System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 521: Ch : Oliver & Ava (1)
Alex looked at the panther's bloody front paw and smiled. The panther glared at the human in front of it with its dark red eyes. However, it was clearly very intelligent.
Although Alex's cultivation was weaker, after the exchange of attacks, it already knew that defeating Alex was impossible. So, it showed the intention to retreat.
However, Alex rushed over before it could even move.
How could Alex miss such a good opportunity?
A golden blade tore through the air, turning into a beautiful golden arc that slashed across the panther's body.
With a swish, the panther and the metal box under it were instantly cut open. Blood flowed all over the ground, and the panther was killed just like that.
Without hesitation, Alex used the devouring skill of the Devouring God Body and devoured the Panther. Then he retreated and went back to the corpses of the two beasts he killed earlier and devoured them as well.
He didn't stop. He continued to move deeper into the forest while killing and devouring beasts.

At the same time, deep inside the forest, two groups of people ran into another group.
"Kevin, is this the genius your Sword Martial Sect discovered recently?" a plump woman in her thirties asked as she walked toward Kevin, Oliver, and the others.
Behind her followed a young girl and a fat middle-aged man with a square face. Both wore gentle smiles as they approached. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
When Kevin saw them, his face lit up. He turned to Oliver and said with a smile, "Oliver, let me introduce you. This is Elder Emily from the Spirit Martial Sect, and this is Elder Henry from the Nature Martial Sect."
He pointed at the plump woman first, then at the fat middle-aged man.
"Elder Emily, Elder Henry, hello. I'm Oliver," Oliver said politely as he greeted them.
Emily and Henry both narrowed their eyes slightly when they saw how Kevin introduced them. They immediately understood that Kevin held Oliver in high regard. Otherwise, he would not personally make such introductions. It was clear that Kevin was helping Oliver build connections.
"Oliver?" Emily repeated with interest. "Since Kevin values you so highly, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do tonight."
She then turned to the young girl beside her and said, "Ava, this is a genius that Old Kevin appreciates. You should talk with him more."
"Y-You… hello. I… my name is Ava Martinez," the girl beside Emily said softly as she greeted Oliver.
She was clearly not used to talking with strangers. Her voice was small, her words came out slowly, and she did not dare to look directly at him. It was obvious that she was very nervous.
Seeing this, Emily could only sigh helplessly in her heart. Her disciple was talented in every way, and her potential was terrifyingly high, but she was far too shy. This timid nature was her only weakness.
"Hello. We can get to know each other better in the future," Oliver said with a gentle smile.
He could tell at once that this girl was not ordinary. Anyone who could follow Emily, a Great Saint Stage expert, was definitely not simple.
When Ava saw his warm expression, the tension in her heart finally eased. She gathered her courage and whispered, "I… I've never killed anyone before. When… when the quest starts, can I stay with you? I'm a little scared."
Oliver was slightly surprised. He had not expected such an honest and innocent request.
"Of course," he replied with a light nod.
"R-Really?" Ava's eyes lit up. A bright smile bloomed on her face. This smile was like a white flower opening in sunlight; it appeared so pure and beautiful. Her whole aura became gentle and clear in an instant.
When Emily saw this, she felt even more helpless. She had brought Ava here so she could gain experience, yet the girl had already found someone to rely on.
"It seems I'll have to arrange more missions for her in the future," Emily thought to herself. "Otherwise, when will this child truly grow?"
"Kevin, Emily, it's time to move," Henry said suddenly.
Kevin nodded and asked, "Is Senior Dan here yet?"
Before anyone could answer, a dignified middle-aged man descended from the sky. "Elders, I've been waiting for you for a while. I was chasing a Green-Scaled Fire Ape just now and got delayed."
This was Senior Dan.
As soon as he appeared, a thick killing aura spread from his body. It was so heavy that it made people's hearts tighten. It felt as if he had just walked out of a battlefield, soaked in blood.
Oliver and the other young warriors felt their bodies stiffen. It was as though they had been thrown into a sea of blood. The smell of slaughter filled their senses, making their breathing uneasy.
Ava trembled instantly, shrinking back like a frightened rabbit. Her face turned pale, and her hands shook uncontrollably.
It was clear that Dan had just gone through an intense killing. The murderous intent around him had not yet faded.
"Since everyone is here, let's begin," Kevin said immediately after Senior Dan appeared. He didn't want to delay the matter at hand.
In the next moment, Kevin, Emily, Henry, and Dan rose into the air together, floating above the hundreds of warriors from the three sects.
"Let's go!" Kevin shouted.
Without wasting any time, the four of them flew out of the supply base. Hundreds of warriors followed closely behind, filling the sky with streaks of light.
From start to finish, Kevin and the others did not explain what the secret mission was or where they were headed. They simply led the way, signaling for everyone to follow them without question.
"Oliver, I saw Ethan. Look, he's over there," the beautiful girl, Julia, suddenly said as she pointed at a figure flying ahead.
Oliver followed her finger and immediately spotted the tall, burly man. It was indeed Ethan.
At the same time, Ethan also turned his head and saw Oliver. Their eyes met in midair.
Ethan's heart sank the moment their gazes collided. On the surface, he looked calm, but inside, his mind was in turmoil. He had clearly seen Oliver standing beside a big shot like Kevin, and Kevin even seemed to value him highly. This made Ethan feel an enormous pressure weighing on his chest.
"How did he get close to someone like Kevin?" Ethan cursed inwardly.
If Oliver truly had Kevin's support, then killing him might bring terrible consequences. Would Kevin seek revenge? Would his own life be put in danger? Just the thought of it made his mood grow darker.
But even so, Ethan clenched his fists.
He still had to kill Oliver.
There was no other choice.
In the past, Oliver had humiliated him in front of others more than once. Those scenes were like thorns in his heart that could never be pulled out. If he did not kill Oliver, he would never be able to swallow this hatred.
"Let's see if I can kill him in the chaos this time," Ethan thought coldly. "If I can't… then I'll have to use that move."
With that, he withdrew his gaze and suddenly sped up, flying ahead without looking back.
Oliver also looked away at the same time. Their relationship was already that of life and death. He, too, wanted to kill Ethan as soon as possible.
But this was not the right moment.
Under the watchful eyes of so many experts and elders, neither of them could make a move openly. For now, they could only suppress their killing intent and wait for the right opportunity.
Hundreds of warriors followed behind Kevin and the other three as they crossed thousands of miles in a short time, entering deep into the wilderness. With four terrifying experts leading the way, even the fierce beasts of the forest did not dare to come close. Their journey was completely unobstructed, almost unnaturally smooth.
Before long, they arrived at a quiet place beside a lake. A small hill stood near the water, looking ordinary and peaceful. The lake surface shimmered gently, and the surroundings were calm. At first glance, there was nothing special about this place at all.
"Stop," Kevin ordered.
Everyone halted at once.
Though the scene seemed normal, none of the warriors relaxed. If Kevin and the others had chosen this place, then something extraordinary was definitely hidden here.
"I'll handle it," Dan said coldly.
He raised his hand and took out a dark red saber. In the next instant, his figure flashed forward, and he swung the saber down with overwhelming force.
Shua~
The saber light tore through the air like lightning. Wherever it passed, the space itself seemed to twist and ripple violently. The ripples spread downward, reaching the lake below. The water sizzled as if scorched by invisible flames, splitting apart and revealing the muddy bottom beneath before rushing back to fill the gap.
While everyone was focused on the lake, the small hill, and Dan's terrifying attack, none of them noticed that far away, another presence had sensed Dan's terrifying outburst. That person had already changed direction and was rushing toward this location at full speed.
