other heroines.
The crowd broke through the security perimeter.
"Belle Snow!"
"Thank you for saving us!"
"I love you!"
"Marry me!"
"You’re our goddess!"
"Queen of the sky!"
Some were crying. Others dropped to their knees. Several reached out, trying to touch even the edge of her hair.
She looked at them. She didn’t smile, but she didn’t show coldness either. Her expression was calm and serene—almost maternal.
She inclined her head slightly.
"Please remain calm. The area has not yet been fully secured."
Her voice wasn’t raised, yet it cut through the clamor with clarity.
"Ark is protected. As long as I am here, I will not allow anything to destroy it."
It wasn’t arrogance; it was a simple statement—a promise. The fervor intensified.
"Goddess!"
"Our protector!"
"Number one!"
She made a small gesture with her hand, signaling the rescue teams to continue.
"Trust the other heroines as well. I am not alone."
Polite, modest, and unshakable. Then, without further ceremony, she bent her knees slightly and ascended back into the sky.
"Thank you all very much for your support and for purchasing my merchandise," she said, bowing her head slightly. "Your displays of affection do not go unnoticed."
With that, she vanished into the clouds. Thomas followed her with his gaze until she disappeared.
’She’s perfect... unreachable. And I am far too distant from her sky.’
◇◆◇
In the center of Ark, beyond the civilian sectors, stood the Central Base of the Ten.
A complex of black-and-white structures designed to house the highest-ranking heroines on the planet.
Belle landed on one of the upper platforms. Someone was already waiting for her.
A woman with pure white hair—so pale it seemed to reflect light—stood there with absolute composure. A single strand rose elegantly from her crown. She wore a black trench coat with perfectly aligned white accents, high boots, and a skirt that revealed her legs with impeccable restraint.
Her eyes were steady and professional.
Mary Frederica, the world’s number two heroine. There was no tension in her posture, only focus. Belle approached with calm steps.
For a moment, they regarded each other in silence. Mary spoke first:
"Defeating a triple SSS with a single move." Her voice was serious, but not cold. "As expected of you, Belle."
Belle inclined her head slightly in acknowledgment. Mary continued:
"However... we need to talk."
Her gaze shifted toward the distant city, her long white hair swaying in the wind.
"That monster should not have been able to slip into Ark. It’s an anomaly."
