Chapter 165: A Reignhart like this

Even his team was affected. They swayed and felt pressure in their heads, but it was nothing compared to what the rest of the room was feeling.

Even the very air they breathed in seemed to be filled with pain and torment that twisted down their lungs as if it carried tiny blades within.

It was in this that Severin began to make his moves. The strange tongue that came out of the woman was also affected. They wiggled on the ground, trying to escape from Severin as fast as they could.

The one that bit him was already dead!

He shot forward with lightning speed,

jumped over the wiggling tongue and made directly for her. She saw him, her teeth gritted in stubbornness as she tried to get away as well.

She was already affected by the screaming pain that came from Severin. Her hands trembled as she raised them, but it was futile.

Severin’s punch caught her on the chest, directly above her heart, and it carved in, bones snapping with ease. His hand crushed her heart through her body to the outside.

She dropped down, dead, shock still twisting her face.

But before her dead body even reached the ground, he was already

on the move.

Most of the weaker Etherion users were on the floor, their hands on their ears, and convulsions made their bodies jerk while blood foam fell from their mouths.

Severin didn’t bother with them.

He drew a sword from his tattoo storage and then he began an act of slaughter.

The closest person had their head cut so brutally, their head shot away as if it was kicked.

It was as if Severin was clearing overgrown weed as he ran forward.

Shin! Sbin! Shin!

His sword cut down the screaming humans as easily as cutting off weed.

Heads spun in the air and blood was like rain.

Suddenly Severin paused, and then his head turned while his body remained perfectly still. His mouth opened and closed soundlessly, but to others, he was weeping with the voices of the thousands.

He was looking at the other S-ranked that was making her way over to his team.

The lady gritted her teeth and rushed forward. Blood dripped from her ears, but she ignored it. She was using half of her power to resist Severin’s pain screaming, while the other was focused on running.

Her plan was to take his team members hostage to use against him.

Severin stood, fighting, and watched her. It gave the Etherion users around him breathing space as they struggled to get away from him.

Just as the S-ranked got closer, the team looked at each other.

"You do it, Serena," Ethan said.

"No. I’m not as powerful as an S-ranked, unfortunately."

"Then isn’t this the best time for practicing?"

"I’ll do it instead!" Derrick shouted. His body was covered in red light that seemed to form a hard shell on his skin.

"No. Don’t. You’ll get beaten and we’ll need to save you... which would be embarrassing," Celia pointed out.

With Severin’s power, Ethan was as powerful as a strong S-rank. He sighed and took a step forward. He raised his hand and pointed.

The air rippled around his fingers, and then, the space in front of the woman also rippled, and the ball of gravity slammed into her head with a wet crunch, ending her life in an instant.

Ethan shrugged from the surprised look sent his way. "She’s already distracted and weakened by whatever Severin is doing."

They all turned to watch Severin.

He stopped shouting in pain. But the effects didn’t just disappear like that.

And Severin used the opportunity to clean up the area, his sword a cold glare as he raised it, cutting down everyone.

"I’ve stopped fighting, please do..."

"I’ll not fight you again! I’m sorry for..."

He killed them all.

By the time he was done, the blood in the air was so thick it seemed to be mixed with the air they breathed in. The blood was also splattered on everything, dyeing it a dull red.

Severin himself was covered in blood and bits of flesh. It was a ghastly sight. His sword seemed to be made of flesh with the announcement of blood that was on it.

He stood there breathing hard.

"Well... I wasn’t expecting that. Is he always like this?" Serena asked.

Ethan’s face darkened. "Yes. He just covers it up with his smile."

Julius shrugged. "Just don’t go after the same thing he wanted or threaten his life. If he can’t kill you himself, he’ll plan your death."

Derrick snorted coldly. "Oh stop the worship, guys! He’s not all that you’re saying. He’s only doing this because he’s stronger now."

But in his heart, he nodded in satisfaction at what Severin did.

Severin shook some of the blood off him. He turned towards the shed. "I am done."

Inside, the two sat in shock.

The woman finally shook her head. "Well, fuck."

Miret remained silent.

"You said he’s weak. I don’t think you understand what weakness meant, Miret."

Miret shook his head. "He was weak. Until he wasn’t. I don’t know what happened."

He had a thoughtful look in his eyes. "It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Reignhart like this."

The woman snorted. "Congratulations. You now have the right to represent us. Don’t screw things up."

Miret smiled. "I would have to reevaluate things."

She looked at him for a long time. "What are you going to do with him? He’s a Reignhart. The others won’t be happy about this."

Miret shook his head. "What’s there to be done? It’s part of history. But one thing I’m curious about is that power of his. It’s very familiar. Don’t you see that it has divinity?"

"So? Power is power."

Miret smiled. "Yes, yes it is. But if he died, with that divinity I won’t be able to summon his ghost when he dies. Isn’t he a clever little thing?"

She frowned. "I don’t know. It’s not like everyone likes their ghost to be called after death."
