Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 335: Plotting in Secret
After Julian Sinclair sent Moira Young home, he immediately boarded a private jet to Vesperia.
The plane landed directly at the Sinclair family’s private airport. Standing not far away, Julian’s father saw his silhouette and spoke sternly, "You still know to come back? Why not just die abroad?"
Julian raised his gaze, capturing the bone-chilling iciness in his eyes, "Who permitted you to lay a hand on her?"
Upon these words, his father’s face darkened as well, displeased as he furrowed his brow, "You found out?"
"I asked why you attacked her," Julian said impatiently, curling his lips.
He held no sense of courtesy toward this biological father of his.
His father’s methods were always so nauseating.
Thinking about this, Julian lost interest in further wrangling, straightforwardly disclosing his purpose of this trip: "Do not lay a hand on her again, otherwise I won’t know what I might do. Even if you are my father, I won’t show mercy."
"Is that so?" His father showed not a shred of guilt, unwilling to relent, "Then you better be careful. If you continue to be this disobedient, next time it won’t be as simple as kidnapping. I will make her disappear from this world completely."
As if to emphasize, he stressed the last few words.
With his father’s words, Julian’s face grew uglier by the second, full of hostility as he said, "Then let’s see if you have what it takes."
After this incident, could he still be as defenseless as before?
The atmosphere suddenly became tense and confrontational.
After a long moment, Julian’s father suddenly turned and left, the two parted on bad terms.
This was an argument without resolution.
Neither managed to convince the other.
Recalling his father’s words, Julian’s expression grew colder.
Just as he was about to board the plane, he was called out by a voice. Zayne Sinclair, who had rushed upon hearing the news, leaned against the wall and sneered, "Well, well, isn’t this my famous cousin? You actually came back?? Truly rare."
Without waiting for a reply, he clapped his hand, as if having a realization, "Oh, I get it. It’s for that little girl Moira Young, right? I didn’t think you could become so incapable, Julian, that you can’t even protect a little girl."
As a rival, Zayne viewed Julian as a thorn in his side, naturally not missing any chance to taunt him.
For Julian to be forced to fly directly to Vesperia signifies how severe this matter is.
Judging by his expression, he hadn’t gotten a satisfactory response.
Of course, with Uncle’s stubborn nature, a good outcome is unlikely.
Zayne’s smile deepened, he wanted to say more but was intimidated by a single look from Julian, the words stuck in his throat.
Julian regarded him as if looking at a clown, devoid of any emotion.
"Damn it, Julian, you’ll get yours." Only after Julian’s tall silhouette completely disappeared, did Zayne regain his senses and cursed aloud, his once handsome face contorted.
From childhood to adulthood, when had he ever run into problems? Yet everything goes awry when it involves this so-called cousin.
Always a step behind.
If that matter were to be exposed...
Zayne’s expression shifted, he quickly returned to his room, and once the door closed, he eagerly took out his phone to call Uncle Rhodes.
Eavesdropping is always risky outside, and to give up just like that, he felt extremely suffocated.
"Uncle." Despite extreme displeasure, upon the call connecting, Zayne suppressed his anger and greeted politely.
Uncle Rhodes chuckled, "It’s Zayne, right? Calling me at this time, what’s the matter?"
Glancing at his watch, Zayne noticed it’s the perfect time for Uncle to be having dinner.
He pressed down his emotions, his voice mostly back to normal, "Sorry, Uncle Rhodes, I wasn’t considering the time. I wanted to discuss the matter concerning Julian Sinclair."
"Him?" Uncle Rhodes’ smile faded as he put down his spoon, "Is something going on with him?"
If it’s not something major, why would Zayne be in such haste?
Understanding Uncle’s unspoken meaning, Zayne’s complexion shifted briefly, before speaking in line with his original thought: "He hasn’t done anything against our interests yet, but I think now is time to reveal the news about Julian’s amnesia."
Companies in Asia wouldn’t allow an amnesiac to serve as president, and the board members wouldn’t support an amnesiac either.
Once Julian loses his advantage, having nothing, what qualification does he have to compete with him?
Zayne could not wait to see Julian defeated by his hands. He tightened his grip on his phone and reiterated, "While Julian is yet to return home, it’s the perfect chance to catch him off guard."
Initially hesitant, Uncle Rhodes thought for a moment upon hearing this, "Alright, then I’ll contact the media shortly to start reporting?"
The Sinclair Group president’s amnesia is big news; many media personnel would likely capitalize on it and create attractive headlines.
With a satisfied expression, Fiona Rhodes sitting beside frowned slightly, and asked, "Dad, are you planning to expose this now?"
Even though she didn’t catch the specifics of the call, Fiona guessed some of it. She shook her head at her father, disagreeing, "Dad, the timing isn’t ripe yet."
They managed to snatch several projects from Julian and spread rumors detrimental to The Sinclair Group, but it’s far from enough.
Admittedly, time has been delayed a lot; it can’t drag on much longer.
Fiona knocked her chopsticks against the rim of a white porcelain bowl, suggesting, "I think we can put more pressure on Julian, accelerating the collapse of his image with more negative effects, then releasing the amnesia news naturally."
She didn’t lower her voice; rather she slightly raised it, making sure Zayne heard her clearly.
If Julian can be brought down more severely, he could wait.
With this thought, Zayne’s tone was more gentle than before, "Fiona’s right, I didn’t consider it thoroughly. Is this something you will do or should I?"
Uncle Rhodes and Fiona exchanged a glance, cleared his throat and said, "I’ll handle it. It’s more convenient for us than for you."
Zayne was far away in Vesperia, unable to solve immediate issues, even if he acted, there would be many inconveniences. Uncle just happens to have contacts with some company owners displeased with Julian, might as well let him handle it directly.
Once decided, Uncle Rhodes hung up and immediately started contacting the owners, finishing with an exceedingly satisfied look on his face.
Except for one or two cautious ones, everyone else quickly agreed.
