Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Threat

Fiona Rhodes originally didn’t think that girl posed any threat, but now seeing Julian Sinclair’s reaction, she immediately realized she was wrong.

"Julian, I want you to tell me the truth, what do you consider that girl to be?" Fiona asked with a suspicious look. Her princess-like temper couldn’t hold back any words, especially when it came to Julian Sinclair, she had to ask clearly.

Julian Sinclair was already very annoyed; he really wanted to turn around and leave, but he couldn’t. He still needed the support of the Rhodes family at the moment.

"She calls me Uncle, what do you think I consider her to be?"

Fiona wasn’t satisfied; she didn’t want to hear such nonsense.

"Alright, when the wedding is over, your family should also return." Julian’s expression gradually softened; he didn’t want to wake up Moira Young.

"I’ll come find you tomorrow." Fiona stared into his eyes for a long time, until she received a firm answer from his unrelenting gaze, only then did she reluctantly agree to leave.

Julian leaned impatiently against the wall, saying indifferently, "Tomorrow is not possible."

"Then I’ll find you the day after tomorrow."

"I’m returning to the country the day after tomorrow."

Fiona panicked, grabbing Julian’s hand, "Why are you going back to Vesperia again? Can’t you stay with me in the UK? How many years has it been? My parents are starting to forget what you look like!"

"I don’t care, just the day after tomorrow, come home with me." Fiona had a bit of a spoiled demeanor, her eyes filled with anticipation.

Julian was about to speak when he felt the door behind him being opened. He turned around and saw Moira Young’s sleepy face.

"Uncle... I’m so cold..." Moira rubbed her eyes. She had woken up from the cold, found Julian absent, and vaguely heard some movement at the door, and when she opened it, she saw him.

Not only did she see him, but also another woman.

Her first reaction upon seeing a stranger was to hide behind Julian, asking quietly, "Uncle, who is she?"

Fiona saw Moira holding onto Julian’s arm and immediately became angry. Men and women were different; how could she not be ashamed at eighteen?

"I’m Julian’s girlfriend, Fiona Rhodes. What, hasn’t he mentioned me to you before?" Fiona immediately straightened up, looking down at Moira.

Moira was stunned, girlfriend? How come she had never heard of this?

She looked up at Fiona in confusion, clearly feeling a sense of hostility and threat.

"Alright, I’ll head back first, remember to come home with me the day after tomorrow." Fiona no longer looked at Moira, took a deep breath to compose herself, smiled slightly, and then leaned over and kissed Julian.

Moira immediately lowered her head, not daring to look.

Only after Fiona left did she relax, then silently walked back into the room without saying a word.

Julian followed her inside, knowing that Moira was upset because of this. He sat beside her, quietly watching her.

"Is she really your girlfriend?" Moira summoned the courage to ask, but she felt suffocated, deliberately moving to sit a little further from Julian.

"Since when did you have a girlfriend?"

Julian’s attractive lips curved slightly, "Why are you unhappy?"

Moira clenched her fists, her cheeks flushed at this question. After all, she didn’t even know why she felt unhappy.

"Why didn’t you tell me?" She was really angry. Clearly, he was hiding something from her, yet he acted like it had nothing to do with him.

"You don’t like her?" Julian’s usual demeanor was aloof, but he was different with Moira.

How could Moira say she didn’t like Fiona? That was his girlfriend, and they had even agreed to go to her house the day after tomorrow...

But Moira didn’t want to lie either, so she simply didn’t answer and turned her face away.

Julian saw this and had his answer.

"We’ll return to Vesperia after dinner tonight."
