Chapter 358: Chapter 358: Superiority

Without waiting for an answer, he dashed out.

Julian Sinclair glanced at the door, stayed silent for a while, then opened his computer to save the video, closing his eyes in exhaustion, surrounded by cold solitude.

Solaris City, on the advertisement shooting set.

Joe shivered as he held the down jacket Moira Young had taken off and asked worriedly, "Sister Moira, the shoot hasn’t started yet, why don’t we wait to take it off? It’s terribly cold today."

The weather in Solaris City was fine a few days ago, but it has dropped suddenly lately. For the sake of the commercial, Moira was only wearing a stylish but non-warming overcoat, it looked cold no matter how you saw it.

On Moira’s face, covered in makeup to hide any signs of anomaly, a shadow passed. Joe gritted his teeth and was about to drape the coat over her.

Moira blocked him with her hand and said, "It’s okay, I’ll get used to it beforehand so that I’m not uncomfortable later during the shooting."

She smoothed the wrinkles on her clothes, and a short distance away, the director waved over, shouting, "Moira Young, Moira Young come here, let’s discuss the plot."

Moira nodded and walked over, with Joe trailing closely behind.

At the director’s spot, Moira unexpectedly saw another woman wrapped up tightly in glamorous makeup. The director smiled and spoke, "Grace, this is Ruby. This advertisement will be you two working together." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Ruby is a popular actress in the entertainment industry, firmly in the second tier, often playing domineering roles due to her cold and stunning look.

Compared to her, she was indeed considered a solid senior.

Moira didn’t act pretentious, immediately and politely addressing, "Ruby, hello."

Ruby regarded her critically, holding her head high like a swan, and after a second or two, responded reluctantly.

Seeing this, Moira nonchalantly lowered her eyelids, her attitude growing even colder than before.

The director seemed oblivious to the tension between them and picked up the script to start speaking, "The script has been modified, follow the new script for your performance afterward, do your best."

"Okay." Moira thanked him, took the script, and returned to her original spot with Joe.

Joe angrily complained, "What kind of person? Her nose is practically pointed at the sky, obviously looking down on people."

It’s clear who she was referring to and Moira replied calmly, "Don’t worry about others, just do your own job well."

The director of this advertisement which Moira landed wasn’t very famous, but he still held a certain status.

The overall theme of the advertisement revolves around a brand of bubble gum leading to a romance, and her role is the female lead.

However, there’s also a male lead and a supporting female character that advances the main couple’s love story.

Before meeting, all the actors’ information was confidential, so Moira had no idea that the supporting role was played by Ruby.

She frowned slightly but didn’t think much of it, focusing intently on pondering over the script.

Fifteen minutes later, shooting commenced.

Moira followed the script, but Ruby had frequent mishaps, stretching a scene that could be done in ten minutes to an hour.

When the director finally expressed satisfaction, Joe hurriedly draped the down jacket over Moira and quickly handed her a bottle of hot brown sugar water to warm her hands.

In a rush, Joe accidentally touched the back of Moira’s hand, finding it as cold as ice, feeling distressed, she said, "Sister Moira, are you alright?"

"I’m fine." Moira tightened her grip on the bottle of sugar water, the warmth slowly dispelling the cold. It was several minutes before she felt at ease again.

Joe helped her sit on a chair, unable to hold back her earlier anger any longer, bursting out, "Sister Moira, I watched several times, that Ruby must’ve done it intentionally, such simple actions, how could there be so many accidents?"

She had seen a few of Ruby’s performances, and admittedly, her acting was commendable, otherwise, she wouldn’t be so popular.

But today......

Joe, feeling distressed again, draped a military coat over Moira’s legs, significantly dispelling the omnipresent coldness, Moira casually opened the bottle cap and took a sip, "Her part isn’t much."

Whether it was on purpose or not, she just had to endure it, and if it really went too far, she wasn’t one to be bullied easily.

Moira took another sip of the brown sugar water when suddenly a shadow blocked her light, and a voice deliberately lowered spoke.

"Oh, drinking brown sugar water here? Are you alright, sorry, I wasn’t in the best form today, it must have been difficult for you."

She said insincerely, exuding a sense of superiority.

The entertainment industry has always been a cesspool, filled with hypocrites, so Moira wasn’t surprised by Ruby’s attitude, so different from how she acts on screen.

Just...

Moira stood up leisurely, donning an innocent smile, "It’s alright, Ruby, I don’t mind such trivial matters at all. Because attitude decides everything, if one doesn’t want to act, it naturally won’t turn out well, don’t you think?"

"You......" Ruby’s face changed, her voice escalated, "Are you blaming me for not doing a good job??"

Moira blinked, her eyes as clear as a spring you could see the bottom of, "Ruby, you can’t put it that way, did you hear any word of mine mentioning you? I’m just expressing my own opinion."

She was expressing her opinion, and however Ruby interpreted it was none of her business.

Moira’s lips curled up slightly again, seemingly kindly reminding, "Ruby, I remember the next scene can be filmed separately, make sure you’re not in a bad state again."

"Or else," her tone suddenly shifted coldly, "You’ll be the only one suffering."

Was she threatening her?

Ruby’s fingers folding her arms trembled slightly, restraining herself from losing composure, forcing a smile, "Thank you for the reminder."

She paused as if she remembered something, then resumed her critical gaze, her confidence restored, "Of course, a senior must instruct a junior, Moira Young, your acting skills are truly not good, it’s simply unwatchable, keep working hard, don’t make a fool of yourself."

She wasn’t someone with much patience, reaching this position relied heavily on having a good agent and a good company.

With them cleaning up her messes, she could take it easy.

As for Moira, judging by her appearance, she probably didn’t have any backing.

So, Ruby carried an unusual sense of superiority.

Contrary to her, Moira, initially speechless from anger, smiled again, her face relaxed, incredibly beautiful, "No need for concern, Ruby, acting improves gradually. I haven’t been in the circle long, and there are many opportunities to learn."

Every word seemed deliberately targeted, leaving Ruby speechless, lacking her earlier arrogance.

Behind Moira, Joe couldn’t hold it anymore and burst into laughter.
