Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 378: Bankruptcy
"Yes, the company went bankrupt."
"Impossible, this must be fake."
The assistant was a bit agitated, scratching his head while looking at the company’s news on the intranet: "Mr. Alden, it’s true. The documents just uploaded said the company has a deficit, can’t sustain itself, and went bankrupt overnight."
Mr. Alden suddenly dropped to the ground, staring blankly out at the night, like he was in a daze, while his phone still echoed the assistant’s swearing.
Mr. Alden was stunned for a moment, unable to say a word, until the assistant’s voice came through: "Mr. Alden? Mr. Alden? Are you listening?"
He finally snapped out of it, suppressing the panic in his heart, praying that it was just a mistake: "What happened? Don’t joke around."
"How dare I joke with you about something like this! Even if you gave me a hundred guts, I wouldn’t dare!" The assistant was scared out of his wits; this wasn’t something to jest about.
Clang.
He didn’t hold the phone securely and it fell to the ground. Mr. Alden sat down in defeat, his face pale, everything was fine yesterday, clearly...
Could it be Moira Young? Impossible, impossible.
He muttered to himself a couple of times, completely missing the phone vibrating.
By the time he reacted, Julian Sinclair was already out of patience.
"Hello?" His lower lip trembled uncontrollably, his voice shaking.
But the other side was silent, throwing his heart into complete disorder.
"Hello? Who is this? Don’t make me find out..." Before the harsh words could leave his mouth, Julian Sinclair’s light voice came through, "What’s up?"
Like grasping at the last straw, Mr. Alden forced himself to stop his hand from trembling: "President Sinclair, you must help me!"
Julian Sinclair listened with interest, but before he could offer help, he interrupted, "Did you enjoy the surprise I sent you?"
This sentence shocked him inside out, as if a bucket of cold water came pouring down from the sky.
Surprise? The surprise Julian Sinclair mentioned could it be...
Thinking about it this way, it wasn’t wrong. Mr. Alden didn’t know why, but he shivered asking, "President Sinclair, why, why!"
She didn’t wait for Julian Sinclair to speak, only a series of busy tones greeted her instead.
The original smugness was replaced by hopelessness, Mr. Alden felt his world crumbling.
The unwillingness in his heart was growing, he finally calmed his emotions and called Julian Sinclair again.
"President Sinclair, you must be joking with me, right?" He wore a flattering smile, suppressing the unease inside.
Julian Sinclair played with his cup, his words carrying a chill: "Don’t you understand?"
Mr. Alden paused, not speaking, pondering carefully, apart from Moira Young, nothing else seemed connected.
"President Sinclair, leave dealing with such a cheap woman to me, why use your influence? This joke isn’t funny at all."
"Slandering Moira Young, well done, I couldn’t resist applauding you; but hasn’t anyone told you Moira Young is my woman?" Julian Sinclair sneered, thinking Mr. Alden was exceptionally foolish.
Mr. Alden was completely flustered now, eager to explain: "President Sinclair, please listen to me, it’s not like you saw. What I said is the truth!"
"Since Mr. Alden has nothing much, why not arrange something for you?" After saying this, Julian Sinclair hung up the phone again, unwilling to speak more.
He placed the blue-flowered cup on the table, his gaze slowly becoming sharp.
Looks like if these people aren’t shown a bit of color, they’ll keep pushing their luck. He knew well who Moira Young was.
Mr. Alden stared blankly at the phone that had hung up, then in a rage, adamant that no third party would know about this, besides the call.
Ruby wasn’t on the set; calls couldn’t get through, and later the phone even shut off.
Meanwhile, she stood at a hotel entrance. Having just been drenched with cold water, she was soaking wet and shivering.
"Miss, you..." The waiter seeing her at the entrance was naturally a bit worried, so prepared to grab a towel.
"Get lost! All of you get lost! None of you are fit to hand me a towel!" Ruby pushed the waiter to the ground, bloodshot eyes glowering.
The waiter was frightened, sitting on the ground unable to get up, slowly creeping away in humiliation.
While Julian Sinclair watched the surveillance on his phone, he had already contacted the manager, pulling the surveillance footage to his phone.
He was satisfied with Ruby’s performance, slowly a smile curled on his lips, looking like a bloodthirsty devil, noble and elegant.
At the same time, he had someone dig up all the dirty dealings behind Ruby.
Only a few seconds apart from Mr. Alden’s company collapse, originally he was just casually dealing with this woman, didn’t expect her to stupidly run into trouble herself.
After watching for a while, Julian Sinclair took out his phone and dialed a number: "Send people to the hotel to take Ruby away now, as long as she doesn’t die."
His hint obvious to the person on the other side, shortly three to five people came to take Ruby away.
Though she struggled desperately, ultimately, she couldn’t beat a few strong men.
"I heard that’s Ruby, how did she end up like this?"
"Heard she angered a major sponsor, supposedly even her dirty dealings behind the scenes got exposed." Another person covered his mouth and nose, eyes showing disdain.
Desperate screams echoed from the car but no one cared.
Ruby, after all, was a public figure, and this incident spread quickly, those once relied upon didn’t bother with her.
Moira Young naturally got the news, her first reaction was shock, even choking on her own saliva.
Could it be Senior Aiden Webb? If it was him, she must thank him properly.
She couldn’t imagine anyone else who could help her deal with Ruby, only Aiden Webb had the capability.
"It’s really heartwarming." Several people passed by Moira Young in small groups, "Couldn’t stand her demeanor normally."
Moira Young turned a deaf ear, simply continued to pack her things.
Though somewhat joyful, there was still a mixed feeling.
There’s truth in the saying, if you don’t want others to know, better not do it yourself.
No matter the case, she needed to thank Aiden Webb, so after tidying up, Moira Young hailed a taxi to the gift shop to buy something.
Aiden Webb’s room wasn’t far, just upon entering didn’t see him.
"Why did you come to my place? Finished filming this morning’s scene?" Aiden Webb came slowly from behind Moira Young, face expressionless.
