Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Medal

Early the next morning, Mrs. Miller rushed to Arden University, hoping to catch Moira Young before her class started, otherwise meeting her at noon would delay her lunch time.

As luck would have it, just as Moira Young was leaving the dormitory, she ran into Mrs. Miller.

Moira Young and Mrs. Miller got along well. She thought that even if Julian Sinclair was scheming against her, Mrs. Miller wouldn’t be part of it, so she hesitantly walked over.

"Mrs. Miller, why have you been looking for me these past two days?"

"Miss, the young master asked you to come home!" Mrs. Miller looked at Moira Young expectantly, thinking Moira would surely be delighted. After all, it’s best to come home after suffering outside.

Moira Young didn’t believe it at all, and even had a hint of sarcasm, "It’s good enough that he doesn’t scheme against me; how could he possibly invite me home for a meal?"

"Moreover, I have no home."

Mrs. Miller was taken aback and stammered, "Miss, didn’t you accept the fish soup the young master gave you yesterday..."

"I poured it out." Moira Young wasn’t targeting Mrs. Miller, but she wanted Mrs. Miller to pass this along to Julian, "I will never eat a single meal from the Sinclair family again, nor will I ever step into the Sinclair family home."

"Mrs. Miller, please relay this word for word to him." Moira Young saw Mrs. Miller’s slightly reddened eyes and softened immediately, "Mrs. Miller, I know you care about me, but everything’s changed now; there’s no going back."

"Miss Young, can’t you, for my sake, just go back once? The young master personally said last night he wanted to see you, I’m not lying..." Mrs. Miller’s hopeful gaze showed her deep wish for Moira Young to go back with her!

"I don’t want to see him!" Moira Young didn’t want to say more. This topic always circled back to this one sentence, and there was nothing more to discuss.

"Mrs. Miller, you should head back. Don’t come anymore; you’re getting older and shouldn’t be running around so much."

Moira Young gave Mrs. Miller a deep look, then went to her class.

Because Mrs. Miller had gone to Arden University so early, Julian Sinclair had just gotten up when she returned home. Seeing Mrs. Miller’s low spirits, even though the toast was ready, she didn’t notice, and subconsciously attributed this to Moira Young.

Julian Sinclair took a sip of coffee, thinking he shouldn’t have gotten his hopes up; Moira Young definitely wouldn’t be willing to come.

"Young master, there’s a document I’d like you to review." The butler had been busy since early morning and only when he saw Julian Sinclair sit down did he bring the document over.

Julian Sinclair casually took it and glanced at it, realizing it was Moira Young’s employment report.

"Young master, should I go and ask them to treat Miss Young politely?"

Julian Sinclair raised his hand, "No need."

He finished speaking, then tossed the document into the trash can and leisurely ate his breakfast.

The butler didn’t quite understand Julian Sinclair’s actions, but Julian always had his reasons for everything he did, so he kept quiet.

After breakfast, Julian Sinclair continued reviewing the documents he hadn’t finished the night before. After all, there was over half a month’s worth, not something that could be done in a short time.

The butler stood by, reciting the schedule for the next two days.

"Friday morning, a video conference with elders of the Sinclair Group in Vesperia, and Friday afternoon, escorting Miss Fiona Rhodes back to Vesperia."

"Saturday—"

"Friday afternoon, cancel it." Julian’s tone was casual as he signed his name.

"Then what should replace Friday afternoon’s schedule?"

"A visit to the subsidiary company." He spoke lightly, as if it were a routine matter.

But the butler understood well that there was never a need for Julian Sinclair to personally visit a subsidiary company. He was doing it to see Moira Young.

This brought to mind when Julian Sinclair had tossed Moira Young’s information into the trash earlier. It turns out he had a plan all along.

"Young master, when do you plan to take Miss Fiona back to Vesperia then?"

Julian Sinclair answered without hesitation, "Don’t worry about her."

Julian knew the Rhodes family was eager to have him become their son-in-law for real; they would definitely talk about marriage on this trip to Vesperia. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

He knew marrying Fiona Rhodes would be like putting a ’victory’ crown on himself, but he had already hurt Moira Young once with his plans. Even if this marriage with Fiona was fake, it would appear to be quite the scandal, and he was concerned for Moira Young.

"Miss Fiona has come looking for you several times, and you haven’t seen her. Won’t she tell the Rhodes family?" The butler was somewhat worried.

"She won’t." Fiona Rhodes has always been proud and thinks Julian Sinclair is already hers; she wouldn’t dare face the Rhodes family.

The butler nodded thoughtfully.

At that moment, the doorbell rang. Mrs. Miller went to open the door. Adrian Grant was the only one who could enter the Sinclair’s courtyard.

As soon as he walked in, he stretched and plopped down on the single sofa next to Julian Sinclair, yawning.

Getting up this early wasn’t easy for him.

"Mrs. Miller, is there breakfast left? Please get me a plate." Adrian Grant lounged on the sofa, turning his face to ask Mrs. Miller.

Julian Sinclair was used to his behavior and let him do as he pleased.

Mrs. Miller responded, then made a cup of coffee for Adrian Grant and toasted two slices of bread.

Adrian Grant took it, noticing her poor spirits, and asked, "Mrs. Miller, I’ve never seen you like this before. Did you not sleep well? Your face looks a bit pale."

"I’m fine." Mrs. Miller gave a polite, bitter smile and went to get on with her tasks.

"Come on, tell me, was Julian Sinclair bullying you?" Adrian Grant glared at Julian Sinclair.

"At my age, who could bully me? Master Adrian, don’t joke; eat quickly while it’s hot."

Adrian Grant didn’t press further and let her go about her work.

He took a bite of his toast and glanced several times at Julian Sinclair, "Hey, I came to see you for a reason today."

"Speak." Julian Sinclair didn’t look at him.

"Do you know why Moira Young came to my house last time?" Adrian Grant teased, his interest piqued, "Take a guess."

Julian Sinclair paused flipping through his documents, gave him a cold glance, implying he could speak or not as he wished.

"Didn’t she sell that bag to me? There was a medal in the bag, and she came to retrieve it." Adrian Grant deliberately slowed his speech, "Guess again, what competition was that medal from?"

Julian Sinclair ignored him.

"It was a first prize in a national racing competition. Guess again, whose medal is it?" Adrian Grant, seeing no response, felt it was not interesting and said deliberately, "Related to Moira Young."

Julian Sinclair, handsome and single-eyed, nodded slightly.

"Give me sixty thousand dollars and I’ll tell you." Adrian Grant slyly took out the handbag Moira sold to him, placing it on the table, "This is what your girl sold to me. Here, take it back."

"Leave the bag, no money." Julian Sinclair indicated the butler should take the bag away, his tone indifferent.

"Julian Sinclair, you’re so unfair!" Adrian Grant watched helplessly as his sixty thousand disappeared, almost crying, "Don’t you want to hear the exclusive news I brought?"

"Spit it out."

Adrian Grant rolled his eyes, full of displeasure, "It’s Heath Sterling’s."

Julian Sinclair frowned, his expression changing, "What are you trying to say?"

"Isn’t Moira Young seeing someone?" Adrian Grant stuffed the last bite of bread into his mouth, fearing Julian Sinclair would throw him out after he spoke.

"No."

"No means no..." Adrian Grant quietly mimicked his way of speaking, muttering a line, and rolled his eyes at him again.
