Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 35: Wedding
Moira Young didn’t trust him and didn’t want to go with him, but she was completely unfamiliar with this place. After much hesitation, she cautiously followed behind him.
"You call him Uncle?" Zayne Sinclair, walking ahead, wanted to get some information out of her.
"Mm." Moira mumbled indistinctly.
"You and he have no other relationship?" He raised his tone slightly, inquiring.
Moira didn’t understand his meaning. Uncle was just Uncle, what did he mean by any other relationship?
She couldn’t help but glance at him, not wanting to answer.
Zayne saw she didn’t answer, 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
and was just about to stop walking.
"Moira." Coincidentally, Julian Sinclair had arrived.
"Uncle!" Moira rushed over as if she had seen the light; Julian was her sense of security.
"You’re awake, let’s go to the wedding venue." Julian never once glanced at Zayne.
Zayne was already used to it; he wouldn’t mind on the surface, but he would always find a way to retaliate behind the scenes.
The wedding was a lawn wedding, the setup wasn’t very lavish, but rather simple and elegant.
Julian led Moira to sit in the front row.
"Uncle, whose wedding is it after all?" As the wedding was about to start, Moira couldn’t resist asking.
"My father." Julian said these two words with resentment.
As soon as he finished, the wedding ceremony began. His deep eyes furrowed, becoming unfathomable.
Moira had never seen Julian’s family, only knowing he was an only child, his mother had passed away, and he only had a father.
So... today was his father’s wedding.
Moira had never truly delved into Julian’s inner world, nor did she ponder whether he harbored any secrets.
Therefore, she naturally didn’t understand the meaning behind Julian’s expression.
Meanwhile, Fiona Rhodes, sitting not far in the right rear, looked over worriedly. She assumed the girl sitting next to Julian must be Moira, but she didn’t mind, her gaze always fixed on Julian’s back, never leaving for a moment.
But when Moira turned her head to look at Julian, Fiona noticed her.
Her eyes narrowed slightly, brows furrowing; just that side profile was enough to stir her jealousy.
That girl, how could she be so beautiful?
Fiona watched them for a long while, not only her but also Zayne, only shifting her gaze when the wedding ceremony concluded.
Julian of course knew the two of them were watching him; he curved his lips into a seductive smile, glanced at his watch, and the plan was about to commence.
Moira felt a little hungry, but seeing that Julian seemed to be in a bad mood, she silently held back from speaking.
However, with her innocence, everything was written on her face, a fact Julian understood clearly.
"Hungry?"
Moira innocently nodded.
Julian couldn’t help but chuckle, "I’ll take you to eat."
He brought Moira to a dining room, a place for the family to eat, while the guests were outside.
But as soon as they entered, someone called Julian, saying someone outside was looking for him.
"You eat first, I’ll step out for a moment." Julian arranged a seat for Moira.
Moira knew Julian needed to socialize, so she obediently nodded.
"Good girl." A hint of worry flashed in Julian’s eyes, but he was confident about what was to happen next.
After he left, Moira picked a few favorite dishes to try and was eating happily when several people started entering the banquet hall. They all gave her strange looks, making her uncomfortable, and the food lost its flavor.
They were all from the Sinclair family, and Moira was the only outsider.
Not long after, Zayne walked in, his gaze fixated directly on Moira, who was seated in the corner.
He walked straight over and said to Moira, "Uncle has something to attend to and asked me to take you to his room to rest."
Moira put down the small fork in her hand and looked past Zayne, seeing no sign of Julian.
Considering he mentioned her Uncle sent him, she let her guard down.
"Will he come to find me later?"
Zayne saw her lack of caution and immediately smiled brightly, "Of course."
"Let’s go." He gestured for her to follow him.
Moira followed him up to the third floor, where most of the rooms looked the same. She suddenly felt she shouldn’t have been so naive to follow.
Julian... did he really send him to fetch her? She couldn’t be sure until she saw Julian again.
"Um—" She stopped in her tracks.
