Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon's Might-Chapter 467 - 459: He is here
Chapter 467: Chapter 459: He is here
The temple of the Ocean Goddess in the largest Talia Alliance was established on the coast, exposed to storms and tidal waves, but due to the protection of the Ocean Goddess, it has safely endured countless years.
Like a fiery meteor, Leon landed with a roar, just stood up, flapped his wings, and moved his body. The Ocean Goddess’s archbishop, Sabrina, whom he had seen before, appeared wrapped in the sea breeze, followed by a squad of temple guards in scale armor, holding tridents.
Although she was mentally prepared, when Sabrina finally saw the super giant red dragon, as huge as a small mountain, she was still shocked. She took a deep breath, forced herself to raise her chin, and said pompously, "Your Majesty Leon, what brings you here?"
"It’s still about your goddess, who loves to engage in small tricks from the shadows." Leon looked down at Sabrina, then raised his head, looking around, "What a beautiful temple... I’ve heard it’s your goddess’s favorite temple."
"I wonder if I’ll damage it, whether your goddess, who hides her head, will be willing to show up." Leon threatened, as damaging the temple was a means to force the Ocean Goddess out.
"Your Majesty Leon can damage it as you wish. It’s just a big building after all." Sabrina curled the corners of her mouth. "It’s not comparable to Volcanic Island, which you spent so much effort transforming."
Leon’s pupils slightly contracted.
"I heard, not sure if it’s true; I hope Your Majesty Leon can enlighten me." Sabrina’s eyes shimmered with a venomous coldness. "That Volcanic Island is brimming with magic power. All creatures living on the island grow stronger than those outside, and the ill recover automatically after living there for a while."
"If such a magical Volcanic Island is destroyed—" Sabrina shook her head regretfully. "It’s a tremendous loss for the world."
Leon had already guessed at the Ocean Goddess’s means and still asked, "What do you really mean?"
"The goddess’s pet, a Leviathan, should have reached the Volcanic Island by now. If you hurry back now, there’s still time." Sabrina laughed wildly, "You’re strong, but your strength alone isn’t enough."
"Leviathan?" Leon repeated, his voice dragging on.
Of course, he knew Leviathan.
If it were the Leviathan described in the third-edition book, sleeping in the ocean depths, immensely large enough to encircle the entire world, whose occasional disturbances in sleep would bring hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions, and upon waking, would destroy the world, he might worry.
Unfortunately, like the Time Dragon that can destroy the world, the Leviathan in this world has been severely nerfed. Now, it’s just a super giant elemental, transformed into a massive serpent-like creature, with a Challenge Level similar to a Pit Fiend, not even as good as a Kraken.
Did they really think they had any means?
Is that all?
Leon couldn’t help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Sabrina suddenly became uneasy. It shouldn’t be; a dragon can’t remain indifferent in the face of danger at his lair, especially such a precious one. The Red Dragon should be furiously returning to Watchtower Port, not leisurely swinging its tail here.
"I laugh at your exhausted tactics," Leon replied.
"Your goddess has a pet; I also have a pet. Wondering who is more powerful, Leviathan or Kraken?" Leon had defeated the Kraken, but it was never truly submissive, always thinking of taking him down, but each time could only survive by offering its heart and blood; nonetheless, it didn’t stop him from boasting.
"Are you talking about the Kraken living in the Margo Sea Trench?" Sabrina frowned, "It’s your pet? Everyone knows you’ve fought it several times."
"So what?" Leon replied without hesitation. "The North Sea beast Yosasi, originally lived in the strait next to the Belen Kingdom. When I went to the Belen Kingdom, I encountered it, brought it thousands of miles from the North Sea to the Flash Sea, trained it countless times, and now it’s finally a little obedient."
"If it weren’t my pet," Leon said, "why do you think it’s so docile, except for hunting whales, staying quietly in the deep sea, and being indifferent to passing ships?"
"Nonsense!"
A less familiar person with the Kraken might be bluffed here, but Sabrina, as the Ocean Goddess’s archbishop, was very familiar with sea monsters and said, "Impossible, a Kraken cannot be anyone’s pet, not even the goddess can enslave them."
"Hahaha." Leon suddenly burst into laughter, "You guessed right; that Kraken’s indeed not my pet, but there’s no prize."
"Though it’s not my pet, it has some connection to me. Otherwise, why do you think I’m still here chatting idly with you after hearing about the Leviathan?" Even without the Kraken, Leon wasn’t worried about the Leviathan, as there were many dragons on Volcanic Island, not to mention Tassera had already advanced to a Titan.
"Enough nonsense, let’s begin." Leon activated his Three-headed Six-armed Dharma Body, drawing six swords from nothingness with six arms, and slashed at Sabrina’s head.
Sabrina’s face changed dramatically and narrowly avoided a lethal strike.
Leon was uncaring, his left arm suddenly swung, the giant sword like a golden lightning, accurately slicing through the temple dome. The massive dome instantly split as if cut by a knife, the debris tumbling down to the ground.
Another tremendous sound.
The giant sword from Leon’s right arm severed the temple’s main pillar. The pillar, dozens of meters high, collapsed heavily onto the altar, destroying all the sacred items dedicated to the Ocean Goddess.
Seeing the broken pillar, an idea struck Leon. He flicked his tail, wrapping the pillar, wielding it like a massive mace, leaving huge dents on the ground before finally flinging it away.
Sabrina and the temple guards launched a crazed attack, lightning and ice blades rained down on Leon, but these attacks on Leon’s Vajra Body were like mosquito bites.
Leon didn’t even bother to counterattack, simply focused on destroying every structure of the temple.
Even the largest temple of the Ocean Goddess in the Talia Alliance, appearing ten stories tall, was nothing before Leon, who resembled Godzilla standing up.
Leon quickly destroyed that temple, leaving only ruins of the centuries-standing temple, crushed a few temple guards, lacking interest to hunt down Sabrina and waste time, ready to move to another city, with many temples waiting for him to dismantle.
"Almost forgot about you!"
Just as Leon was about to head to the next city to continue his destruction, his gaze was caught by a giant statue on the distant island. It was an almost hundred-meter-tall statue of the Ocean Goddess, graceful, holding a trident, resembling a goddess descending upon the sea.
A fierce gleam flashed in Leon’s eyes, he took a deep breath, his chest heaving violently, the chest burning like molten lava, the giant dragon’s mouth suddenly opened wide, spewing out a flame hundreds of meters long, carrying an all-consuming heat, rushing straight towards the Ocean Goddess statue.
The flame engulfed the statue in an instant, under the high temperature, the statue’s arms began to melt and collapse.
Leon did not hesitate, followed by spewing Samadhi True Fire towards the Ocean Goddess statue, the massive flame flying out several hundred meters, engulfing the statue, starting to collapse from the arms.
"Looks just like the Statue of Liberty, really annoying to look at." Leon shook his head in disgust, the giant wings flapped, soaring into the sky.
Just as he took off, the sky suddenly darkened like ink. A lightning bolt as thick as a bucket tore through the clouds with world-destroying momentum, striking him hard.
Even with Leon’s Vajra Body, he couldn’t withstand this divine wrath, involuntarily letting out a painful roar, crashing heavily to the ground, raising clouds of dust.
As the dust gradually settled, Leon shook and stood up.
"You’ve gone too far!"
The Ocean Goddess finally appeared.
