Chapter 360: Chapter 360: Resolute

Moira Young looked up and glanced a few times, a female artist had already come over to greet her, "Moira, you’re back?"

This female artist had quite a good relationship with her in the company. Moira Young smiled faintly, "Yes, I’m back. How have you been lately?"

During her time abroad and now that she’s returned, she hadn’t paid much attention to the entertainment industry, so naturally, she didn’t know their current situations.

Besides, what’s reported online isn’t necessarily true.

Seeing her remain silent, Moira Young’s voice softened, saying considerately, "If it’s inconvenient to talk about, you don’t have to say anything."

She wasn’t someone who forced others.

"I’m fine." The female artist, upon hearing this, actually became flustered. She waved her hand and hesitantly said, "But, when you go to the office later, you might encounter some trouble that’ll upset you. Just be prepared."

As she spoke, she quickly lowered her head and said goodbye, "Moira, I need to attend an audition, so I won’t stay long. Let’s hang out when we’re free."

"Sure," Moira Young pressed down the questions in her heart. After the female artist left, she looked at Joe in confusion.

The latter was also confused, not understanding: "When I left a few days ago, nothing was abnormal, and the company didn’t notify me of any issues?"

However, the implication of the female artist’s words inevitably made people overthink.

Moira Young pondered for a moment, then simply went upstairs, with Joe dutifully following behind her.

Following the usual route, the two headed to the office, but before they got close, Moira Young was stopped. The staff politely said, "Sorry, Miss Young, your office isn’t here."

"Not here?" Joe was puzzled, "This is Moira’s office, isn’t it?"

She had helped Moira move things here before she left, so how could it not be?

Could it be...

A thought quickly flashed through Joe’s mind, but Moira Young calmly asked, "Then where is my new office?"

The staff pointed in a direction, then led the two inside, finally stopping by a small cubicle in a remote corner, "Miss Young, your office is here. All your original belongings have been moved in. If there are any items missing, let me know."

Moira Young looked over. The so-called office was simple, its area less than a fifth of the original, almost to the point of being shabby.

Even newcomers in the company had offices better than this.

This was clearly targeting her!

Upon realizing this, Joe was immediately shocked, eyes widening, stepping forward a few steps urgently, "You’re saying this is Moira’s new office?"

"Yes." The staff lowered his head slightly, without any hesitation.

Joe couldn’t help but rub her temples in frustration and, regardless of her standing, asked directly, "Who ordered this?"

The staff hesitated, glanced at Moira Young, and Moira Young spoke, "Go ahead and tell us."

She also wanted to know what exactly had happened.

Though she spent more time at home than at the company, changing her office without any notification still warranted an explanation, didn’t it?

She blinked, and only then did the staff reluctantly say, "It was ordered from above. I’m not sure exactly who."

The ambiguous words were as good as unsaid. Joe stomped her foot angrily, while the quick-witted staff took the opportunity to retreat, leaving the two of them there.

The surrounding was empty, not a person in sight. Joe leaned against the chair back with some frustration, "Moira, what should we do about this? Are we really going to use this office?"

But with such a shabby appearance, you wouldn’t even know if someone came in to take files. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

She rifled through the items on the desk and suddenly felt a bit relieved, "Luckily I took all the important items, otherwise it would have been troublesome."

Hearing this, Moira Young lowered her eyelids, her face still carrying a light smile, "It’s okay, let’s go back."

"And these?" Joe scanned the clean desktop.

Moira Young shook her head, "No need, none of it is important."

Taking them back would just be a waste of space; might as well leave them here as decoration.

With that, she thoughtfully asked, "Have you been in contact with Lee recently?"

Joe was momentarily distracted, thought carefully, then answered, "Lee seems quite busy lately. Other than sending me work schedules, there’s nothing else."

Moira Young acknowledged with a sound, then walked ahead and left the company.

Moira Young checked the time, thought of the morning conversation, and told Joe, "I need to go see Mrs. Miller later. You’ve been working hard lately, so take a break and enjoy yourself."

"Okay," Joe nodded vigorously, her eyes filled with excitement.

After being so busy, it was indeed time to relax.

But Moira Young turned and left, heading alone towards the Sinclair mansion.

When Moira Young arrived at the villa, the sun was already shining brightly in the sky, making everything around her feel bone-deep familiar.

Yet, after all, things had changed.

Because Uncle no longer wanted her.

She could no longer rightfully and recklessly live here as before.

Moira Young’s expression was dazed for a while, suddenly realizing the walls she thought she’d built around her heart were slipping away uncontrollably. She quickly suppressed her chaotic thoughts and rang the doorbell.

Before long, the door opened from inside, and Mrs. Miller’s voice came through, "Coming, coming, who is it..."

Her words suddenly got caught in her throat, and the joy spread across her face, smoothing out the fine lines. After a few seconds, she finally reacted and spoke, "Miss, you’re back?"

"Who else would it be?" Moira Young winked playfully and pouted, "Does Mrs. Miller not want to see me?"

Mrs. Miller instantly put on a stern face and began to lecture, "Nonsense, how could I not want to see you. By the way, why didn’t you just come in and had to ring the bell?"

"Forgot the keys at home," Moira Young tilted her head, looking very innocent.

Mrs. Miller suddenly realized, and Moira Young finally let out a sigh of relief, following her inside to change into her shoes.

In fact, she hadn’t had the villa keys for some time. Everything related to Julian Sinclair had long been sealed away and thrown back to Vesperia.

As if this severed ties completely.

Sometimes, Moira Young was more resolute than she imagined, leaving no way back.

However, Mrs. Miller was different.

Moira Young took a deep breath and slowly sank onto the sofa.

Mrs. Miller turned around, smiling and asking, "What do you want for lunch?"

Moira Young kept a straight face, seriously and earnestly thought for a moment, then quickly rattled off a menu, "Sweet and sour ribs, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, steamed fish, stir-fried beef, and a veggie dish."

"Five dishes should be enough for the two of us, no need to waste more." Moira Young added.

She wasn’t back for the food, but rather to ease Mrs. Miller’s heart.

Seeing that Mrs. Miller seemed to have more to say, Moira Young quickly changed the subject, "Is there any fruit at home? I feel like having a fruit platter."
