Talisman Reincarnation - All My Clones Are Dao Ancestors-Chapter 55: Yelong’s Father
A few days passed as everything calmed down.
Initially, some of the lower cultivators talked about what happened, but after being reminded by their superiors, they, too, stopped talking about it.
Fu Xian was currently sitting in his pavilion, drinking tea leisurely.
Just as it reached midday and the sun was high in the sky, he heard a knock on his courtyard’s formation.
Standing up, he went to open the door.
A slight embarrassment crossed his face, but quickly receded.
’Maybe after this, I won’t have to do these small tasks anymore.’
Opening his formation and the gates, he saw a stature man standing outside. Next to him was the young and shy Yelong, wearing oversized taoist robes, his eyes slightly red, rings formed around them.
"Greetings, Senior!" Fu Xian bowed to the strong man, a fourth-stage cultivator.
"No need for formalities," the man said "may I enter?"
"Of course. Please follow me senior."
Fu Xian said, showing the way with his arm. When the senior stepped forward, he only walked ahead slightly, barely a single step.
Seeing this, the senior was a bit more satisfied.
They walked down to the pavilion Fu Xian was just at.
He gestured for the senior to sit down before taking out a tea pot, about to pour a cup.
"No need, I don’t drink tea." The senior was about to put his hand on the cup, signalising he truly didn’t want any.
But before he could do so, Fu Xian moved faster, instantly reaching out with his spiritual power and pouring it regardless "Senior, you must be a warrior, right?
Your spiritual power is robust and there is an inherent explosiveness hidden in your arms.
Senior should know best how to balance strength and weakness.
Drinking tea not only calms down one’s mind, but drinking itself is a delicate task.
Those who can focus all their might in a single point of their body will always be ahead of those whose martial prowess spreads throughout the whole area."
Hearing this, the senior raised his eyebrow.
A smile appeared on his face, his hand reaching out and taking a hold of the cup "Is that so? It seems you know quite a bit."
"Among three people, there will always he someone who can teach you. Even if we mingle among mortals for a bit, we will be able to learn something.
Although we will have to put their wisdom into our perspective, it will still be helpful.
Well, this is only the case for experienced or educated mortals anyways. Not any hilly billy may impart wisdom to us."
"Very well. Haha, it seems brother Helong has chosen very well!
You’re elegant but bold and don’t put a leaf before your mouth, very good!" the Senior seemed satisfied and was about to drink the tea with gutso.
But then he thought, maybe it was right. Although he had an extreme strong control over his power, maybe it was good to sometimes change the way you behaved and be a bit more delicate? At least it didn’t hurt to try.
He calmed down his fiery heart and slowly drunk the cup of tea.
Although he didn’t feel a major difference, he did indeed feel like his power was a bit more supressed than usual. Whether this was beneficial or useless is a matter for later.
He then looked over to Yelong on his side, who seemed a bit droopy.
Raising his hand, he gently patted his son’s head, the smile on his face becoming more genuine "This is my son Yelong, whom you have met already.
That Helong, he just took him and introduced him to you, without asking me at all.
Initially I thought you, a creation master, might be too soft and unfit to teach him.
But seeing you like this, I remember the temper of those weapon masters.
None of them is easy to deal with, and some are even stronger than us warriors!
My son Yelong..."
Fu Xian reached his hand, water suddenly rose from the pond afar and sprayed on Yelongs face, startling him.
"Yelong, when your father talks, you should pay attention. Even if you are sleepy, you have to supress your tiredness and focus on the situation ahead. There is no tardiness when fighting, nor is there any tardiness when drawing talisman.
Raise your head and face your father like you’re facing a piece of paper you’re about to draw on!"
Hearing this, Yelong quickly regained his composure.
He took a breath and focused, the redness in his eyes dimming a bit.
Looking over to his father, his face became determined and extremely focused.
Fu Xian could even feel a hint of an intent – although it was weak and not remarkable, and nowhere near the murderous intent of the warrior in front of him, it was still something.
The senior, on the other hand, was the one who was startled now!
Because just as Fu Xian felt it, he, too, felt an intent focused on him!
A momentary illusion appeared in his vision: he had turned into a beast of prey, stared at by a predator, as if about to be skinned alive.
This illusion broke in less than a second, but just the extremely weak intent already gave him a huge shock!
His son, who had been shy and introverted, always in his room studying and drawing, now seemed...
Like a beast in a cage, always ready to attack!
His eyes gleamed with excitement as he turned to Fu Xian, only to see Fu Xian focused on Yelong.
Fu Xian took a blank talisman and threw it between Yelong and his father!
Instantly, dark lines appeared on the piece of paper, as if about to form a talisman out of nothing!
But after just a few lines, it disappeared. Yelong seemed exhausted, his intent receding. He bowed to Fu Xian "Senior, I-"
"Hahaha!" Fu Xian laughed aloud "My fortune is great, today is an auspicious day! Senior Ruan, senior, your gift is truly astonishing!"
